Amazing experience! From the quoting process, which was excellent, having a professional sit down and talk us through the quote and building contract page by page built a lot of trust and confidence right from the start and leading into the build this quality service was maintained. Dave and his team have been responsive, professional and helpful, no question was a silly question, and the years of experience show, there were many times where Dave's advice helped us come to an even better than expected outcome. Another thing to note, we had been given clear timings of the build, and even with a 2 week construction lockdown delay due to Covid-19, they kept well and truly in our original timeframe stated in our contract. The workmanship and also the respect they had for our property was excellent, taking care of our old weatherboard house like it was their own, always clean, neat and tidy, even when dealing with mud pit of a backyard. We are so thankful for the Dave and the team for taking care of our build so we could just sit back and watch all the magic happen. Thanks guys!

Destin Construction are excellent builders that provided an exceptional service and quality renovation. We spoke with David about renovating our bathroom to our new home after it was discovered it had extensive water damage from a previous builder, this translated to a completed renovation within two weeks. Destin Construction were professional, respectful and passionate about their craft. The communication with David was clear and precise and he was able to answer all of our many questions and offered quality advice. This was our first renovation experience and we couldn't be happier with the service. My mother hired Destin Constructions to design and do an extensive renovation of her inner city warehouse. Despite becoming terminally ill she decided to go ahead with the project. Destin Constructions were extremely considerate and helpful; liaising with mum's sister and myself when mum was unavailable, coming to my home for meetings & updates with mum & myself when mum became too ill. Their knowledge and experience were invaluable to us. Their work was professional: the house is beautiful and well constructed. They did an excellent job in all aspects. Our home renovation plan was to update the front facade of our Templestowe home. Having spent almost 10 months in 2015 developing and having the building plans approved initially by Local Council, and then a Bulding Permit organisation, we commenced our search for a reputable, experienced and trustworthy builder. In late 2015 and early 2016. My wife and myself identified and interviewed many builders from the local papers, from the web, as well as those recommended to us by family and friends. Our focus was on the price of the construction, of course, but we were looking for the whole package, so to say (ie: price, experience, reliability, reputation, risk, demonstration of previous work, construction schedule, continuity of construction work, and the interest the builder showed in taking on our project. Destin Constructions were not only a local builder (in our case), but also met all our requirements stated above. Just prior to signing of the construction contract, we encountered a bit of constraints with our budget to complete the construction in accordance with the approved architectual drawings/plans. This was not a problem for Destin Constructions; they sat down with us and assisted in prioritising and deciding which parts of the construction were vital and we staged the renovation work so that we could end up with the most effective outcome for our project. We found it very easy to communicate with David (Destin Constructions, Director) as well as his Tradie team led by his very able foreman (Terry). The team turned up promptly each day, verified almost every aspect of the building plan with us almost weekly to ensure that we were happy with every step of the construction. Destin Constructions not only provided and managed the construction part of the project, but they also provided and managed the plumbing, the electrical, the rendering, the interior plaster work, the concreting, and the exterior painting side of our renovation project. We are very pleased with the quality and timeliness of completion of stage 1 of our project and in all possibility we will engage Destin Constructions for the remaining stages. We engaged Destin in 2014 to complete a residential renovation of our late 1940’s brick home. As a growing family of 4 we required more living space and the whole house needed updating. We loved our location so moving was not an option. We had plans devised by a draftsperson which we then took to Destin for the construction phase of the project. Whilst we were happy with the original plans they still required some adjustments. From the outset David and the team were very easy to talk to and we were able to work collaboratively to fine tune the plans with some great ideas from the builder. This included keeping the original footprint of the home on the ground level by reconfiguring the living area and kitchen placement so as not to increase costs with unnecessary excavation. This also allowed us to keep our existing garden. An upper story was also added. In the end the house was taken right back to the original framework and we ended up with a completely rebuilt house using the bare bones of what we had and added the upper story which was sympathetic to the streetscape and the area. The whole project ran very smoothly and on schedule. The tradesmen were professional to deal with and were always ready to assist with any queries we may have had. The work site throughout the construction phase was left in a secure and tidy manner week in week out. On the whole Destin were great to work with and we were very happy with the quality of the build and the professionalism of the team.

Destin Constructions were engaged for the unenviable task of entirely restructuring/rebuilding our house around us while we remained living there (finances did not permit us to move out during the works). This was a big project taking over a year and we got to know David and his team extremely well throughout the process. Everyone was very helpful and the final result is excellent (see enclosed photo). In addition, as we did not engage an architect, David was extremely helpful with suggestions as to how things could be improved - the expansive rear deck with Bondor roof is a transformed space compared to the original and our particular favourite.

Engaged Destin constructions on 3 separate occasions over last 10 years to complete renovations on kitchen, adding lounge room and interior/exterior finish within our home. All workmanship was done to spec and of a high standard. The tradesmen were professional and arrived on time and the project came in on budget with minimal disruption to our private lives.
