At the insistence of my real estate agent, William Pitt Sotheby's, I contracted Staged Ryte to stage an almost 5,000 foot historic Dutch barn restored into a luxury residence. The owner, Dawn, reviewed the property and said they could handle the magnitude of the staging. I contracted them to design antique farmhouse meets modern farmhouse at the hefty price of $18,000.00. Over two days they moved a plethora of large furnishings in without sending me photos of the main pieces they would be using, as promised, for my approval. They provided no story board in advance. When I showed up, it looked like they emptied out their warehouse just to fill the home. The downstairs was covered modern motif, not farmhouse – leather, fake animal skins and looked like a separate residence. The main floor had so much furniture crammed in that the vast beauty of the original 1860 barn floors and beams got lost in all the clutter. The main focal point was an open liquor table an alcoholic would love, set between two large, bizarre chairs. The upstairs loft space had a fabric gray sleigh bed with cheap bedding, NOT farmhouse, with French Louis XV antique furniture pieces scattered about and garage sale looking chairs and Homegoods type large pillars on either side of the fireplace with the bed in front of the fire place where a sitting area should have been. The bed was flush against the wrought iron, hand crafted banister. From the grand center hall staircase looking up, it appeared a mattress was leaning against the artisan handcrafted banister. When I questioned Dawn she said they “weren't done" but really, all that was left was for them to position a bunch of French themed kitchen accessories and weird house tchotchkes they had all over the kitchen for “sorting.” My real estate agent agreed they were 90% complete and it was a disaster. THE MOST EGREGIOUS was when I instructed told them to remove everything, as this wasn’t in their wheelhouse (my real estate agent and multiple other industry professionals agreed) and I was canceling the contract for failure to provide what was agreed to, Dawn told me I would owe $6,000.00 for their move in and out fee. Um, no. Once they removed the ridiculous furniture, I found thier movers dragged the heavy furniture across the BRAND-NEW upstairs floors, creating many long, deep scratches, deep grooves and circular dents created by DROPPING large heavy, pieces of furniture into place. The cost to replace the flooring will run me $8,000.00. There are approximately 35 areas of damage on the floors and two sets of staircases. SR refused to acknowledge the damage or offer repairs, which made the holes they left in the walls from hanging ridiculous "artwork" seem like nothing. This was a home that has never been lived in and was brand new. Run, don't walk, away from Staged Ryte. Everything about their services and inability to own their mistakes is STAGED WRONG. Hire a company that can do more than make a few small rooms look cute.

No need to consider anyone else.... I won't get into details of the horrible experience we had had with another stager prior to meeting Staged Ryte. We watched buyer after buyer walking through our house and getting only lowball offers or comments like- "it's too big". or "wow, looks old". Well we fired the broker and the stager and started again . Nancy from Staged Ryte walked into our house and got it right away. She knew exactly what to do to make our home feel alive again. With one exception, each and every buyer who toured made a great offer. And the service that they gave during the process- even coming in and watering the plants- went above and beyond. If you are wondering, is it worth it? Yes!

Compassionate professionalism. Everything from conception through completion was clearly communicated and efficiently executed. Even while working tirelessly to meet (sometimes unrealistic) schedules everyone from the Staged Ryte team was respectful and compassionate to all involved. The transformation of our home after being staged for sale was nothing less than spectacular. Very artistic and creative, it truly feels like you are being walked through the home as if were made for you.

Dawn and her team at Stagedryte are just amazing. They were prepared to stage the home that we'd owned for 35 years and was completely full of belongings in every corner. Not only did they stage our house beautifully but Dawn's team also organized all of our belongings into categories to be donated or saved. This was a monumental task. Our home ended up selling in less than 30 days for about $50,000 more than the more-or-less identical home next door which had sold only a few months earlier. Finally, when a family member realized one of our rugs had been placed in the "donated" pile and wanted to recover it, Dawn's team tracked the rug down at the charity and went to recover it and bring it back to our house. This was totally above and beyond the call of duty. They did a really amazing job.

They did a great job on the way in and in getting things out after my sale. The decor looked great and certainly played a part in the quick sale of the house. Go with Staged Ryte!!
