Open plan living space

I recently had an expert hit session with Victoria and it was so helpful. We have moved into a new house with a big open plan living space and I have been struggling with working out how to use and style the space. Victoria asked really helpful questions and gave some great advice and ideas, based on our taste and how we want to use the space. I was feeling a bit overwhelmed with it all but after the session with Victoria I feel really excited and can't wait to get started!

We enlisted Victoria’s help when we reached a stasis when building our extension. We were really struggling with making decisions and agreeing on finishes and over a period of two hours Vic offered her expertise and we ticked off a long list of things that up until that point we just couldn't agree on. Not only that, despite us thinking we had the only workable layout for our kitchen units, she made recommendations on the layout that have made so much more sense. She also provided ideas for finishes and hardware and excellent tips for where to find them and where to spend your money to make the greatest impact for our space and budget. We came out of the consultation feeling so relieved, and so happy that we found a way to move forward with our kitchen design.

Interior Design advice

Victoria helped me figure out how to put finishing touches on a couple of rooms in my home, bringing everything together to create more harmony. It was fun working with her, bouncing off ideas and really envisioning what our spaces could look like. I appreciated how she listened to my needs and always considered how to make things work within my limitations, there was always a solution. She was able to quickly see from the space what needs shifting or adding. We covered A LOT during our 2 hour session. Thanks, Victoria.

Victoria is excellent at providing clarity and cohesion and keeping focus, a not so obvious skill. She respected my brief to keep old and much loved pieces for my bedroom scheme, also great on economy, but cleverly updated it and brought it all together. For my sitting room I think what I loved most was how she inspired my confidence to make quite bold decisions. She’s also the best at sourcing, everything from electrical fittings to furniture and accessories, in short both stylishly creative and practical, a winning combination! I’m so happy and get many compliments.

I contacted Victoria to assist us with space planning - specifically the redesign of our downstairs layout. She was very responsive and thorough in her questioning and listened carefully to our ideas and the challenges we faced. Victoria delivered a few options for our redesign, which we were pleased with and wouldn't have considered without her professional advice. I highly recommend Victoria for space planning and would use her services again for the interior design stages of our project.

Victoria was the golden key to all my favourite design choices in our renovation. She made suggestions that I didn’t know were possible and most valuably gave me confidence to go with choices that I loved but needed reassurance to make. If I hadn’t have picked these things I would have regretted it! I was making most of the decisions on my own and I had never done such a massive project before. I was working on 6 rooms and it as exciting as that was, I soon became overwhelmed by choice and cost. Victoria gave me great steers, from where to spend the money for most impact, how to use the architecture of a room and what brands to use to compliment my ideas. We looked at everything from light fittings to grout - which is something I hadn’t even noticed before! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Victoria to anyone. I love her style and yet I always felt she was gently nudging me to explore my own. I learnt a great deal from the relatively short time working with her and will definitely go back to her next time I need guidance and inspiration..

Vic expertly transformed our bedroom into a stylish, grown-up and functional sanctuary. From the initial brief to the wonderful visuals and the final dressing of the room, she's been an invaluable guide. She introduced bold new ideas that we wouldn't have thought of, or had the confidence to see through, but still remained true to our style. I can’t recommend her nightly enough. The investment has paid off even more than I had hoped, both in terms of the results and the time & stress saved. She’s also totally lovely to work with!

I approached Vic at Drawn as I wanted to ensure we made the most of our new garden room. It might sound OTT to use an Interior Designer on such a project but we wanted the space to work really hard - as a home office, a space for socialising and a home gym! Having spent 18 months staring at a spare room wall I really wanted this to be a space I wanted to hang out in. Vic was fantastic...she understood our requirements, guided us through any trade-offs and come up with brilliantly creative but practical ideas. I had not used a designer before but Vic ensured the experience was never intimidating; it felt like a genuine collaboration. I wanted something I loved but would not have chosen alone and feel that's exactly what we ended up with. We loved it so much we asked Bic to work on the designs for the adjoining patio as well! We made the most of Drawn's buying service too saving us time, money and the stress of tackling stock shortages. Thank you Vic and hope to work with you again soon!

Victoria is really kind and patient throughout the process. She really helped us to focus our design approach when we were stumped on what direction to take things. She also presented us with options across different price ranges so that we could mix high and low end pieces together in a way that worked with our budget.

Towards the end of our house renovation, my wife and I signed Victoria to redesign our living and dining rooms. The works had given us a fair amount of additional space to play with, and we felt like we really needed some professional perspective to make the most out of it. Victoria captured skilfully our style and priorities, and she displayed flexibility and resourcefulness to iterate effectively when we pushed back on certain aspects of the original design. Importantly, she also challenged us on some of our hesitations, convincing us to trust her vision when it was needed. And I'm glad we did - as we are very pleased with the outcome, both in terms of utility and aesthetics. I am confident that working with Victoria improved the overall return we got on our renovation project, and I would have no reservations to recommend her to other homeowners.
