As a Denver based landscape architect, when I 'm looking for the perfect little something to integrate into a space that I've designed, whether it's a central element like a fire-pit, a water feature, or a piece of sculpture...or perhaps it's something a little less "important" like a beautifully glazed pot, or a piece of furniture, the first place I go to find it is CREATIVE LIVING! The owner, Gita Hyde, has a great eye for design and her shop is always full of tasteful, artistic, whimsical, well made, fairly priced things that are sure to be a good addition to any space. Over the years, I've said to several clients of mine..."Alright, now that I've designed you a cupcake...let's head down to Creative Living, so we can find the perfect cherry to put on top of it"...and I know before we even get there that she will have the perfect thing! Aside from all the wonderful objects, for me, the best part of going to Creative Living is to have a chance to visit with Gita. She is always incredibly helpful and able to lead me right to what I'm looking for, even if I don't yet know exactly what it is. Often, I will just send my clients down to the shop, tell them to let Gita know that they are "working with me" and know that they will be well taken care of. Gita runs a great shop, that everyone who appreciates design and outdoor spaces should know about! She has always taken great care of me and my clients, but perhaps more important than anything, over the years of working together, she has become someone I am proud to call my friend.
