I’ve had the pleasure to work with Kathy as my design consultant on two properties. She worked with me on my home renovation and my lake property build. She is very particular in listening to what customers want, then bringing forward ideas and options that create the exact finish desired! She is knowledgeable, professional and comes with a wealth of experience that installs the utmost confidence in making design decisions. I would not have the beautiful spaces I do without her expertise!

More like nightmare builder. Uses sub par trades and charges like a premium builder. On our 3rd boiler, had multiple floods in the utility room that ran out to the other rooms because the floor drain was the highest point in the room. Several cracked limestone tiles that had to be replaced. Spent two years scrubbing and cleaning off grout on outside stonework that was left by another incompetent tradesperson. Was charged close to a hundred thousand over the contract price..always blamed on the trades but in fact all the allowances were way too low for the prices at the time. He then put twenty percent on top for his cut. Many of the prices we were charged for taps and fixtures were above full retail. When we asked for invoices the prices were blacked out. If there was nothing to hide why would you do that?House project was 3months over and we had to move out of our house. A professional builder would know what the costs for the trades would be. In summary stay away, or run like hell and find a other builder.

My company, Karlen-Elecom Ltd. (www.elecom.ca), has a home building division, but when it came to finding a high-end dream home for ourselves, we chose Design Innovations. Sean has a unique ability to design and lay out a house that in my opinion is one of the best. I have been in a lot of expensive homes that cost significantly more but do not come close to the quality of finishing and overall layout of these homes. We showed our house for about 6 months upon the completion and the comments of those that saw it showed that they were blown away by the build quality and design. I absolutely recommend Design Innovations. We would never consider building a high end home costing $1M + at Karlen Elecom without Sean being the designer.

Jade Landscape & Design has had the good fortune to work with Design Innovations on several of their homes. While landscaping is often an afterthought to most builders as it does not fall within their purview, I can say that the owner Sean Burry always takes the time to ensure that the landscape will be fitting with the home he has built. He has excellent input in this regard and often provides design concepts for the yard. Furthermore he ensures timely and seamless coordination on our end to ensure that we have the services in place at the time we need them. Lastly, having dealt regularly with new home owners, I hear all about their building experiences. Good and Bad. I can say that universally, Sean's clients have been wholly satisfied with the process and are eager to recommend him.

Working with Design Innovations Inc. during the building of our home was fantastic. They truly have first class service and the final product is outstanding.
