Donald has comoleted no less than 10 projects for me including fireplace surrounds, wainscoting, home office, bookshelf built ins and much more. His work is excellent and he knows how to work around the wonky walls of history homes; to make his work add beautiful character and value to the home. He’s a samurai of a craftsman and a wonderful guy.

Shortly after moving to Denver, Don Pitcher was recommended to me as an excellent cabinetmaker through a trustworthy chain of people knowledgeable in this area. Don discussed what we wanted (an 18'-long, 91"-high bookcase), suggested options, described how he would construct it, told us the costs of these options, brought us wood and stain samples as the project started, and finished the job when he said he would. The bookcase was built of maple plywood and cherry . It's exactly what we wanted, and it is a beautiful job, Don is highly skilled and meticulous, and he does superb work--we could not be more pleased. Don also constructed a crown molding of matching cherry for this large room. He was a pleasure to work with. I hope we will have the opportunity to enlist his talent again as we continue a remodel.

I would not hesitate to recommend this company! Donald Pitcher built a custom stained built in bookcase for a large wall in my living room. He was able to match the stain to the existing stain on my window casings and it ties together perfectly. It was great to work with someone so meticulous, honest, and reliable.

Donald Pitcher, the owner of Island Millwork, did an outstanding job for me in Nantucket! I needed a custom bunk room built with ship style ladders and lots of lighting and millwork details that were safe for children. I sent over a concept sketch and he produced shop drawings in a matter of days! His work is stellar, on time and on budget. He also created a custom wine room for the same client, also beautiful. He is a find, I highly recommend him!
