I have a residential design/build firm and have been in business since 1980, and we also do interiors and landscaping. My design philosophy is: quality trumps quantity; bigger is not better; design for your lifestyle; if you can't afford what you want upfront, renovate in stages; if you're building new, but can't afford what you want upfront, design so you can build in stages (this can be done); don't be afraid to dream big; choose an architect or designer who is on the same page, and with whom you feel comfortable; in the design phase, remember to plan on furniture inhabiting the space (lots of folks don't and are sorry later); homes should not overpower the lot; kitchens are for gathering, don't cram an island into the space without appropriate clearance for movement; include an adjacent room for caterers and clutter storage if you entertain; create numerous IDEABOOKS; but most of all, enjoy the process - being involved and watching a renovation come together is the most pleasurable thing I do!

Pamela Foster is knowledgeable, reliable, dependable, and fun to work with. She has good design ideas of her own but is also willing to work with the client's ideas to produce the result they want. Her connections within the Atlanta building/remodeling are an advantage to her clients. We are very pleased with our new master bathroom and would recommend her highly.

Pamela Foster delivers. She provided us with an excellent design to remodel our kitchen and bar areas (down to the studs) and replace existing French doors with a large picture window in our den. She took our ideas and ran with them, making our kitchen, eating and bar areas more efficient ... and gorgeous! Her 39 years of experience shined through and her attention to detail was incredible. We could not be happier with the end results. She was easy to work with, always punctual and kept us informed of every step along the way. Contracting a designer/contractor for a major home renovation is certainly not to be taken lightly. We had narrowed our list down to three considerations for the design and work we wanted to achieve. Pam Foster designed and renovated our kitchen and family room. She and her team did such a good job that we hired them to renovate several other rooms in our house. I selected Pam because she is both the designer and general contractor. Her attention to detail through the entire process was extraordinary. Her design maximized the use of our space and the quality of work was exactly what we were expecting. Her team was polite and considerate to us at all times. The work space was cleaned and organized at the end of each work day to avoid as much disruption for us as possible. Most importantly, having Pam’s experience and design perspective engaged throughout the project made such a difference. There is more to do at our house and Pam and her team are the only ones we will use. I feel fortunate that she was referred to me by a close friend.

Pam Foster provided exceptional advice and services for renovating my home office. Her knowledge and professionalism were evident with attention to detail and functionality. She obviously has a great deal of experience in the construction arena and during the consultation could explain her ideas and suggestions in language that an inexperienced person such as myself could understand. During the construction she responded quickly to concerns and was frequently on site. The project was completed ahead of plan and slightly over the project cost. I would definitely recommend Pam Foster to my friends and neighbors.

Pam was a very attentive designer. I do not live in the same city as she does and she worked tirelessly with me over email, over the phone and through the post office to give me the information I needed. Pam sent me three possible options for my living room with swatches and sketches...making it easy for me to determine the right feel for my space. I have small children so she picked items that can go through wear and tear. My favorite items are the beautiful curtains she helped me choose--they make me happy every day. She even helped me work around a painting in the space that I love. She was attentive, timely and professional. Will upload photos soon

My husband and I hired Pamela Foster to help us create a master plan for our ranch home renovation project. Pam was on time and available with good ideas on how to use our space to the best advantage and was able to design a plan with a good use of space in our ranch-style home. We appreciated her professional expertise in creating a plan which would enable us to connect our home more with the outdoors and open up the insides for a more modern feel. In addition, she was able to find us more space for entertaining our large family in a small space. We really liked the way Pam included small details in our plan. For example, she created a better layout for the laundry room so we can get more storage our of our space. She included details for the family room and kitchen like room for the crown molding, sizes of windows and new French doors, and also thought through keeping the work triangle effective while improving counter space and cabinet organization. She made changes to the plan with careful collaboration in person and with a nice online 3-D model. We look forward to the upcoming renovation as it will help us to maximize our space and give our house a fresh update. Will post pictures when our project is completed.

Pam Foster was what everyone dreams their contractor will be; creative, fair, punctual and above all, honest. Her ideas are spot on and made our project special. Any problems that did occur, she was always on top of things with a quick solution. It was a pleasure working with her on this job and we are already planning our next project.

From the moment Pamela Foster stepped into my home, I felt at ease with her. She has an engaging style and a wonderful eye for design. Pamela let's you know that she is there to help you realize your vision. For me that was solidifying the direction I wanted to take in redoing some items in the main living area and Pam was very helpful and patient so that I could put together in my own mind how I wanted the space to feel. She was always professional and creative in guiding me. I think Pam is one of those professionals who can do anything. She loves her work and it shows in the detail of care and quality she brings to the table. She is trustworthy. In my book, Pamela is a rare gem.
