Collaborating with Natalie Parke on the Livingston Street house was the beginning of an ongoing professional partnership which we treasure as a studio. Her level-headed nature allows her to work collaboratively with us while interrogating our ideas to achieve better outcomes. Natalie’s astute understanding of materials enriches and defines the projects we work on together. The rigour and control Natalie employs when dealing with subtle changes in texture coupled with a spirited use of colour and pattern allows Dessein Parke to approach design with an articulate bravery. As an incessant researcher, who responds to the unknown with curiosity and excitement: Natalie discovers obscure and delightful furniture, materials and products. This tendency for exploration results in clever ways to affordably, beautifully and simply realise projects.
