I moved from a larger home and was at a loss as to what to do with my family room. I have worked with designers before and Chosen Interiors did a fantastic job. Mary Jo‘s selections were perfect for me. Also, her husband is skilled at installation so everything was installed easily and they work well together. I am very grateful for their help.

Mary Jo and Rodney have been great! After 16 years our entire home needed a facelift, but the idea of updating the kitchen—while also replacing all the flooring and repainting the entire interior—was just so overwhelming. Every time we started to look at doing it ourselves, or talked about hiring a contractor, we would just get frustrated and wind up not doing anything. I knew we needed more support than that. Mary Jo was able to come in and help us create a plan for how we could best accomplish our goals while also working within our budget. She helped us through each step of the process, and she and Rodney oversaw each piece of the puzzle, so that we were able to go about our normal life with a minimum of distractions or worries. Anytime you work on a project this big there are bound to be setbacks and issues, but we did not want to have to be the ones to deal with them. Mary Jo took care of everything and made sure it was done and done right. We would definitely work with Rodney & Mary Jo again!

When I was going from a 500-square-foot apartment to a 2,500-square-foot home, I knew I needed help. I owned no nice furniture I wanted to take with me, so I needed someone to help me furnish and decorate an entire home, as well as help me during the construction of my home to help me pick finishes as I was purchasing a new build. We hired Mary Jo and Rodney for a kitchen and powder room renovation and new flooring, carpeting, and painting. We are very happy with the design selections and quality of the work. I hired Mary Jo to help choose paint colors for our entire house and to update our kitchen - two huge projects that I could not have done on my own. She and her team really exceeded my expectations – the colors coordinate nicely throughout the house and the new, updated kitchen is beautiful. He managed all the repairs, inside and outside the home, and kept me informed all along the way. I was so thankful that they were there to take care of everything. They are the best! When we had to unexpectedly have work done on our home after a bathroom flood, Mary Jo and her team rescued us. They were prompt, professional and accommodating. Mary Jo had great design ideas and managed the project from beginning to end. So, when it came time to finish our unfinished basement, there was no doubt we would call Mary Jo. I met with Mary Jo a few months ago after moving into a new home for paint color consultation. We JUST finished the painting using her suggestions and we couldn't be happier. The home was built in 1990 and has some odd interior ceiling heights and not great flow. I'm usually good with picking paint colors and ideas for furniture but this house was really not coming together for me. Thank goodness I found Mary Jo and CC Design. First, she was not at all hesitant when I told her that, due to significant, unexpected, and expensive repairs in the new place I basically had no decorating budget for the near future. She offers a 2-hour consultation service for a fantastically reasonable price and I chose that option. The main focus was to pick paint colors and discuss suggestions for furniture placement. She made some suggestions for the paint that I never would have thought of. She gave great reasons for those suggestions and we went with them. And it looks ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. EXACTLY the feel and flow we were wanting! The consultation with her was money well spent. It took about an hour to pick the colors so she spent the remaining time discussing furniture options, placement in the living area and some remodel ideas for our master bath. I would absolutely use her again both for the hourly consultations and, hopefully, larger projects with an actual budget to work with.

Mary Jo came to my house for a consultation for remodeling our bathroom. She gave me more information than I ever would have imagined in a 2 hour time period! What I appreciated most was that she was attuned to the realities of our budget and the temptation to go beyond what we might get back when it is time to sell. She talked about different options for materials and made suggestions regarding looking for contractors. We are still in the early stages of our project, but I look forward to contacting Mary Jo to continue working with us on our bathroom remodel and other projects in the future.

I was planning to have 6 rooms repainted and needed to select colors. I cannot see color very well and have "0" confidence in my ability to select paint color. After 2 agonizing months and 35 paint samples from Sherwin-Williams I contacted Mary Jo for help. She was amazing. Her confidence and experience immediately put me at ease. Within 2 hours she helped me select the colors. The painting is now complete and the rooms look beautiful. She is now helping me with some interior decorating ideas.

I have been very happy with all the work that Mary Jo has done in our home. We initially worked together to decorate our primary living space. That went so well that I asked for help in another room. Our kitchen was in desparate need of updating, but we were hesitant due to our limited knowledge on how to accomplish what we wanted. Mary Jo was extremely confident with her recommendations and gave us the confidence we needed to complete the task. I have used CC Design Atlanta twice now. Once in Atlanta for a traditional style home and this latest time for my home near the beach. Mary Jo is a versatile designer who executed both styles with ease. I wanted a beach feel without the beachy look. Her use of color and texture gave my home an elegant yet rustic look that is so fresh and comfortable without screaming “beach theme.” I have an open plan living area that could look cold and empty but Mary Jo has a knack for space planning, and created different, smaller areas for sitting and eating and it just flows so well She has a great eye for color and brought in colors that compliment each other and brought out the different architectural elements of the rooms that I would not have thought to do. Some tradesmen were required for window treatment installation and pictures etc and Mary Jo coordinated all of this seamlessly. Once again it has been a great experience working with CC Design Atlanta and I would not hesitate to recommend Mary Jo. Thank you so much for my beautiful home.

Great job with her. She listened to the way we wanted our rooms to look and was also not afraid to voice her opinion on what she thought would look good. Sometimes I liked her ideas better than my own. Very patient, super easy to contact and reach, and has a very flexible schedule. Her or her staff are very attentive to any business coming their way. Would hire any day for any design project.

CC Designs is amazing! Very detail oriented and wonderful finished product! They can take any space and make it great. Whether you need a room refurbished or completely made into something new, they can do it! Mary-Jo is wonderful with color matching and various painting styles. Highly recommended!

I am happy to share that Mary Jo did a fabulous job on our family room. She was responsive to emails, coordinated around our schedules and incorporated our feedback into her design plans. MaryJo & Rodney are top notch. Rodney & Jim reconstructed a built in cabinet to accommodate our large screen TV. MaryJo & Katrina glazed the finished product & it transformed our room and blew our minds. Then MaryJo had full access to decorate our family room and dining room from ground zero. We are so fortunate and excited to have the opportunity to have this done - my first professional decorator experience and it was well worth it. I could never have created such a comfortable, peaceful feel. My only instruction to MaryJo was that we had grown kids with grand dogs that visit often and hopefully soon grand baby's. We are definitely a live in your house family and did not want a "showcase" that was too pretty to touch. We got the best of both. Both rooms are a beautiful showcase but with a comfortable inviting feel to relax and enjoy. I'm ecstatic with the results- I can't wait to be able to hire her to decorate my bedroom. not only are they very talented, each in their own right- they are task oriented, perfectionist, on time, on schedule, all of the crews for painting and electrical were coordinated and overseen by MaryJo and all of her vendors were polite, timely, and everyone cleaned up after themselves..... I could go on and on but I think you get the picture. Hiring CC design/Cooper's Creations is money well spent.

We worked with Mary Jo Cooper to transform our kitchen, family room and dining room. She coordinated the kitchen cabinet paint color with a new backsplash and wall color that flows into the family room with awesome new furniture, rug, tables and accessories. Along with the new dining furniture, our home looks incredible. We couldn't be happier with her attention to detail, recommendations on furniture choices and her guidance with our decisions. Mary Jo is easy to work with and extremely knowledgeable. Her goal seemed to be client satisfaction and she did exactly that with us and our home.

I wondered whether I could afford to hire Mary Jo Cooper, but as it turned out, I couldn’t afford NOT to hire her. I was in a serious bind with my home. The housing market for my area had not yet recovered, and while my mortgage was not underwater, the current value of my home was still tens of thousands of dollars under what I had paid almost 15 years ago. Then, to compound the problem, my home was damaged and required extensive repair. Oh, and, did I mention that I needed to sell my home within the next year? I was overwhelmed trying to determine what needed to be done in order to repair my home and renovate for sale, but still minimize further financial loss. So, I called Mary Jo. Mary Jo had requested that I complete an assessment prior to her visit so that she was prepared to meet my needs. From the moment she arrived, Mary’s ideas and recommendations flowed at about 25 per minute. I was taking notes as quickly as possible, but barely kept up. I quickly learned that much of the task list that I had established for preparing my home for sale was misguided. Mary Jo suggested many far less expensive ways of updating my house for the younger and trendier demographic that is purchasing in my area. What I truly loved about her style was that she is very specific. She didn’t suggest color families for paint – she provided manufacturers and precise paint codes. She didn’t tiptoe when my ideas didn’t work – she quickly indicated that they wouldn’t meet my objectives and recommended alternatives. By the time Mary Jo left, I felt that I had a quite workable plan of action established. And then, things changed. The timetable for selling my house was extended by several years. While I was quite happy with the plan we’d developed for selling, now that I'd be here longer, I wanted to modify the plan to better fit my style and taste while keeping the style within the taste parameters of the future purchasers, as well. So, I called Mary Jo again. Round two was even better than the initial visit. (I think that I failed to mention earlier that even though Mary Jo is focused on meeting your objectives, she is also fun!) We’d covered a number of things in the first visit that didn’t need to be changed, so with this visit, we came up with a new wall and flooring plan, vetted my bathroom tile schemes, determined how to update my existing furniture, selected upholstery fabrics and discussed accessories/art. I received so much more value from Mary Jo than I ever expected. Her advice saved me from spending thousands of dollars that would not provide the return that I hoped to receive. And even more importantly, for the first time in years, I am excited about my home again. I’ve begun to implement our plan and can’t wait to see the final product! Thank you, Mary Jo!

We have never worked with a designer before and did not know what to expect. Mary Jo was very professional and extremely helpful in guiding us through our project. She gave us some very practical and clever ideas about how to coordinate color schemes for several rooms in our home. We are very pleased and look forward to working with her in the future.

Mary Jo and Rodney Cooper (CC Design Atlanta) designed and remodeled our 16 year old kitchen with new granite counter tops, sink, faucet, disposal, backsplash, cabinets, and pendant and under cabinet lighting. During the demolition of the old cabinets, they discovered water damage and repaired the leak, in upstairs bathroom, and the damaged wall in the kitchen. Mary Jo updated the adjoining living room with new pictures and side tables. Her ability to pull everything together shows amazing decorating talent. They were easy to work with, reliable, paid attention to details and very "up front" with every part of the project. We look forward to working with them again.

We hired Mary Jo and Rodney Cooper of Cooper’s Creations, LLC to do some small jobs around 2009 and were so pleased that we continued to have more home improvements completed by them. Over the next couple of years, we had windows replaced, indoor shutters installed, oak floors installed in hall, large family room, and kitchen, and effective but not expensive updates to bathrooms such as granite counters, large mirror. Coopers Creations was able to save us money in many ways such as selling us items at wholesale prices, and found bargains such as granite for a small counter. All work was done timely and professionally, and in a friendly way with no problems. When I was preparing the house to sell in 2012, Mary Jo helped to stage the house at minimum cost. This was a bad time to sell and comparable houses were on the market for many months. I credit the attractiveness of the house for getting a signed contract from a buyer in only 5 weeks. Because of my move out of the state, I can't give exact dates and costs but the prices were competitive and reasonable.

CC Design Atlanta / Coopers Creations helped us update our 18 year old kitchen by replacing the linoleum floor with beautiful porcelain tile. Their advice and choices of patterns and colors were excellent. CC Design Atlanta / Coopers Creations was chosen because their practice is to remove the old floor and start over with good material. They also tiled under the stove, dishwasher and refrigerator. We considered a big box store contractor for this job, but they would not tile under the appliances and would have installed the new floor on top of the old flooring, which CC Design Atlanta / Coopers Creations does not do. CC Design Atlanta /Coopers Creations' price was comparable to the price of the other business we considered, and we received a professional designer's advice to help us make the right decisions! The job was completed in a timely manner. The crew worked together efficiently and always professionally. We were able to restore our kitchen very quickly. Between the work done in a friends house and my own personal experience with CC Design Atlanta, I can say with 100% certantity that Mary Jo and Rodney the right choice for home design, decoration, and remodel needs. My husband and I had our kitchen expanded to about twice the size that it was with a massive design face lift to top it off. We knew what we wanted out of the kitchen functionally, but we're overwhelmed with how to make it happen. Mary Jo has a dedicated ability to bring your ideas to life, and can tastefully fulfill different people's personal styles and tastes. Rodney is very knowledgeable in his trade, and put our worries to ease about moving a load bearing wall, while Mary Jo was able to make it pleasing to the eye. The couple work together as a solid skilled team to bring a whole new level of service to a rennovation job. It was great to be able to work with them directly from the conceptual start of the re-design, all the way through to the beautiful decorating at the tail end of the project instead of having multiple different companies, design plans, build, and decorate the new kitchen. The bathroom remodel, and bedroom decorating that my referring friend had done are equally impressive. Although we have completely different tastes, Mary Jo and Rodney were able to bring what each of us like into full focus, including some beautiful drapery and decorative pieces.

Mary Jo was a Godsend to us. When we first contacted her for our full basement renovation including the addition of a bedroom and bathroom, we were under an extremely short timeline. Although I knew making decisions in a short timeframe was far less than an ideal situation, she swooped in and came to our rescue! Her calm and professional approach and valuable input allowed us to efficiently make important and time-sensitive decisions about our remodel including paint color, tile and bathroom hardware selections. She delivered her expert opinions to us in a direct yet flexible manner and worked with our contractor in an extremely respectful and collaborative fashion. Despite the time crunch, she took the time to learn about our preferences and personal style and then made targeted recommendations to us. She was quick-to-respond to all our follow-up questions even after the 2 hour consult and was very generous with her time to help us finalize our selections. Our project was much-improved as a result of her expertise and targeted input and now that the construction work is done, I can see that our favorite aspects of the end product resulted from her direct influence. We recently started phase two of this project including seeking her guidance on furniture selections and placement and recommendations on things like carpets and window treatments. Now that we are able to work with Mary Jo at a more relaxed pace, we are really benefitting from her deep knowledge and expert input. Her “rules of thumb” are helping to determine the optimal furniture placement. When it comes to picking out rugs, window treatments and things like that, since she already learned our personal style, she is able to make targeted recommendations that really make the selection process easy for us. Instead of sifting through hundreds of possibilities, she is able to narrow it down to just a few solid choices for us. We are very grateful to have found Mary Jo. Her knowledge, expertise, direct communication and easy-going style have benefitted our project tremendously. She is our now our interior design guru and I highly recommend her!
