David Pool is an excellent architect! He took our 1970's closed off home and with expert knowledge on how to work with the structural engineer and builder he created an open floor plan mid-century masterpiece! David is also easy to communicate with, and he has great design ideas. Working with him gave us confidence in our remodel that everything would turn out as planned. I would recommend David Pool Architecture to anyone!

David Pool Architecture has done an amazing job designing our home. Initially we were drawn to David after seeing some of his completed projects. We love his contemporary style, use of light and his indoor/outdoor concepts. We presented him a challenging lot upon which to work with. It is a small, city, infill lot with a steep slope to contend with. Working closely with the city, structural engineer and geo tech engineer, he determined all the setbacks, limitations and requirements of the lot, then he set out maximizing the potential of it. He listened to our wants and wishes and than put his creative abilities to work. He is easy to work with—prompt, friendly and very knowledgeable. Because we live out of state, most of our interactions were either through Skype, phone calls, or emails, but because of his patience and friendly demeanor the design process was seamless. In the end we are extremely happy with our home design and are excited to begin the building phase. We highly recommend Davis Pool Architecture!

Our house was difficult in the fact that it was a very traditional floor plan that we wanted to turn into a contemporary design. David helped us strike a balance between the two that we love. David was a pleasure to work with and we got our dream home!

My favorite part of the home transformation was the introduction of the steel column that supports the wood beam that created a new open floor plan. Also, the large sliding glass panel doors that capture your beautiful view to the Puget Sound.

Madera Furniture Company

My custom woodworking company has had the pleasure of working with David Pool Architecture pllc on three inspiring projects. In each case we appreciated the ease of communication and detailing of the designs - 2 important items that are not always available when working with architects and designers. Working with Dave on the "Browns Point" residence (in which we fabricated the cabinetry, front door and much of the furniture) was the smoothest run large-scale project we ever undertook, with much of the success due to his skillful project management.
