Beware: Absolutely horrible experience which, due to the owner’s hubris and dishonesty, has left us with no choice but to pursue legal action against him and his business which is now in progress. .we trusted this man with our home and our money, and we would have been grateful had he just been honest and delivered what he was paid for. And he was paid nearly every dime up front, a careless mistake on our part. As of mid-March, this person did not even have an owned business listed with the State of Maine. There is a listing with the Secretary of State for a “Flawless Construction”, but it’s another person who is not involved with this man or his business. Owner refused repeated attempts to have weekly check-ins. Was evasive on costs and charges, repeatedly promised and committed to do work which he later would complain about. Would attempt to double-charge us, attempted to gaslight us on things we’d already paid for. His demeanor and style of communication is what many might expect from a Massachusetts native in Maine, a sort of constantly BS’ing used care salesman type. No formal contract was provided, no receipts given. He was absent most days and had no consistent work crew that would be at our home every weekday. In essence, working with this man was a total crap shoot. He would ask for money multiple times in the same week and he was always paid. Always. We treated him with kindness, respect and never attempted to debate costs. We finally began to see trouble when, two days after paying him $15,000, (before he even began!) he came back and insisted on a check for multiple thousands of more dollars he said he needed it right away for a sub-contractor. He was pushy, arrogant, never cared to listen to our concerns. We began catching him in lies. The sub-contractor never appeared and I suspect never existed in the first place. Upon paying him two massive checks back to back, Mr. “Flawless Construction”, suddenly began pulling around a brand new dump trailer which, perhaps coincidentally, costs about the save amount of money we gave him for the phantom sub-contractor. Our place was left in shambles. He ripped out a set of stairs we never asked him to, and we’re stuck with that repair bill as well. Everything about our experience with this “business” and it’s owner was a disaster and had cost us massive amounts of money we could little afford, thus the legal action. I would strongly recommend he be avoided at all costs. And if you do hire him, conduct a VERY thorough background search. You’ll find additionally troubling information and won’t have to just take my word for it.

Flawless Construction delivers 5 star quality and service on a consistent basis. They recently worked on a siding project at my residence that required extensive dry rot repair which included rebuilding corners of the home and reflashing of windows and trim. Throughout the entire process Flawless Construction took the time to explain all the root causes of the issues and offer solutions to ensure there was not a reoccurance. Having Flawless Construction on the job has given my wife and I piece of mind that the job is being done right with the greatest attention to detail and quality. Flawless Construction has earned my business in the future and a 5 star rating.

Michael was very professional and his work was very efficient. I would definitely re-hire him in the future for projects.
