Crystal Mickelsen Design

This was my first time working with a designer, and I was concerned about the cost and not having my wishes honored. My concerns were absolutely alleviated after working with Crystal. The cost was reasonable and she was very respectful of my unique design tastes. I would definitely recommend working with her. She was proactive without being pushy, she's open to new ideas while clearly explaining "the norms". She looked at things from all angles, presented them clearly, and always respected my choices. She was awesome!

Crystal has an eye for finding just the right accent or color to go in just the right spot, complimenting an area and drawing attention to those places we’d want our family and guests to focus on. She is capable of using existing decor, or finding decor, that enhances and completes the look and style that person is going for in their home. Crystal has the beautiful ability to work within a variety of style and templates (even those that are not her personal taste) and draw ideas from objects that may not have even been considered, but that are already the home. She was able to put onto paper, and then later into action in the home, what was trying to form in my mind – being able to understand what I was trying to explain but couldn’t. I was very impressed with her expertise, as well as her promptness, professionalism, work ethics, and how she went the extra mile.

Crystal worked with me to furnish my entire house. After renting for years, we finally bought our dream home and I wanted the furnishings to reflect our clean, modern aesthetic. Crystal's aesthetic worked well with ours and she provided great guidance for each room. Her approach was thoughtful and methodical and her suggestions and mock-ups were very helpful in guiding us through a process that could have easily become overwhelming. Crystal has a very sophisticated sense of style and always had great ideas for us to consider. We are thrilled with how the house looks and are very happy that we chose Crystal Mickelsen Design.

We contacted Crystal for advice when we were looking to remodel our home. We needed a bigger kitchen and couldn’t see an obvious way to accomplish it. She looked at the available space and came up with a perfect solution that we never would have thought of. We followed her advice and have been very happy with the result. Her creative thinking outside the box saved the day! I highly recommend her skill and resourcefulness!
