We worked with them both for the design and build of a second floor bump out and main bath renovation. I recently had the pleasure of working with Talon Construction for the renovation of my basement, which included the addition of a home theater. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional, leaving me thoroughly impressed and delighted with the results. We have had the pleasure of working with Talon Construction twice over the last two years on major home renovation projects. The first project was a complete master bathroom tear out and renovation AND a full finished basement addition. The second project was a full kitchen tear out and remodel. Our house is almost 30 years old an was in need of some major renovation. Needless to say the entire process went smooth and on schedule. Our house is now more upscale than the model homes in our area. We also loved that we could customize anything we wanted. We would highly recommend Talon Construction and wouldn't hesitate to use them again!

Talon Construction is high quality from start to finish. We hired Talon to build the interior of the second floor. They sat down and helped us visualize and design the rooms. When the builders came, they didn't just follow the plans blindly but recommended changes to make it a better living space. We appreciated that very much. They kept in constant communication with us to keep us informed on what was going to happen next. When they gave us a date, they met that date. Their workers were polite and kept the workspace clean. When they were done, we had a beautiful new upstairs that exceeded our expectations. It is more than we could ever imagine. Communication was excellent. Eddie was fantastic letting us know what was accomplished each day and what would be going on the next day. The crews were very respectful of our house and made sure to cover the carpet before working on everything. The bathroom was complete gutted and redone. Talon construction took our vision and made it a reality. The bathroom looks brighter, bigger and all around better. I would absolutely hire these guys again to work on our house.

Talon completed 2 bathroom renovations and a kitchen backsplash. They were very professional and outlined the required work and cost. They had a detailed contract which had no surprises. As the job progressed, problems with my house were found and Talon went above and beyond to deal with Frederick authorities and bring everything to code. Their work was perfect and I will contract them again for my next project. All the workmen were cordial and very pleasant. We enjoyed seeing them each day.

I cannot thank Talon Construction enough for the beautiful addition they designed and built. During the entire process Paul was extremely patient and great at setting expectations. Then I was lucky enough to have Professional Carpenters Steve and Mike create what Brian designed into a beautiful two room addition with foyer, patio, and deck. They are truly masters at what they do. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship is just amazing. They took pride in their work as if they were working on their own home. Eddie handled the scheduling and timing of all the different projects- materials, framing, insulation, electrical work, sprinklers, drywall, flooring, painting, HVAC, and all the inspections too. Eddie kept the entire project going and had it finished on time! And thanks to Ed who was the organizer and behind the scenes guy. He handled the stressful part by keeping detailed records of the entire project. I will be using Talon Construction for future projects. Paul, Brian, Steve, Mike, Eddie, Ed, Zach (flooring) , Bob (patio), the very skilled Painter, and all the professional subcontractors-together they created my forever home for me and my family.

Talon did a great job on our bathrooms. we really liked their design suggestions and their staff who worked in our house were professional and friendly. All the work was high quality and we are very happy with the result. They also worked with us to stay in budget.

Talon just completed remodeling of our kitchen, laundry room and powder room, About 5 years ago they remodeled our master bath. They worked with us from design to completion and ensured we were completely satisfied at every step in the process. The quality of the work by the Talon Team and the Subcontractors was outstanding. The attention to every detail by the Talon craftsman and I sincerely mean craftsman, and their subcontractors was amazing, without compromise and at a fair price. We loved working with Talon for our kitchen and sunroom renovation. From the start to the end of the project we worked with the same few folks (Val, Eddie, Dave, Ed) who were great and helped us tremendously through our first experience with renovation. Kitchen Renovation We have recently had our kitchen totally gutted and renovated by Talon Construction and from design to demolition through installation and completion of the project, the company has been very helpful, professional, and flexible. The designer worked with us to not only develop our vision of a kitchen, which accommodated our needs, but also to create a room of beauty and function. The construction team, with plumbers, electricians, cabinet builders, tile installers, floor refinishers and the appliance company, were all coordinated by our superintendent like a conductor with his orchestra. We are delighted with the outcome as it is beautiful and reflects our casual, but busy lifestyle.

Lovely results as expected. True to estimated time and cost of completion. Easy to communicate with team and change orders when needed. Minimal disruption to our daily life. Tidy and professional.

Talon has done several projects on our house over the years. Each one was completed to our complete satisfaction. They are a great when it comes to help with planning the job so it will be successful. Over the duration of the job, things happen mostly when they say they will happen, and their subs are very professional.

When I bought a new house in Thurmont this year, it had an ugly combined powder room-laundry room that I knew I needed to divide and renovate. Talon did a great job on designing a separation of the powder room from the laundry room, and on all phases of planning and construction. They turned the worn tile floor into a continuation of the hardwood floors in the rest of my house. No seam or transition is visible - I didn't know this was possible! All the new fixtures are great, and I particularly like the sliding barn door Talon included as part of the renovation. I felt that I got a very good value for what I paid for the project.

I own my own Woodworking/cabinet business and have done work for Talon Construction on numerous occasions. They always keep their schedules and do a top notch job. Excellent craftsmanship, pride in their work! I'm the owner of a thriving real estate company, and I would hands down recommend Talon to anyone looking to complete a project - large or small. All the work is not shown here, although the big project was adding this screened in porch. We were able to customize the design of the work to fit the needs of our lifestyle. Where you see dirt in these pictures is where a large deck existed prior to them demolishing it for the project. Talon built a sunroom addition on the back of our house. The addition is beautiful. The company was very easy to work with. They provided thorough communication every step of the project. The workers did quality work. They were efficient and cleaned up daily. The supervisors were always available to discuss any questions or concerns throughout the project. We would definitely hire Talon again for a future home improvement project.

We recently completed an extensive master bath renovation (complete gut job) with Talon Construction. Once our contract was ironed out, everything was smooth sailing and transparent with respect to product allowances, billing, and work being warranted. The foreman and crew were very professional, highly skilled, tidy and super pleasant to work with. Plus, having the job completed right on schedule was a nice bonus. If ever we were to tackle another reno we definitely would go with Talon again (even to the point of requesting the exact same crew). While the process was somewhat tedious to live through, I have to say that we are very pleased with our gorgeous new bathroom!

They are also willing to work through a construction challenge with the entire team-remodeling older houses is tricky due to hidden problems, and we all work together to find the best, most economical solution. We can't say enough good things about Talon. Bob, Ed and Dave are true professionals and made the process of finishing our basement a pleasure. We interviewed three companies, Talon was not the cheapest but definitely the best. Our basement project was approx 1100 sf, creating a large media room, storage areas, office, full bath, and space for future gym and bar. Talon helped refine our 'wish list' into workable spaces, and spaces that worked with our budget. Framing began in February 2015, on the exact date promised. Dave is a fantastic project manager - always checking in with us at the end of the day to get our approval on the progress and willing to make changes. All of the employees who were in our house during those 7 weeks were polite and respectful. Ed came by on a regular basis to keep us updated on expenditures and payments due. The project was completed on time and within budget. Remodeling projects are more than just dates and number$. Created an addition using the original footprint of the house by raising the roof line and adding 3 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms with walk in closets, laundry area, kids playroom, enlarged the mudroom, new stairway and railings and created a new attic space. Garage was also utilized for support beams and the entire garage was repainted and looks like new! Added hardwood floor all throughout the 2nd floor in the addition and in the existing bedrooms, hall and landing areas. They were able to match the current brick exterior and roofing making the addition look like it was part of the original construction. Excellent local company to work with. Project manager and team were very experienced professionals. Subcontractors were also long time partners of the company. They worked to develop a design that met our needs. Any issues that arose during construction were solved by the team to our satisfaction. Quality work! Well thought out design. Materials utilized were of good quality. We hope to utilize Talon again for a future construction project and would not hesitate to recommend them.

I just don't have enough stars to express how wonderful my experience has been! From the initial meeting, through the design process, and even including the last walk through, the team at Talon displayed exceptional creativity, clear and frequent communication, quality workmanship, attention to detail, pure professionalism. We highly recommend Talon Construction. They were organized, transparent, reasonably priced and very client friendly. Most importantly, they did a fantastic job with our basement. Organized – As soon as we called them, Talon set up an appointment to get measurements of our basement. This was our first major home improvement project, so we were unsure what to expect. Talon comprehensively detailed their general process and plan for projects. We were very nicely surprised when they designed three very good and detailed plans for the look of our basement without even a commitment from us to engage them. This immediately put us at ease and fostered our sense of trust in the company. Transparent – At the onset, Talon was very upfront about the costs of the project. Shortly after taking measurements, Talon provided us with a written estimate. While other contractors we engaged also provided us with costs, the thing that set Talon apart was that it provided detailed and specific descriptions for each part of the project (e.g., identifying what came with the costs), including allowances for specific portions of the project (i.e., flooring, cabinets, bathroom/fixtures). These allowances were generally generous, and covered much of the higher end materials we chose - if we chose items that were below the allowances, those amounts came back to us. Reasonably Priced – The written estimate that we received was better than the majority of the other contractors that we considered. They stuck to the estimate and the only costs that went over were when we chose higher end items for our bathroom and flooring. Very Client Friendly – Talon did not pressure us to make a decision on what items we wanted or on our timeframes. When the project started, they let us know far in advance when we needed to make our selections by, so they could complete the project on time. Also, they were always willing to answer questions thoughtfully, with the attitude that no question is too dumb to answer. In addition, when the basement was complete, they came back during the spring to repair grass that was trodden on during the renovation. They also assured us a return visit in the winter (after one season of settling). If anything goes wrong, we feel confident that Talon would come back to address the issue. They were really just a great pleasure to work with. Another thing that we liked about Talon is their business structure. The three individuals we worked with throughout the process each had a stake in the company, and accordingly, had a stake in the outcome of the basement. We believe that this structure made a big difference. If we had to identify issues with Talon, we would say: 1) Some of their contractors were located far from our house – this probably helped defray some of the costs of the project but made some of our selections a bit inconvenient as we had to travel to Frederick and Mount Airy to make them – a small price to pay but one thing to keep in mind; 2) One should have an idea of how the style of the basement should look when hiring Talon. Although they gave us multiple ideas on the architecture, we had to make many of the choices ourselves with slight input. This is different from some other firms we looked at that would provide interior designers/stylists that would help us make the decisions – again, this probably helped with reducing costs. Overall, we were very pleased with the work of Talon. We set high expectations for the company after hearing great things about them, and were very pleasantly surprised when they exceeded those expectations.

I have been blessed for the last 8 years to be able to work with Talon Construction and their clients to provide cabinets and counter tops for various remodeling projects. Talon is by far the most experienced and well organized design build firm that I have had the pleasure of working with. Talon Construction Inc. is one of the greatest construction companies in the area and we are fortunate to have a construction company of their caliber available to us in the Washington DC Metropolitan area. My husband and I came to know Talon at a time of real crisis - while on vacation approximately 80% of our home was destroyed when a toilet fill-valve broke and many thousands of water ( WSSC estimated approximately 58,000 gallons) flowed through our home over a 10 day period. Talon came to our rescue. They under-bid another company by $75,000; their expertise in dealing with home owner's insurance was extensive, and an agreement with the insurance company was reached in a reasonable amount of time. Their workers from top down were top-notch professionals, who came highly recommended. They did an excellent job and they took pride in their work. No one could have asked for more of them. They worked for us over an 8 month period and we came to know them as family. At our home the Talon Team remodeled bathrooms, bedrooms, re-did the entire main level that included our kitchen, dining room and living room. We were very pleased with all of the work they did and would not hesitate to hire them again in the future. They possess something in this day and age that rarely exists - INTEGRITY! From the bottom of our hearts we say "Thank you Talon for all you did for us and for rebuilding our lives!"

We hired Talon Construction to install a new kitchen island as we wanted an upgraded cook top. Talon, when looking at the job, realized the refrigerator needed to be moved and recommended removing an existing pantry to the left of the refrigerator and putting cabinets on either side. There were some issues during the way, but the end result was very good. Issues were as follows: Island cabinet color (recommended by Talon) caused the island to take much longer than anticipated to receive, so job had to be divided into refrigerator move, then island install. There was also an issue with the cook top itself (having to do with the warranty for the combination cook top / down draft), but this was not Talon's problem. Talon did what they could with the cook top vendor, and while this produced some anxiety for a few days, was rectified with the vendor.

Talon Construction added a 3000 SF pool house/ office addition for us. Their quality of craftsmanship and attention to detail are as good as we have seen. And they work to find solutions in the field that help achieve the owner's vision. In this day and age it is hard to find a builder who takes such pride in the quality of their work and satisfaction of their client.

I would recommend Talon to anyone looking to do a renovation or addition. We added a large addition to our home and interviewed several companies. We could tell right away that Talon was the right choice. We started going over ideas right away, got a quick estimate, and even a computer animated sketch of what our home would look like. We were given cell phone numbers and email addresses for everyone involved from the sales manager to the operations manager to the guys at our house doing the work. The level of communication and response was outstanding. The project was finished on time even after a few changes made by us. We couldn't have been happier with our home and the level of service From Talon!

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Talon Construction. They completed a 740 ft addition onto our 1939 colonial home. The addition is two stories and includes a family room, office/bedroom and powder room on the first floor and a master suite/bathroom on the second floor. My husband and I knew Talon was for us when we went to their website and saw the code of conduct listed. My husband is in law enforcement so security is as important to us as the quality of work. It also seemed like Talon really takes pride in their company and after working with them we can tell you that it is so true. They cared that every last detail was taken care of and really made the addition feel like it has always been there by paying close attention to detail and truly providing outstanding craftsmanship. My husband and I absolutely LOVE every room and can’t decide which one is our favorite. Not to mention, all of this was completed in 4 months. They were dedicated and hard working from start to end and completed the project before the deadline. The team was 100% professional and extremely pleasant to work with. My wife and I have heard of Talon's reputation and have seen two of their completed projects: an addition and a sun room. Both projects were local and were members of our family. The estimate Talon provided to us was accurate, plus we made a few tweaks during reno. We had a new bathroom constructed/installed in addition to a renovated main floor bath. There were a few hiccups along the way, as to be expected, but Talon was receptive to changes and made adjustments as needed. Great job. Recommended.

Our remodel experience with Talon Construction was excellent. We expanded a room and added a bathroom over our garage and also partially remodeled another bathroom. Talon with Ed Rasavage, Taylor Matthews, and Mary Holly provided as close to a turnkey remodel experience as we believe humanly possible. Any complex remodeling process has glitches (and change orders) along the way. What makes the difference between stressful experience and a great, smooth experience, is how these issues are handled. We feel like we were brought into the process and expertly guided all along the way. Talon’s honest, customer oriented approach is worth its weight in gold. We hired Talon to renovate and add an addition to our 100 year old farmhouse, involving the kitchen, a new bedroom, living room and a new bathroom. Ed Rasavage was our project manager and he and his team were very professional, kept us up to date on the project, responded promptly to concerns or changes we required and got the job done only a couple of months late. We are very pleased with the addition and have had Talon back for a second bathroom remodel and some roof work. We highly recommend them.

Ed Rasavage oversaw a major renovation project at our house. He and his whole team were highly professional and took evident pride in doing excellent work. Ed always responded promptly to any phone calls or emails from us, explained things we didn't understand, and quickly addressed any concerns (which were few). We would not hesitate to work with Talon again.

Talon construction did two projects for me and my wife. First we were not sure who they were and had not worked with them before so we gave them a small project in the house. It was removal of an old fireplace and installation of a storage cabinet. They did a very professional, clean and efficient job. Next, we decided to do a major addition to our house. What started as a screened in sunroom became a octagon sunroom with a coppola and four season construction. We worked with an architect to design the building and then put the work out to bid. Talon's bid was in the middle of the prices we got. Because the project was so complicated we were very concerned. We choose Talon because of the people. Specifically Bob and Dave. Bob tends to work in the sales area (though he can swing a hammer) and Dave tends to do the delivery (I've seen him with several hammers). The project kicked off on time and was an absolute pleasure to see come together. Specifically, the employees they brought to the site were incredibly professional and very good at what they did. Talon also works with subcontractors on various parts of the job and seems to have found very solid people. They all worked as a single team as far as I could tell. Frankly, I don't think Talon would let monkeys or anyone else not top notch screw up their reputation. To cut to the chase - Talon is a top flight firm. I get nothing for this review and have no reason to say anything but the truth. We need to know who the good guys are and keep them in business. No disruptions, no complaints, no delinquencies. We got what we paid for in tangibles and more than we paid for in the intangibles of trust and confidence.

Ed Rasavage, Operations Manager and Talon Construction are exceptionally professional with superb knowledge, skills, and abilities. The craftsmanship on my project was exacting and superbly constructed. I have recommended Talon to my friends and colleagues new have engaged them to do additional projects
