I hired Megan and her crew at the Designdot to help me create an antique farmhouse style family room. As this was going to be one of the most used rooms in our home, I needed it to be right, and I was on a strict budget. Designdot was outstanding, and I am so pleased with the end result. We started from scratch, repainted the walls, chose all new furniture and fabrics, and it is now my favorite room in the house. Best of all, these ladies helped me define my own style. I had some ideas, but needed lots of guidance. They were terrific. I chose their 3 hour package, and they gave me the most incredible choices in all price ranges. From that I was able to splurge where I wanted to, and cut corners in other areas. I still cannot believe how fabulous the room looks on such a tight budget. Bravo! I have one last light fixture to purchase, and then I will have them back to my home for the grand finale, when we put on the finishing touches. I could not be more pleased. I recommend them fully and without hesitation.

I kept putting off redecorating my living room and dining room for a few years because I was at a loss regarding how to find the right decorator. I needed fresh ideas and guidance to give me confidence to make final decisions. When I saw Megan’s Style Diary offering, I thought it was the perfect way to start my project and give DesignDot a try. I was so impressed from the moment Megan arrived at my home. She is a lovely person and so knowledgeable about home design and she also keeps your budget in mind. She makes the process fun and is respectful of the items in your home that have meaning to you working to include them in your new rooms in interesting ways. This initial Style Diary session was a whirlwind of helpful activity and I was motivated to move forward. It was so useful to have the Pinerest board and 3D diagram of my rooms that Megan and Savannah created just for my project during this first visit. I used them repeatedly as I shopped for fabrics and other items. When I felt I was ready, I set up Megan’s Style Diary follow-up visit to review the choices I had made. This visit was as fruitful as the first and several final decisions were made! I look forward to working with Megan in this consulting role as I finish this project and move on to my next. She is a wonder!

We inherited a beautiful, mahogany grand piano. When it arrived, we had no idea how to reposition our furniture around it. We tried several scenarios over a four week period. Just as I was ready to give up and list several pieces on Craigslist, Megan swooped in. She spent some time working her magic on her iPad and shoving heavy couches around. Forty minutes later...VOILA! The room was transformed (with all of the original pieces) and we couldn't be happier. She made a room with a 6' piano seem airy!

The renovation required different types of solutions: 1) Update all the Existing Rooms- for this effort our goal was to try and use as many of our existing pieces but also add and redesign for a fabulous and modern overall feel. Megan's selected additions for all our spaces were perfection. And her removal of some of our existing items/pieces was spot on- and were never wasteful. She delivered the best of our old, existing pieces and paired it with new updated pieces for a wonderful modern finish and feel. Megan took the ordinary and made it extraordinary.... 2) Interior and Exterior Paint Design- this dovetailed with the overall room and home update. Megan's color choices and vision was simple perfection and added a depth to the renovation that was incredible. 3) Master Bath Full Renovation- This was our only true full overhaul-from gutting to total renovation. Megan created a truly "designer" modern bath en suite for us at a surprisingly modest price. From the materials she selected, to the spacial design and flow, the results are extraordinary. We highly recommend Megan for your residential or commercial design needs. She is thoughtful, considerate, and always professional. She listens and delivers on the ask.
