Dani has a wonderful sense of design. Her skill and attention to detail ensured that our home looks wonderful. Dani is VERY punctual which is unusual for a lot of designers (based on past experiences with others). If she says she will be at yours at a particular time, she is a little early !! She is also a very good mediator in marital disputes, as such disputes arise in the design process !!! Our project was unfortunately drawn out a lot longer than expected due to COVID, and some pieces of furniture took a long time. However such circumstances were beyond Dani's control and she constantly kept us updated and was in regular contact with suppliers on our behalf. Overall we were impressed with her design flair, her vibrant personality, her time management, and the overall beautifully aesthetic result achieved for our home.

We asked Dani to help us to renovate and style the entranceway to our home, it was a bit of a disaster of multiple materials - exposed brick, slate, diagonal VJ timber, timber slats, tiles - you name it - so were very lost with what to do with it. We hired Dani to redesign our outdoor deck and pool area and we love the results! I now have a lovely place to relax, the best spot in the house. Very nervously I searched for a designer to help me rejuvenate my lounge room.Over the years I have bumbled on making purchases and hoping for the best. Sometimes okay, sometimes not. I found Dani on this site and arranged a meeting. Dani was like a breath of fresh air. She listened to me, nursed me through my anxieties and recommended carpet, furniture and accessories which suited my existing items which I wanted to keep. The room I now have, mid-century modern I believe it's called, which matches the style of home, is open, calming and yet shuzzy (is that a word?). She was generous with her time and did a lot of shopping arriving with armfuls of cushions etc., so that we could play and decide on the best options. She was mindful of my budget and actually saved me some money by purchasing some things which were on special. We met at the beginning of November and the job was completed 2nd week in January. She worked through the Xmas break and was always available to discuss things, day or night. I would highly recommend her. She's skillfull, and great fun.

Dani is a super star - styling, decorating and modifying our house in good time and in line with our styles, while also finding ways to stretch the budget. We had just built our house and were overwhelmed by the amount of thought needed to fill each room and make our new house a home. Dani came to the rescue, designing each room and researching each piece needed. She was very professional and friendly Easy to talk to and not only had great ideas but listened to our plans to incorporate them in the overall finish.

Engaging the services of Dani Louis Design proved to be a great investment. Dani’s expertise increased the pre-renovation valuation of our apartment to the ultimate sale price, by three times the cost of the renovation! I was overwhelmed by the scale of the work needed. From industrial cleaning, flooring to ceiling revamp, bathroom and kitchen resurfacing, plumbing, electrical and lighting- the lot. Dani made it all possible and removed the stress from renovating and staging our 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. Without Dani’s industry contacts, I would have wasted days, obtaining and comparing quotes, with no guarantee of the quality results she achieved. She project managed from the start to our first open home! Employing and liaising with contractors and tradespeople, staging for advertising photography, all with her “no problem” attitude. Her flair for colour choices of paint and furnishings, innate sense of design and ultimate styling pizazz was reflected in our agent’s admiration, “honestly the best styling I have ever seen!” I can’t recommend Dani highly enough. Dani undertook a styling exercise on our apartment in Kangaroo Point. We drew up a 2 page brief: the first page listed our general likes and dislikes; the second page listed things we felt were not quite right. We gave her just the first page. We knew Dani understood our needs, when at our first meeting, she identified 95% of the items from the 2nd page. While we could identify the styling issues, we could not come up with a solution. Dani has a wonderful design flair and was sensitive to our requirements: contemporary design built around our Asian furniture. In our case we liked to be involved in the process and would look for furniture items, etc., which once found, we would have Dani review. Dani also was sensitive to budget, recognising that often the simplest solutions worked very well. For example, sometimes relocating furniture and art work, or painting a wall a different colour, was all that was needed. We highly recommend Dani Russell and Rhondda Skinner

I had a large rumpus room that needed to be spruced up. For 8 years it has languished at the bottom of our stairs, used by the kids to play - Lego, paints, playdoh, TV – whatever - I didn’t care what happened in this room so long as the mess stayed downstairs away from ‘my’ lounge room. It had painted brick and some plaster walls, it had exposed steel beams…it was a hodge podge and I couldn’t figure out what to do with it. I started browsing Houzz and saw what some people had done with their ‘bonus’ room. I dreamt of a room where I could be inspired to work and one where the kids could play. Thankfully I found Dani from Dani Louis Design to help me turn my dreams into reality. Dani started the process of designing the room by looking through our living space to get a feel for how we lived, what we liked and how we wanted to use the space. She diagnosed our style as ‘eclectic’ and set about creating mood boards for us to discuss. Minor building works – plastering over the brick walls, paint colours and additional lighting were all suggested. The fun stuff came next with new furniture that worked with our old furniture, plants, artwork and window treatments all coming together to give us a room that we are incredibly happy spending time in. Dani was able to make one huge room work hard – media room, study, reading room, play room – all the family now enjoy using it! Other than now having a room we are all proud of, the best part was working with Dani. She was open to discussing my myriad of ideas and great at reining me in! She is able to get discounts for furniture, lighting and trades so her fee really becomes superfluous to the overall cost of the renovation. My husband and I engaged Dani Louis Design to help decorate and style our new home. We had a specific budget to work with and a few rooms to execute: main bedroom, entrance, sitting room and lounge room. After the initial consultation, Dani put together visual boards with her ideas for each room. She made suggestions in line with our taste and aesthetics and had great ideas in relation to design and use of space. Dany styled our town house when we were marketing it for sale. I think the pictures speak for themselves in terms of the aesthetics and attention to detail. There had been a huge price rise in our area, but no sales in our unit block since we bought several years ago, We wanted buyers to be comparing against recent sales of top-end town houses in our area, not against the most recent sale in our block. So we needed the interior of our property to reflect the premium location and views. Dani's styling achieved this 100%. The feedback from viewers was all positive and we got the sale price we were after. Dani designed and project managed the renovation of the top storey of a 4 bedroom home in Mount Gravatt East for us. This included a new kitchen, installation of floorboards, new lighting, painting, new doors, new carpets and curtains and an update to the bathrooms including new tapware etc Basically the whole top floor other than the bathroom tiles and internal walls was changed! Dani has great ideas and we really love the way the house has turned out. Our favourites are the kitchen (stunning sleek design, with a mirror over one wall) and the master bedroom. Dani is a miracle-worker! My husband and I bought an old 1970s unit that had gone untouched since the moment it was built. There were cracks in the walls, lime green cupboards in the kitchen, tiny tiles cemented into the Kitchen and Bathroom floors, mustard yellow paint on the walls, stained and worn carpets, and the list goes on and on. It was a HUGE renovation job that seemed overwhelming to us, so that's when we decided to look for a designer. We called Dani and she was so relaxed and cool and she knew just what we were looking for. We had a very strict time-limit (3 weeks!) so everything had to be organized perfectly in order for the job to get done. Dani was up for the challenge, and she did a remarkable job! Dani Louis Design did a fantastic renovation for us using cost effective materials at the best prices, and giving the best visual impact. Our apartment was very worn and sad. Now it looks fresh and modern and great to live in. Dani Louis Design renovated our apartment at Southbank. The work was done over 3 weeks. The difference between before and after photos is amazing. Now our apartment has increased in value by $50-100k (we mortgaged) and is renting to profession couples at $650 per week.

In the refurbishment of the lounge room and hall way of my unit I commissioned professional interior decorator Dani Louis Design in the last quarter of 2012 to provide advices, design and project management services. Dani Louis Design as my interior decorator along with associated trade professionals carried out refurbishment to my requirements and complete satisfaction. Trade professionals used in this refurbishment project included flooring specialists, painters and electricians. (Project cost $15,907.36 plus her fees) I recommissioned Dani Louis Design in the last quarter of 2013 on the same basis to enhance and refurbish my ablutions area. This project included the complete gutting of my shower room with the removal of asbestos by licensed personnel. Trade professionals used in this project were plumbers, electricians, plasterers, tilers, carpenters, screen makers and painters.(Project cost $19,522.11 plus her fees) I am very much pleased with the outcome of both my enhancements and am happy to recommend the services of Dani Louis Design and her attending trades personnel to potential clients.

Dani was committed to project managing the renovation from start to finish which meant we didn't need to be on-site to oversee any of the works. I have a house in west end which was originally a single level 3 bedroom workers cottage.
