プロフィール

I started David Henig, Architect as a client-based design firm located in the San Francisco Bay. I thoroughly enjoy collaborating with clients to generate designs that exceed their expectations. I also enjoy taking the time to listen and truly understand the needs of my clients. After 24 years in the industry, I am proud to count my clients as some of my best friends. I studied Architecture because I enjoy that every project provides a different design challenge. The solution for one project is not going to be the solution for the next. Finding the right balance of scope, budget and schedule along with each client’s desires makes the process rich and fulfilling for everyone involved. Each project is an opportunity for me to become a better designer. My completed projects can be found in Portola Valley, Woodside, Atherton, and Menlo Park. I am licensed in Washington, Nevada, California and Florida and have helped clients in many different areas of the country. I currently reside mid-peninsula with my family. I enjoy cooking and spending time in the heart of the home: the kitchen!

David and I recently worked together on a large remodel. I found him to be an excellent collaborator and an effective communicator that understands how to bring the client's vision to life. I highly recommend David and hope to have the opportunity work with him again in the future!

David is a wonderful person and a great architect. We hired him to help us scope our our house, identify the specific items we wanted to improve upon, and prepare drawings to address the needs and stay within our budget. With David's easy demeanor and great skill, the whole process was easy and actually enjoyable. I highly recommend David.

David is an awesome client to work with. I can see the homeowners has a great relationship with him when we did our initial walk through for different projects. When we did our photoshoot, he gave me input on the angles and yet allow me to do what I want to do so the results were great. I can't wait to too what other projects he has for me!!!! Highly recommend him to be your architect!!!

David handled our whole house remodel and we are thrilled with the results. He was easy to work with from beginning to end and has a great sense of humor to boot. He managed to reorganize our house so that we could add the rooms we needed without allowing the house to spread out across our whole lot. He listened to our goals and concerns and came up with interesting and creative solutions to the problems we had with our house before the remodel. He got a sense of our style and how we wanted to use our space and really designed to fit our needs. He was super responsive to our questions throughout the process and helped us see it through completion. He gets my highest recommendation!

Architect and design on a remodel of our kitchen, great room, bathrooms, entry. Design an overall master plan for possible future work & remodels. Our experience was wonderful. David was very creative and attentive to our style and vision. His service was above and beyond, especially during the building process.

David was our architecture for a total rebuild of our house. He was fantastic from end-to-end on the project. He listened super well to understand our needs, and then he designed a home based on our needs, not on any predetermined vision he had. He also is a very clever problem solver, so when we ran up against something challenging or unexpected, he'd typically come up with a couple of different solutions and the pro's/con's of each for us to review. He also worked beautifully with our contractor--our contractor call him the best and easiest to work with architect that he'd ever encountered--so we felt like we had a collaborative team working on our behalf. Bottom line is that he's a very smart, nice guy with excellent interpersonal skills who doesn't have the ego that many architects seem to have. We literally had no problems--minor or otherwise--with David on this project. I've recommended David to others, and those folks had similar experiences as ours.
