The process of opening a new retail business could be daunting if you don’t have the right people and companies supporting the vision. I am so fortunate that I selected the right architect with Ebru Ercan principal architect of e3 design (https://www.designwithe3.com/). I own Big Frog Custom T-Shirts & More of Dunwoody, GA and the space is beautiful because of Ebru and her partnership with Scott Jennings from Moeller & Purcell Construction. Ebru came to my space and we walked through what the franchise required as well as what my goals would be for the 1600 SQFT of retail space. In Dunwoody, to receive a construction permit, one has to have stamped drawings from a licensed professional. Ebru’s knowledge, attention to detail, strong & timely communications, suggestions for cost savings (and avoidance), as well as her fast turn-around was so impressive. Many people commented to me how lucky I was to find an architect who turned around the drafts & final stamped drawings so quickly. We had an on-site collaborative contractor meeting and dove into the cost of the build out, what was a nice to have, and what was required from the franchise and local city ordnance. The end result was only minor changes from the permit office and a problem free build out. I am so pleased with the final result. The space is beautiful, functional, and most importantly, aligns with the Franchise concept to support a new business in Dunwoody. I highly recommend working with Ebru and e3 Designs. She is an amazing partner to have on your side. With my confidence in her ability, I was able to focus on other aspects of the start-up rather than getting mired down in the plans of the build-out. I am able to open my business Jan 8, 2020 because of Ebru and her talents. It’s going to be so rewarding serving my community and it all starts with the people who help get you there. Reusing expensive existing delicate marble, e3 design updated the console for improved sophisticated form and function. I have worked with E3 design on several different projects ranging from an entire capital improvement project in a high-rise condo in Midtown Atlanta to an entire remodel of an older home in Brookhaven area. On the high-rise project that totaled 1.3M, I was able to preview the design layout, options she presented to the client and witnessed the professionalism she displayed through the difficult process of her vision for the building through conception and completion of the project. I thoroughly enjoyed working side by side with her on this project; she always made herself available to assist me with layout and design questions. I have completed several of these types of projects with my company, Universal Restorations, but none have run as smooth as the one we completed in Midtown due to all her efforts. Most designers want to hand off the project once materials are selected and ordered, but as stated before Ebru was right there from start to finish. The Brookhaven project- I had the privilege of seeing the home right after she started the design process, work with her again to the very end to transform a very plain ranch home into a very modern up-to-date home that is currently on the market. Even though I have been in the construction business for 30 plus years it was amazing to see the vision she had for this home and how she was able to transform it into the beautiful home it is today. I have also worked with Ebru at E3 design on several smaller projects ranging from a bathroom remodel to updating office work area. It has always impressed me how no matter what size of the job she is able to give it the attention it deserves and make sure her client is more than happy in the end.
