Now, going on six months after move-in, I continue to marvel at the small details and build quality he holds his contractors to. Dale and Debbie are great at two specific things, building great homes and making people happy. The proof is in their following, go to their open houses and you will see many of the same people over and over which are past and current customers. Dale doesnt follow the flow of most builders he is honest, professional and straight forward to make sure you meet the needs of his customers. When our home was built he did more than raised our expectations, didnt cut any corners and did everything right. Six years later the place is rock solid with no problems. I am not a person to loosely throw out recommendations but when it comes to Dale and Debbie I will openly preach to anyone on their behalf. All you have to do is call them, you will not be disappointed.

Dale Sauer built my family a beautiful, solidly engineered home. From ground breaking to taking over the keys was about 9 months... much faster than any of the other surrounding builds. Even before ground breaking Dale spent countless meetings with us at the architect to help us translate our dream into reality. He was responsive during our build and after. He threw us a lovely open house with live music. I would definitely build with him again.

We met Dale at the 2012 Parade of Homes at Setterfield where we were just attending to get ideas for our future home like most people. My interaction with his wife/ business partner Debbie was one I will not forget. She is very friendly, approachable and the one who reels you in without even trying! We had just purchased our lot two months before and met with an Architect once already. Dale and Debbie simply asked to have our email so we could be invited to their future open houses and see what they have to offer. The summer of 2014; many open houses, questions and answers later we decided to sign with them. We learned that when they have past clients of 10+ years ago still coming to their open houses to say hi and see his newest build, Dale is someone to consider seriously. He never pressured us with follow-up phone calls, or emails. We did tell him up front, we have to wait a couple of years after our lot purchase to start the build. He was very understanding. Once we started, he gave us about an 8 month timeline, knowing from his past customers that it will be 5-6 once foundation was poured, depending on the size of the house. Sure enough, 6 months later we moved in. Dale is on top of his subcontractors and works very well with you when you are seeking other options then his usual companies he works with. The process itself is stressful, but Dale and Debbie do their best to keep the communication lines and his office door open when you need to regroup for any reason. Now that the house is done, he is still working with us to tie up loose ends or help guide us with any other issue. We will be one of those past clients coming to his open houses in 10 years telling you we had a great experience.

Highly Recommend Dale Sauer Homes! Dale and his staff were great to work with and very responsive, they were on top of the project at all times and provided great follow up. They build a quality product with beautiful results. He was very upfront and honest in contracting at a fair price and delivered on all of his promises with an outrageously timely completion. We moved in two months ago and he has been very responsive in getting any follow up items addressed. I would and have recommended him to many friends and would hire him again!

We started talking to Dale Sauer about building a custom home several years ago because we were impressed with one of his entries in a Parade of Homes in San Antonio. We've now been in the house he built for us for a little over a year. From that first meeting up to today we have had an absolutely wonderful experience with Dale Sauer Homes. I have worked with Dale as his interior designer for about 4 years. He builds a great home and builds a wonderful bond with his clients and the professionals that work with him. Many of his clients are repeat customers, certainly a testimony to his homes.

Our first encounter with Dale Sauer Homes was during the San Antonio Parade of Homes in 2008 and we were immediately impressed by the fact that the people directing the crowds from room to room were people Dale had built houses for in the past. We liked a lot of the features in that Parade home so later that year as we worked with an architect on house plans, we included Dale when we asked for preliminary bids from five San Antonio area builders. I assumed Dale, as the Parade of Homes builder in that group, would come in the highest, but the exact opposite was true! Then the economy took a nosedive and we postponed our plans to build until we could sell our ranch (not easy during the devastating drought), which did not occur until late 2012. All during those intervening years, two things happened that impressed us about Dale: he continued to build the relationship with us and he invited us to the Open House of each new home he finished, where we continued to meet the people he had built previous homes for – and they all said the same thing: “If we ever build again – Dale will do it, no question.” As someone who had experienced building a new home in 1996, we found that type of statement to be almost unbelievable. Dale poured our foundation in April 2013 and we moved into our beautiful, new 5,200+ square foot home in November of that year. Amazing, considering other builders quoted us anywhere from one to two years for the type of home we were going to build! Overall it was a very pleasurable experience. No project is without issues or questions that arise, but Dale not only raised some of those questions, he helped come up with solutions, and went the extra mile in solving them. Throughout the process, we were impressed with the way he listened to what we wanted, was innovative in his execution, managed and scheduled his sub contractors with Swiss watch precision, and always looked for things he could add to the plan to give us more value. Even after months of living in the house, he has been extremely responsive in coordinating subs to come back (at no charge to us) and correct little things that we have found, whether it was light bulbs that needed replacing, an appliance that was making a noise, a fan that needed balancing, etc. We are now part of that crowd that attends his open houses to tell potential clients, “If we ever build again – Dale will do it, no question!”

We contracted with Dale Sauer Homes to build our custom home. Dale builds a very nice, high quality home. From start to finish, he listens to the customer and is easy to work with. Dale makes sure the building process is organized, scheduled properly and finishes on time. With Dale Sauer Homes, we received everything we expected and more. Dale maintains contact with his customers many years after the sale to make sure they are still enjoying their home.
