We purchased a home in Santa Fe, in June of 2020. Even though it was during the pandemic, I was able to travel between our home state and the home in Santa Fe, while it was being remodeled. The remodeling was going fairly smoothly until October, 2020, when New Mexico closed its borders to out of state visitors. I knew I was going to be unable to follow through with any of the final decorating decisions unless I hired someone from Santa Fe. Fortunately, Houzz led me to DeMarais Home Staging. The moment I contacted Debbie, I felt confident that we had hired a capable, dependable, creative and knowledgable designer to help us complete our project. Debbie guided us with our decisions regarding both exterior/interior paint colors and window coverings, and hired professional individuals to paint and install. She was available to oversee the appliance and floor installation. Additionally, she contracted professionals to address issues with plumbing, heating, electrical and security. Due to Debbie's follow through, we were able to move into our house in February. In the future, we will hire Debbie for our design projects and without hesitation recommend her to anyone in need of such service.

Debbie has been of enormous help to us in performing a variety of upgrades and renovations in our Santa Fe home. She guided us in the choice of paint colors that have enlivened our foyer and kitchen walls. In addition, her painting specialists produced a special color and finish for our kiva fireplace that is astonishing. Debbie also put us in touch with a wonderful carpenter who built low shelves in our living room and floor-to-ceiling bookcases in an office, both stained and finished to match perfectly our existing trim and windows/ doors. In our kitchen, Debbie found the perfect wine fridge to fill an existing space, and this same carpenter constructed a facing that makes the wine fridge blend seamlessly with the existing cabinets. In these matters and other smaller endeavors, we have been impressed with Debbie's flair for color and texture, her attention to detail, and her persistence in taking the project to a satisfactory completion.

Debbie is extremely pleasant to work with in staging our home for sale. She is the consummate professional and is extremely knowledgeable. She went above and beyond our expectations. Would work with her again in a heartbeat!

Selling your home is a stressful activity...but using a home stager made things infinitely easier. Debbie's professional knowledge and ability to come into your home and quickly assess what needs to be done...and then get it done quickly was greatly appreciated. In restaging the whole house, she took into consideration the fact that I was still living in the home. Debbie put together a list of things that I should remove when showing the home to give it that generic, less personal feel that buyers need to see. Debbie was also willing to help out with the staging of the open house events the realtor held, which was a major help to me. Within days of the house hitting the market, a buyer fell in love with the property, we had an offer and sold it quickly; at a price we were very happy with. I'm sure we wouldn't have been nearly as fortunate without Debbie's contributions and hard work!
