WARNING!! BUYER BEWARE!! HIRING DIAMOND BUILT WAS THE WORST MISTAKE WE EVER MADE!! We hired Kurt Dys of Diamond Built to build our new home in the summer of 2020. We FIRED him for BREACH OF CONTRACT on February 10, 2022. After 16 months of him treating us in the most disrespectful manner, consistently overcharging us thousands of dollars above the contracted price for multiple items, taking money from us through our bank for work performed by multiple subcontractors and not paying the subcontrators, purposefully stalling the build for months at a time, being the direct cause of cabinets taking 9 months to arrive because he fired the first cabinet company for exposing him with double charging us for cabinets that were already included in the plans, consistently not communicating information about our home, and taking it upon himself to make decisions without consulting us or changing decisions we made unbeknownst to us regarding the building supplies, designs, and colors of finishes. Do your due diligence by researching everything you can about him on the internet before deciding to hire him or his company. For instance, notice all of his other reviews posted before this one. Only one is of a recent build and when they posted he hadn't even completed their home. His superintendents told us that this family along with many others were ultimately dissatisfied with Kurt/Diamond Built. He started this company approximately 4 years ago and NOT even one of his homeowners that he’s built a home for during this time has posted a positive review about him on his company facebook page or on Google reviews. We’ve already assisted one of his potential victims to avoid this nightmare by giving her details about our experience when she called us for a reference after she found our names on his facebook page. My employer hired Diamond Built to develop property for 3 adjacent buildings in New Port Richey. Building 1 was completed in March 2006, Building 2 in approximately 2007 and Building 3 in 2008. Kurt and his crew were working with 4 attorneys on this project. Not an easy task. The construction is very sound and besides a few hurdles thanks to the county, all went very well. The buildings are very sound and we have had no issues in the nearly 14 years since we move in with the exception of the normal wear and tear, such as the AC - but this is Florida and we all know that happens. Based on my experience and interaction with Kurt and his crew from Diamond Built as the office administrator for the firm, I strongly recommend Diamond Built and Kurt Dys. His quality of work is impeccable as is his professionalism.

As a team member who works at one of the locations Diamond Built designed and built I always appreciate the functionality of our office. Every time I bring a guest into our office, they admire how beautiful our building is. The structure and details are absolutely stunning for a professional building. I immediately share how functional our office is as over just the beauty. I love how Diamond Built considered daily operations within their design of large hallways, extended work spaces, beautiful conference rooms, and plenty of hidden closets and storage spaces.

We contracted with Kurt Dyes President of Diamond Built to help design and build our Dream Home. Working with Kurt for almost a year has been a very positive experience. He has been very easy to work with, he is creative with his ideas as well as accommodating two very different styles that my wife and I presented him with. He did it! He has been able to also work with the city to get our permits approved and moved the process. Kurt has also been conscious of our budget providing alternatives to manage our cost. We broke ground just before Christmas and so far we are making good progress. We are willing to give Kurt our most positive recommendations.

Diamond Built has their customers and community in mind every day! They support local schools, vendors, and non profits. I am day dreaming up my dream home for them to build! They are true to their word and build quality homes with the homeowners always first.

Diamond Built completed two really nice golf course homes for us in the west-central Florida area. Both homes were completed on time and within our budget. Many of the materials used in the homes were upgraded during construction at little or no additional cost to us. Very good quality construction. Perhaps best of all was their flexibility to make changes along the way. Would hire them again in the future without hesitation.

We feel the overall quality and craftsmanship is great work. It exceeded our expectations in many ways. We have received nothing but excellent comments from friends and family. Throughout the building process it was nice working with Kurt and his crew. They addressed our concerns and he is a very knowledgeable builder. Kurt welcomed our ideas and eagerness to be more involved with the building process. He was always very patient with us and was more than willing to meet with us anytime. We felt he went above what we would expect from a builder.

I have worked with Kurt in the past on various projects and found that he is a very honest builder with high moral integrity and a nice person to work with. The projects we worked on were completed on time and within the structured budget. The process and finished product were completed to high standards and the clients were very happy with the work.
