Thea and Anne took our rough ideas and turned them into a finished design. They really listened to us and helped us get what we wanted but also coached us and helped us understand what our house could really be by following their guidance. Our whole house remodel turned out to be much more functional and beautiful than what we had originally expected. In addition to offering excellent design advice, they connected us with first-rate but reasonably priced sub-contractors from electricians to cabinet makers. The money we spent for Anne and Thea's advice and design work was a really good investment in our home. We had lots of ideas about how we wanted to remodel our house that we had lived in for 26 years. The thing that I really appreciated about the crew at Domistyle is that they took our good ideas and made them better and they took some of our crazy ideas, kept the core of what we were trying to do and gave us a finished product that we love.

Thea and Jan are great to work with, they made the designing of my historic South Hill home's bathroom a joy to perceive and I'm delighted with the results. They were very supportive and imaginative throughout the process.

We are new to Bellingham and had never used a designer in previous remodels. But because of the scope of this project we hired Domistyle. Thea took the lead on our remodel which included a new kitchen/family room, and work in the master bathroom, laundry room, along with new wood trim, floors and paint colors throughout the house. Thea was easy to work with; she brought an upbeat attitude and energy to the project and recommended an outstanding contractor. In the parts of the project where we had a strong vision of what we wanted, Thea both listened to our ideas and guided us with her expertise. She had a great idea on how to enlarge our master shower without having to move the water wall and she brought ideas to the kitchen that really added to its function. The kitchen/family room is gorgeous and we couldn’t be happier with how our home turned out! Friends and family love to gather here and they comment on both the aesthetic and livability of our "new" home.

The Domistyle Ladies are steeped in the knowledge of structural plans, contractors, suppliers, fixtures, materials, appliance resources, finishing style and most other subjects one needs to build or remodel a kitchen. We were constantly encouraged with their ideas for layout and design, access to resources and responding with changes that made large improvements to the project. Their work pattern was fitted into the client's schedules, personal plans, design ideas, kitchen work preferences, and funding. They were extremely responsive to our perspective of where the kitchen connected into our lifestyle resulting in room design modifications and appliance revisions. We could not be more delighted with the results. The most important accomplishment is the kitchen activities are now a new and positive source of pleasure and benefit to ourselves, family and friends.

Their work was brilliant! Thea and Jan designed a major remodel of my kitchen in which the spatial configuration was changed significantly to better utilize the available space. I followed their recommendations for flooring, countertop, sink, cabinets, etc and am extremely happy with my choice of Domicile as design consultants.

Thea and Jan were an incredible resource when I was remodeling my kitchen and first floor. They have great insight on materials and layout and worked wonderfully with my own ideas and concerns. They pointed out the pros and cons for each issue. They gave me a great solution for my corner cabinet and helped pick out paint colors for my first floor. In addition to all this, Thea and Jan were willing to mentor my daughter, a student interior designer, and provide a mini internship for her during my project. I am happy I chose Domistyle because our working relationship was great and most importantly, I love my new kitchen!

Jan and Thea are creative, intelligent, experienced and delightful to work with. We hired them to do a large remodel project and found the process of working with them very enjoyable. We have also attended several classes that they've taught and found them highly informative. We hired Jan and Thea from Domistyle to help us design a new kitchen. We were using the same footprint but they convinced us to move the kitchen from one end of the space to the other. This worked out perfectly, and the room could then accommodate a twenty foot long island that houses one double sink, the oven and microwave. Guests can perch and visit on one side and stay out of the cook's way. The design is elegant and modern. I would never consider a major remodel like this without using a designer. Domistyle came up with several plans for the space, encouraged and invited input from us and were easy to work with. We also hired them to design an added on master bathroom but have yet to start that project.

This was our second home where we acted as general for the building process. We had come to a decision on the house plans but wanted guidance in working through the myriad of other details. I felt that Domistyle's goal was to understand our style and what we wanted our home to reflect. There were so many options to consider when building our home but I quickly came to trust their expertise; from designing a lighting or kitchen plan to guidance on the finishing details such as wall colors, tile and stone. I truly appreciated their availability to me throughout the process. When I wasn't sure or didn't know which choice would fit with what I was trying to achieve I knew I could quickly contact them via email or phone to help. I would definitely involve them in any future home building projects.

Aside from their fabulous skills of interior design, these two women know how to work with husbands and wives. Not a skill to be underestimated when working a complete remodel with spousal clients of very different minds! As a first time remodeler, Domistyle assisted with all facets of an extensive kitchen remodel as well as other suggestions for the house. In the end, I'd wished I'd hired them not only for their design skills, but as the contractor as well. They were spot on with their recommendations and issues involving the trades. When it came to making choices regarding appliances, windows, flooring, etc,, their product knowledge was extensive and budget/need appropriate. When all was said and done, I was delighted with the project, and my husband? Well, let's just say Domistyle and I have happily been entrusted with any future projects.

I hired Jan and Thea to help me design a workable kitchen to replace an outdated 1978 tract home kitchen. What I got was a place where I can have friends over to cook, and enjoy each others company. Thea picked up on my love of all things oriental, and from that came a color pallet based on the celedon green used in Chinese porcelain that I will never become bored with. Both Jan and Thea are extremely professional, and listen to what you say, so they can bring a design to you that will be exactly what you wanted even if you didn't know what you wanted in the beginning! My kitchen actually won a design award in Seattle! The best thing is that I enjoy working in my kitchen if I'm cooking for just myself or for a group of friends. They are just the best!

When we updated our house in 2010, we hired Domistyle Design. The majority of the house updating was to totally remodel the kitchen and master bathroom. They provided us with a design concept and worked with us through picking the colors for the walls. Jan and Thea were professional and very easy to work with. We love the changes we made to our house and would highly recommend the team of Domistyle Design for any project.

We were extremely pleased with the work that was done by Domistyle. Our home remodel turned out beautiful. We love all the materials that were suggested by Domistyle. They worked with us to find just the right style for us, and all within our budget. They did an excellent job in our kitchen, designing it to maximize storage in a small kitchen. Hired Jan and Thea for the design of a complete interior remodel of a home built in the 1980's and decorated like the late 1970's. The house had some interesting features, including cedar finish tongue and groove ceilings, that somehow had to merge with other wood finishes. They created a stupendous new floor plan around the existing bearing walls, which allowed the addition of a bedroom and overall increase of usable floor space. Should I have need of design services again, I will be calling them first.

I am into my 4th year with a remodeling project managed by Domistyle. The kitchen in particular was a work of both art and practicality. It was, in the vernacular and reality, a prize winner. While it made great copy for Domistyle's brag book, it is without a doubt the greatest kitchen I have ever had the pleasure of working within. We, my wife and I, team cook meals and entertainment functions - I couldn't ask for a better facility for those endeavors. I will be building one more home in this lifetime - Domistyle will be given free rein in the development of the kitchen. We spent more than a year going through the design phase with Jan and Thea. They had very creative ideas about how to make our space more livable. They paid attention to what we wanted in terms of style, color, and functionality. The result was superb. We love the remodeled part of our house. The colors are warm and inviting, we have more light (natural and otherwise), and it is all very pleasing to the eye. We have the "wow" factor now! Domistyle is the best of the best!!!
