David is a true professional. We chose him because of his well laid out plan and complete transparency with cost, overhead, etc. I could call David or his assistant, Allen, anytime and they would be two steps ahead. Our full kitchen remodel was complete in 6 weeks (after many weeks of planning). He even managed to keep our sink operational until the last minute. I can’t imagine what this remodel would have been like with anyone else. I’ve recommended to many friends since and will continue to do so.

I can't remember how we found David, but we are certainly happy we did. We chose David because of his creative design for our home and his respect for our wish to keep our project within the aesthetic bounds of a 1945 bungalow. He worked patiently with us on the design, repeatedly changing or scootching things around until we were comfortable. When we broke ground, his team was patient with our questions, respectful of our neighbors, timely and never left a mess. We are happy with the vendors David recommended, especially the cabinets and countertops. His flooring team was even able to match the size, color and texture of our original 1945 wood floors. David was also able to accommodate our wish to reuse materials we already had; he gave us a tutorial on salvaging brick and then lent us the tools so we could try it ourselves. Any delays were largely due to Mother Nature, and we came in only 3.5% over budget. We had one issue with a vendor, but do feel that David addressed it with us. We trusted David with our home, and all the emotion and money that comes with a renovation, and we made the right choice. We would absolutely hire David Tyson and Associates again, and continue to recommend him to everyone who asks us.

We contacted David Tyson & Associates after receiving a recommendation from a neighbor and we are so glad we did. We had a tremendous challenge on our hands with a 75+ year old home that was in dire need of renovation, expansion, TLC and re-design. The renovation included a kitchen, redesign of the master bedroom, bathroom addition, rear family room expansion, garage renovation and rear porch addition. Not only was the existing roof leaking but we had a poorly constructed front porch addition that needed rescuing as well! There were major challenges ahead of us and David gave us the confidence to forge ahead. From the early design phase to the finished product, David was with us every step of the way. There are stresses involved with major renovations and his communication, professionalism, quality craftsmanship and dedication to making us happy minimized our concerns and worry. His skilled staff and crew could not have been more pleasant and reliable. Bumps in the road were met with flexibility, dedication to solving the problem and making things right. The end result is a home that we are thrilled to live in and what we envisioned and hoped for. David revived an old Myers Park bungalow to the delight of our neighbors, family and friends. It was a pleasure working with him. Oh, and he is a friendly guy too. Cheers!

Came out to give an estimate and never heard from him again. Hired another, disappointed. Apparently didn't want my business. Said he was not able to do until late fall.

You will be hard pressed to find someone more passionate about the construction industry than David. His dedication to making the industry better for consumers and contractors is second to none. I have had the pleasure of working with David in trade organizations, charity events and contractor self improvement groups. David is a good personal friend and I look forward to collaborating with him well into the future on ways to raise the bar in our industry.

David has completed 5 or 6 projects for us over 30 years, always doing excellent work. He is a pleasure to work with, always patient, sodt-spoken, polite, creative and professional. My husband is disabled, and David has come up with several design ideas to make his Ife easier. We highly recommend David Tyson and his crews.

David Tyson and his crew are top of the line professionals. Although my renovation project was smaller than much of his work, I received the same attention to detail and time to make sure I understood everything. David is impeccably honest and trustworthy, two qualities that are often hard to find. I am extremely happy with the work and final outcome.

It was such a pleasure doing business with David Taylor. We are selling our house and needed immediate assistance in fixing a few items that surfaced during the home inspection. David came to our home within a couple days of our call. Due to his vast experience in the industry he knew exactly what had caused the problem and how best to fix it at a reasonable price. Since we were on such a tight schedule he sent a crew out within days. They were very professional, went straight to work, and were done in a jiffy. The entire experience was awesome! Absolutely five stars....After remodeling over fifteen homes and working with many companies, David Tyson is one of the best. What sold me at first was his method of billing. No surprises and straight forward. His staff was wonderful to work with - very considerate, conscientious and informative throughout the project. Each evening my home was clean when they left. I never thought I would say this but it was a pleasure to pay him the final payment when the project was completed.. He is also one time and affordable!
