Debbie transformed our house into a home. She worked hard to understand our design taste. Her designing excellence made the house warm & inviting. She went beyond our expectations. In the beginning we were looking for help tying together our furniture with our new house by adding accent furniture, art and some paint. Her vision and creativity transformed our house into a work of art. From the faux painting, to custom faux iron, drapery, to the decadent accent pieces, our open concept house flows beautifully. She is knowledgeable, creative, professional, and she has a great attitude & excellent attention to detail. She not only functioned as our designer, but as a general contractor. What started out as a simple vision pieced together from magazines, various comments of, “I love that,” and furniture I wanted to incorporate unfolded into so much more in Debbie’s hands. She is the decorator I dreamed of finding. Debbie instantly understood our design style and most of the time with the pieces she picked it felt like she was reading my mind. Our home was about 20 years old and in serious need of updating when I first called Distinctive Interiors. We originally wanted to have some cosmetic changes made to the living room and master bedroom, but it soon became apparent that our entire home needed a facelift. I told Debbie that after the project was completed I wanted to walk into the house and be able to pick any room to sit in and it had to be comfortable, attractive and inviting. Debbie delivered - it doesn't matter if I sit in my living room, loft, office, kitchen, or bedroom(s), . The woodwork and fireplace have been updated, a mudroom was created without adding extra space, the interior is custom painted with different faux finishes in every room that complement each other, there are comfortable furnishings and carefully appointed accessories throughout and, it looks beautiful!
