Cheryl von Tress Interiors + is full-service interior design firm for homes and businesses. I love raw space -- new construction and remodels. From our first meeting, I will capture your vision and wish list. Then, throughout the process I will design along with you. Most of my clients prefer to participate in the shopping and sourcing of goods. Some clients ask me to create complete rooms for them, only presenting select items for final approval and purchase. Your comfort and enjoyment is my top priority. Clients have routinely mentioned how easy it is to work with me. They appreciate my interpersonal skills on their behalf to contractors, trades/craftspeople, suppliers and vendors. I am a problem solver and reduce the drama that sometimes occurs during a major project. I track the project to keep the parts under my control on time and budget. I view your home in its entirety -- whether I'm working with you on a small part or the entire dwelling. My joy and pleasure as an interior designer is to envision you enjoying the function, beauty and comfort of your home, I am resourceful and creative in finding the perfect design elements and finishes and in bringing them together as a whole. Working with existing furnishings or purchasing new -- I bring a cohesive, balanced design together -- honoring your taste and budget, while bringing an expanded vision of what can be. You have the final decision always. While I love getting photos of my work to share, ultimately, my work with you is about getting YOUR home to a level of beauty and comfort that will be satisfying for a long time.

I needed to refresh my home and Cheryl was referred to me. We hit it off right away as we found we had much in common of recent life changes. I'm not sure I can express how pleased and happy I am with my "Do Over"! First of all, she "got me". I knew from the first small suggestions she made that she had really listened. She actually floored me over with how she seemed to know what I would like. The results turned out to be so much more amazing then I could have ever imagined. And, when I did not like a choice of an item she found, I felt very free to tell her and that was that. However, the choices I did not care for were only a couple of things. Thank you Cheryl for my refresh!!! Oh and everyone who comes into my home goes on and on about the refresh!!!

My husband and I found Cheryl to be very creative, intuitive and flexible. She is a good listener and gives her recommendations based on what we have in mind. She seems to have a natural ability to know what colors and patterns work well together in a particular room. She is willing to do as much or as little of the project depending upon the clients wishes. We look forward to working with her again.

Cheryl understood my style and needs from the beginning. Her recommendations for paint, rugs, and fabrics were perfect. She also helped with hanging artwork and arranging accessories in several rooms.

Cheryl helped with the design and remodel of our Coffeehouse & Cafe a while back. She did an outstanding job helping us with colors and layout as well as updating our image with fresh and inviting ideas. I would highly recommend her for your interior design project! Cheryl has been my savior with our new house in Ashland, from buying furniture, to furniture layout, to remodeling our master bath. I've never hired an interior decorator before, so Cheryl's approachable, caring personality and cost-saving tips were beyond helpful. She really took the time to listen and understand our family's individual tastes, lifestyle, and budget before making a recommendation. Many designers like to go glam or add a lot of clutter, but Cheryl offered stylish, affordable suggestions that perfectly fit our woodsy, arts & crafts needs. Best of all, she got me in and out of the tile store in 2 hours! I absolutely LOVED working with her!

We highly recommend Cheryl Von Tress for your decorating needs. She took the time to find out what appealed to us and then designed a great new living room that included two large niches. She put together a Pinterest board with items and based on our feedback she got a sense of what we liked. She went furniture shopping with me and pulled the fabrics for chairs, sofa, electric recliner, custom ottoman and rug. As she finds items while out looking for other clients, she’ll text pictures for you to think about, or you can text her with pictures of items you are thinking of and she responds quickly with sage advice. We couldn’t have done it without her – she is the best!

Cheryl helped me with decisions on coordinating floor coverings--hardwood, vinyl, and tile--and she did a wonderful job! With Cheryl's help, I felt confident in the choices I made. As you know, mistakes in choices of this nature can be very costly. Cheryl is a gifted designer, a true professional, and a good and kind human being. I know her well as a neighbor and friend, in addition to her role as an interior designer.

Cheryl helped me freshen the look of our entryway and hall. She found wood flooring that exactly matched our existing 25 year old wood floor in our living room and recommended new paint colors. She has an excellent eye for color.

Our kitchen was cramped and lacked good storage. We really needed it updated and had a few ideas what we wanted. From the first visit with Cheryl, we knew we hired the right person. In meeting with our contractor and her, immediately we could see the kitchen getting the changes we needed. She was able to see possibilities and suggest solutions quickly. Her drawings were hand sketches and offered a variety of options for different areas. She really “got” me with my love of rustic, fun and quirky elements — I added just a touch of these and it made our kitchen more personal which we love. We made the final decisions with our contractor. Her help was invaluable. It got us unstuck and gave us a plan to move forward. The new kitchen is just what we needed and more than we could have envisioned.
