Design Build Workshop

I have engaged Scott and his team on a couple of projects in which he has always completed efficiently and with the highest quality and the recent project was of no exception. Some intangibles you get with Scott is that he’s concerned not only with doing things the right way but that it also looks great in the end; he doesn’t cheap out or cut corners. You can tell he’s invested in the project and cares about the finished product. He’s easily contactable before, during, and after the renovation and has shown up on the site several times during construction. Other contractors that I have hired have all but disappeared as it was impossible to track them down when things came up, and something always comes up, so this is a big problem that you don’t get with Scott. The crew were respectful, professional, kept the workspace tidy and cleaned up before they left. Everyone worked well with the building which is not straightforward because the building is landmarked and a co-op which Scott is well accustomed to dealing with; he had no problems dealing with the board, the super, and the DoB. The build had some complications which were resolved without issue and everything came out better than I could have imagined. I easily recommend hiring Scott for any project and I wouldn’t hesitate in using him again if the need ever arises.

I can't say enough about the positive working experience and amazing outcome from my collaboration with Design Build Workshop. Scott Rothman was very hands on. He answered all my questions and elevated the design aesthetic I had originally envisioned for the space. He stayed within budget and the work looks like I paid 3 times what I spent. I have known Scott for several years because I was his dentist and I tapped him to build and design our new dental office on central park south. They completed the job in less than 3 months and it looks amazing. They were so professional and myself, my coworkers and my patients love our new space. We moved from 61st street and 5th avenue and we had a beautiful office, so the pressure was on to upstage our old office and they went way above that mark. I have worked with a lot of architects, designers, builders, and contractors over many years and many projects. Scott and his team are by far the most professional, hardest working group I have ever worked with. If you are looking for a quality that you thought was outside your budget you will be pleasantly surprised. He gutted an apartment in a land marked building and created an apartment that fits perfectly in the space. The quality is stunning, and everyone who has seen the details, are impressed by the care and thought as well as the workmanship. We wanted a non toxic and eco friendly apartment and Scott worked closely with us to make sure that all of our products, and paints were appropriate. We highly recommend him.
