I now know the company is working to complete my order. I would not recommend using them unless you’re prepared to wait.

Kestrel exceeded our expectations in regard to quality of product and knowledgeable customer service. We used them for shutters on our 1939 home and could not have been more pleased. We used their DIY option and Jim at Kestrel was so patient and helpful with all our questions and it was clear he knew his stuff. We have had many neighbors ask us where we purchased them, as well as stop and take photos. We could not be more pleased with Kestrel! Highly recommend.

I was impressed with the level of service as well as the quality of the product from Kestrel Shutters and Doors. I made shutters for our home and was in need of functional hinges. Looking on line I found a variety of options and prices. In speaking with Kestrel, they not only offered a great price but also helped me understand what product was best for my installation. I worked with Jim at Kestrel and he was extremely helpful. He even followed up with me to ensure the installation went smoothly. I would recommend Kestrel and would use again.

Kestrel Shutters delivered a beautiful product on time and within our budget. Their sales staff was very knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with and provided great support when needed.

Internet scam??? Took order and charged credit card with an estimated delivery date of Aug 15th. Have tried repeatedly for a week to contact the company for an order status. No one ever answers the phone-goes directly to voice mail. Have left several messages with so-called "order status" line, sales line, and emails. Still no response. Think twice before providing credit card. YP states Pottstown, PA location-Kestrel order states Stowe, PA location???? UPDATE: In second week was able to contact Kestals. Very small company with one individual working phones. Short story-our product was delayed beyond estimated delivery date BUT the product we received was superior! Expect a delay-but expect to be happy with your product. Purchased bohemian blinds made with African Mahogony.

Been waiting more than 6 months for one door. First it was a missing machine part, next it was "the finisher is behind schedule," now they have just stopped responding.

I ordered 2 bathroom closet doors from them on July 23, 2015. I signed and returned to them the sales agreement on July 30, 2015. The sales agreement had an estimated ship date for the week of October 12, 2015. After repeated phone calls and emails I finally received an email on October 29, 2015 from Jim Lapic telling me of an email from the day before. It stated "Your doors will be built next week so that the finishing company can pick them up the following week. We will be speaking with the head finisher on Friday and will then be able to get you a date for your doors being finished." I emailed them on 11/17/2015 and 11/24/2015 asking for a status update. I have not received a response. If I were to rate this company right now I would probably not give it a good rating because of what I consider poor customer service.

I believe that this company might be an internet scam. Almost four months ago I gave them a 1/2 down payment to manufacture doors for me. They are now one month late delivering them and are not responding at all to my requests for information. Since writing the above review, I have received my doors. So, Kestrel is NOT an internet scam. The good news is that the doors are absolutely beautiful, perfectly engineered, and of the highest quality. The parts are solid and to spec. They exceeded my expectations by a long shot. The bad news is that my 3 month work order took 5 months to fill and, until the sales manager contacted me directly (because I became a publicly disgruntled customer by posting the first two sentences of this review), communications with the company were incomplete, terse, and unsatisfactory. I felt that I was being treated like an idiot until Jim, the sales manager, took over communications with me. The delays required that I reschedule my construction work three times. If you can find someone in the company to keep you up-to-date, answer your questions clearly, and treat you professionally, the quality of the work makes dealing with the scheduling problems worth it.
