Darlene has helped me with three renovations in different homes, two of them major and one of them minor. She helped with the re-design, selection of contractors, matériels, furnishings, curtains, colour schemes, layout etc. Darlene is easy to work with and I have always been completely satisfied with the spaces we have created together. For the third time, we have asked Darlene to assist us in deciding on colours and finishes for an interior project. We had a vision and she took that vision and helped us bring it to fruition!!! Darlene has helped us with our home updates over several years. She is sensitive to our needs and wants and has presented us with lots of great ideas. Recently we completed a much needed laundry room and bathroom renovation and we are thrilled with the results. Darlene suggested a lighted niche in the new shower which was a challenge to find the proper lighting for but it was well worth the effort. It adds an interesting design feature and provides a nice soft light at night. I love the beautiful, black geometric lights she found for over the vanity also. Very stylish. The laundry room is on the main level of our home and we previously kept the door closed to hide the room. Now we have a new pocket door that saves space in the narrow room and we don’t mind leaving the door open to admire the sleek, bright space. We now have a pullout closet for the vacuum hose and mops, new stacking washer and dryer, a large, deep stainless steel sink and lots of storage space, all in a small, narrow room. Darlene is delightful to work with. She has always been accommodating with her time and effort to make the best possible experience for her clients.

Darlene helped us with the design of our oversized living room. Darlene listened to both of our ideas of what we wanted from the space. We did not want to purchase new furniture, so as part of the design she included everything we wanted to keep and made some possible suggestions of items we could change. When she sent us the 3D drawings we were blown away, she had taken our ideas plus added her own AMAZING ideas. Darlene created a feature wall that looks amazing. She consulted on my first condo renovation and based on the initial positive experience she was the first person I called when I moved into my recent home. At the first meeting, she listened to our wants and needs. She was able to think outside the box and presented options that we hadn't thought of, which resulted in a kitchen that is more open and functional. Was willing to assist during the project with interaction with contractors and choosing of materials. Made sure we were comfortable with choices and costs.

We hired Dressing Rooms to help us design an addition and some remodelling to our home. It was a tricky task because the original part of the house was built in 1906 and the rest is from the 70's. We were struggling with how to make the layout work better for us. Darlene had great ideas and helped save us money by finding simpler solutions to using our space more efficiently to suit our needs. She was able to modernize the home without losing the charm of the original build. We mostly appreciated the 3D floor plan she created so we could see what our project would look like. It was a pleasure to work with Darlene because she listened attentively to our needs and opinions and did not impose her own. She made valuable suggestions based on her expertise. Darlene helped us with the design and decor of our renovations, which included a new entrance, a new kitchen and new floors and paint throughout the main floor. She did a fabulous job. We love how everything looks, it's absolutely beautiful. Right from the beginning, she asked me questions to learn my personal style and respected that throughout all our choices. She guided us in our choices and gave us some great suggestions while staying within our personal tastes. She helped us find some great compromises between two very different tastes so that both my husband and I absolutely love the final result!
