Daniel Joseph Chenin, Ltd. Established in 2014, Daniel Joseph Chenin, Ltd. is an international award-winning, multi-disciplinary design studio with an integrated approach that blurs the lines between design disciplines and project typologies. Our studio philosophy is rooted in the idea that designs should be experiential at every level. It is not just about aesthetics; it is about how a person feels within a space and how it functions. We view each project as an opportunity to craft an evocative experience, one with a story arc and a unique vocabulary used to set the visual stage and create a sense of place. We translate the built form into a series of events that unfold: a celebration of movement from point to point through space and time, culminating in curated moments and experiences. Our rigorous and holistic approach has established the firm’s reputation for exceptionally crafted, meticulously detailed, and thoughtfully curated spaces. Taking on a limited number of commissions at a time, each project begins as a study into our clients’ objectives, without a preconceived notion or prototypical style. We design from the inside out with a focus on the programmatic aspects of a space including their function, organization, and relationship to one another – specifically how the sequencing of spaces are experienced. Our approach centers on developing a meaningful understanding of each commission – balancing our client's functional and aesthetic priorities to craft spaces that are fully conceptualized, richly layered and stylistically distinct to deliver a one-off piece of art for each client. Over the years we have received numerous prestigious awards for our work including being named as the 2021 American Institute of Architects (AIA) Firm of the Year for the State of Nevada and winning a Jury Selection and People's Choice Award in the 2022 Architizer A+Awards, the world's largest architecture and interior design awards program.
