We have been working closely with Dell on two separate projects and have been very impressed with their commitment and service. We look forward to developing many more positive collaborations in the future.

I am happy to recommend Dell Developments. They completed a single story extension to my living room. As I live in a mid terrace and the extension was at the rear, they had to contend with difficult access down a narrow path. All the workforce were considerate and careful on site and also showed courtesy to the neighbours. The essential deadlines were met and they stuck to the agreed budget. They worked well with the architect too. The decorator was patient while I made up my mind about colours. A couple of extra visits were made just to paint one small wall. I am delighted with the standard of work.

Our project was to extend the rear of our kitchen, with a link to our lounge to provide an open-plan dining area. We also build above the flat roofed kitchen to create a new master bedroom, with a balcony and two new en-suite shower rooms. The detached garage was also substantially refurbished and the house exterior remodelled. Through our architect, we found DELL, whose quote was competitive with others. Our working relationship was positive throughout, with clear agreement on who was providing what and at what times rooms needed to be cleared for the work. All the crafts people used by DELL were very skilful with good attention to detail. They all worked well with us and with each other with a friendly atmosphere at all times. Inevitably, with an extension of an existing building, there were unexpected problems (e.g. the piled foundations needed to be redesigned on the run and the cavity walls and insulation needed to be modified). These complications were handled professionally, calmly, with the full support of building control. The additional costs were also modest, considering the aggravation caused. Sean, the director who oversaw the project, was very attentive, visiting us nearly every day through the main part of the build. The project did take longer than planned, but this was mainly caused by the complications mentioned and bad weather towards the end of the build. Despite this, DELL worked as hard as they could to get the interior of the house useable close to the original deadline. I would, without hesitation, recommend DELL Developments to others.

Two storey extension; including extension of all services. We had a well structured cost proposal from Dell. The work was delivered to the agreed costs at all stages. Unanticipated changes were dealt with professionally and well explained. Dell liaised well with the building regulations inspector and the work was signed off without problems. We have been very pleased with the result. We would happily use Dell again.

This project involved the building of two contemporary high specification houses with a square area totalling more than 400 meters. The project commenced in January 2015 and concluded early 2016. The main positive features of Dell Developments include high quality finishes, attention to detail, interpretation of complex designs, flexibility to deal with customer, NHBC and Building Control requirements, snag resolution (remarkably few of these) communication and integrity. The reason for a four star rather than five is the project overrun. This was a large project for Dell at the time, they initially under resourced the project which meant that the wet winter of 2015 exacerbated the overrun. The only other feedback would be to get professional cleaners to finish the houses before handover.
