As a general contractor, I have built two multi-million dollar homes designed by Dan Curran. The Lehrberg residence won the AIAMB Design Award and the Graniterock Signature Best Sustainable Design Award. Dan Curran is a creative designer with the rare capability of marrying expansive vision with unique and appropriate detail.Combine this with his natural ability to support and collaborate in the construction process, and you have an architect who succeeds time and time again to please his clients.

I bought a sizable piece of property on which only cows had grazed. For this property Dan designed a small complex of buildings that fit beautifully into the rural lanscape.His design was very creative in terms of both concepts and materials. Dan also captured in his design the look and the feel that I had hoped for in a home. Throughout construction, Dan was attentive, often present, and always responsive to the contractor's questions when they arose. In my view, Dan's work was superb.

We 'inherited' Dan when we bought a lot on which he had designed a house for the previous lot owners. We loved the way he had sited the house, but we were looking for a Contemporary sensibility - not Tuscan. Dan did an easy pivot and created a beautiful home for us with nary an arched window. Dan was a pleasure to work with. He was great coordinating with the builder and was respectful of our budget.

Dan Curran designed and oversaw the construction of two quality custom homes for our family. Obviously we were quite impressed with his work on the first or we would not have commissioned him for the second (the first being our family home and the second our retirement home). We found Dan to be not only creative and knowledgeable but also a calm and reasonable influence during the building process. Also vital to the success of this type of relationship Dan is a good communicator. He has a knack for listening to the client regarding the "wish" list and making it not only real but so much better. I do not hesitate to give Dan Curran the very highest recommendation.

Dan Curran has extensively renovated two houses for us over the years. Both times we were very happy with the results. Dan is professional, communicative, and most important, very creative. He is also easy to work with. in fact, we would not consider using another architect.
