We had a terrific experience working with Ed and Debbie on our full kitchen remodel in mid 2023. We felt that they were professional and meticulous with all facets of the project from start to finish. We only had a directional idea of what we wanted and they took the time to design everything giving us many options to choose from. It felt like they were fully invested in the design process and were determined to come up with a plan that we would be happy with. The actual construction process went smoothly too. They spent a significant amount of time working on a schedule for the project and were able to flex it appropriately such that something was always moving forward. Ultimately, we were thrilled with the final product and the job finished within the projected timeframe and within budget. Highly. recommended.

We had Ed & Deb do a complete interior remodel of our 1967 built home. Added major support beams and opened the plan. Completly changed the Kitchen layout and doubled the cabinet space. Added a large work island with cooktop and oven. New Oak Hardwood floors throughout. The result is nothing less than spectacular. What a change to our home. We could not be more pleased with the level of professionalism and quality of work by Brickwood and all the Subs. Deb understood our vision and translated that vision into a great plan. Ed and his crew were amazing. We ran into a few hidden supprises but they were handled without problems. Kenny was a joy to work with. Thanks for a enjoyable remodeling experience. From the first time they walked in our house, my husband said, "they are the ones who will remodel our basement." We were never disappointed with the work or the results of our project. I do not hesitate to recommend Brickwood Builders to anyone who is looking for a contractor. Everyone who worked at our house was professional and extremely knowledgable. The work was completed on time and with all the possible delays due to Covid-19, it was greatly appreciated. We were consulted on everything that was done. The work was inspected daily, therefore, there were few mistakes that needed to be corrected. We are most pleased that we selected Brickwood Builders, Inc to complete our project.

Project : Mid Century Home Renovation I bought my quirky and beautiful 1950s home when I moved home to Greensboro after 25 years away. I have renovated and built many houses do I knew what I was in for as this has had a great deal of potential and loads of challenges. I hired Ed and Deb after reviewing many other builders and receiving recommendations from other clients. From the very beginning, they were the utmost professionals paying attention to making sure I was able to get most everything I wanted and could afford. No detail is too small for Ed and Deb and every member of their team. Their subcontractors are quite simply the best I have ever worked with in over 35 years of buying and renovating my homes. They may not be the fastest or the cheapest but they are the best. Fast and cheap means you are not satisfied with your home when it is complete. I couldn’t be happier! There is not one thing I would change. And that is a first for me! Ed and Deb and their team treated me like family from the beginning. Over the course of a year, they were intimately involved in making sure my forever home was perfect. My dog has very few people in this world that he trusts in his houses d these two are on the list. I hired Ed and Deborah Butler based on viewing some of their work in other homes. I did not know them at before that. Their work was top flight, professional and on time. Pricing was reasonable. Hiring them was a good decision. The job was to turn an attic into a music studio. This picture does not do the room justice. Every cabinet and the desk were custom designed and made. The room was previously a gabled attic with chipboard on the walls. Ed identified serious structural damages a former owner had done and corrected those before proceeding with the job. The job itself went smoothly. Brickwood has a good stable of sub-contractors and Ed manages them very well. In short, these folks did a great job for us.

Ed and Debbie Butler are professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with. Brickwood Builders renovated our master bathroom and kitchen 6 years ago or so. When our adult children moved out recently, the hall bath that they had used for 20 years was sorely in need of updating. We contacted Ed and Debbie, reviewed our ideas and budget, and ended up with a fresh, updated bathroom. Their craft personnel are well skilled, courteous and professional in their work and follow up. Highly recommended!

Over the past six years Brickwood Builders have completed three major renovation projects in our home and several minor repairs. These have included a complete bath remodel, repairs from water damage both inside and outside, an outdoor path, and replacement of a fireplace. We have continued to utilize their services and would recommend them to others based on several important factors. Firstly, Debbie has an excellent eye for design and style while paying close attention to our desires, resulting in materials and colors that integrate well with our home. Secondly, Ed and the work crews have been extremely knowledgeable and careful in the demolition and installation phases, with close attention to detail for both function and aesthetics. The bathroom and fireplace are truly gorgeous, surpassing our expectations. Finally, they are the most honest contractors we have worked with, both during the design and concept phase and the financial arrangements.

We have just finished a full house remodel of my childhood home with Brickwood Builders. Ed and Debbie have been wonderful to work with from start to finish. They were excellent in helping us determine a realistic budget to accomplish our goals. From paint colors to granite, hardware to light fixtures, upgrades to an older home, meeting and exceeding building codes, and addressing needed repairs, they were educating us and helping us make decisions along the way. They were at our house daily, overseeing everything, and giving us updates on what to expect next. We are so pleased with the end result, and appreciate their time in making sure every detail has been met! I can not say enough good things about Brickwood Builders! We have used them for two different projects now and had a great experience both times. They are very knowledgeable and helped us through every step of the process. We were very pleased with the quality of their work, as well as their subcontractors. They were onsite daily to oversee progress and answer any questions we had. They were very upfront about the budget and any changes along the way, and finished on schedule. We are so happy with our addition and will continue to use them for future projects.

Debbie and Ed did a major renovation to our house in 2014. They built a second story addition off of our master bedroom which contained a new master bathroom and a sitting room. They also turned our old master bathroom into a walk in closet. 2 years later, we could not be more happy with the finished work. The workmanship is second to none. They were wonderful to work with during the entire process. They thought about details we would have never thought about and were very open to our desires and what we wanted. We have built a house, done other renovations and had lots of interactions with contractors. This experience was by far the best experience of them all. We have recommended Brickwood to others many times since. We would hire them again in a heartbeat. Recently, the shower head in the new bathroom began to lead and a plummer told us that the delta faucet had a defect. Delta sent us a new part, but calling a plummer back would have been another expense. On a whim, my husband called Ed. Ed came to our house and ensured that the new part was installed. He didn't ask questions and didn't charge us. He had no legal obligation to do this, as our year warrantee, was over. However, Brickwood came through for us again. This is why I felt it was very important that I leave them a review. You will NOT be disappointed choosing to work with Debbie and Ed. They are the best!

We found Ed and Deb to be extremely competent and professional in all respects with regard to our sun room addition. We had numerous ideas of what we wanted to accomplish and Ed and Deb walked us through various options considering style, appearance, and cost factors. We found the design phase to be extremely important and their computer modeling was very helpful. This careful attention to detail in the beginning resulted in a final product that had little to no surprises or additional unforeseen costs. Some aspects of the project were professionally challenging and they worked through these in excellent fashion. They are an excellent team with each bringing their own perspective that resulted in a finished project beyond our expectations. We will not hesitate to use them for any future home projects and have already recommended them to friends.

Brickwood has remodeled the kitchen and added an upstairs bedroom in our home. They are professional and the completed jobs are beautiful. They are in the process of completing a screened in porch for us. We get compliments on our kitchen all the time.

Brickwood expanded and remodeled the kitchen of both my daughter's home and my neighbor's home. Deborah used Houzz with amazing results to help her pinpoint what each of her clients wanted to see in their homes. She was current on all products on the market and the best suppliers of each. Each kitchen was opened to the dining room. New, enlarged counter tops and cabinets were added as well as new appliances, sink and faucets. The flow is now perfect.

I could not ask for a better experience! Brickwood builders are the most professional, knowledgeable, and quality group that we have ever encountered! Debbie and Ed know more about every detail of our remodel than any subcontractor or salesman in each and every area. For example, at our appointment with the cabinet company, Debbie knew as much or more about cabinetry and design possibilities than the cabinet designer. Debbie and Ed are kind people who are a pleasure to be around and have made this HUGE remodel an enjoyable and stress free experience. Also the individuals that are working daily at our home are also friendly, respectful, and hardworking. Several times I have been close to the work site and the guys have always been talking about work or nice, positive things. No one smokes nor have I found one cup or piece of trash from them even though they've been here almost 40 hours this week. We are highly impressed and beyond pleased with the skill and integrity of brickwood builders. They are the best!!!!
