We worked closely with Matthew from ConsciousBuild on our rebuild and we had a wonderful experience from start to finish. He has an amazing design sense and helped us pick out almost all the finishes for our house from paint colors to flooring to stone and tile and fixtures, you name it. This completely eliminated any need to bring on a third party designer which saved us time and money. Working alongside Matthew ended up being my favorite part about building the house, as it was so nice to have someone who knew my exact vision for the house and was able to help me make all the pieces come together. In the end, I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. Matthew gained my complete trust and confidence to make on-the-spot decisions for me in situations that required immediate attention. In observing his interactions with the subcontractors on the job site, it was easy to see that he has gained this same trust with each of them. He treats everyone with respect and dignity, and it is quite apparent that he has built strong relationships with all the trades. Matthew is honest, hard-working and highly organized with an attention to detail – I cannot recommend ConsciousBuild enough!

ConsciousBuild is like no other SouthBay builder. Matt Linden, owner and hands-on Project Manager, is the most talented architect, designer and builder (all in one) and the most honest, detail-oriented, patient, articulate and conscientious person on Earth. His design eye is unique and genius. His knowledge of the nuts and bolts of building a home and his relationship with his subs rivals none. We love our home more than we could imagine thanks to Matt Linden.

So far, we are thrilled with the design and attention given to our Long Beach Peninsula renovation. The updates and vision for our property has moved our home from the era of the 1980's into the upper echelon of Italian Villa style homes on the Peninsula. Our third floor will now be the focus of the home that it should be. Our Master Bedroom and Bath will be completely updated. There is more work to do but, so far, we are thrilled with the work, vision, design and direction ConsciousBuild has provided.

I have had a few opportunities to work in conjunction with Conscious Build - each one of them a pleasure . The bright, talented & passionate team at Conscious Build is all about being of service and creating spaces people love to live & work. I was amazed by the time spent with each client - communicating and truly appreciating each client's unique and personal vision for their project. The spaces I have watched CB design & build are beautiful living and working spaces that provide a balance of function & style perfectly tailored to their client's needs.

There are a host of architectural design firms from which to choose in San Luis Obispo...we chose ConsciousBuild because of its mission statement and the sense of creative design possessed by Andrew Goodwin, one of the partners. Andrew not only pulled together a clean, functional design for the renovation of our two guest bedrooms but went further in selecting a quality contractor and following up on a regular basis to ensure "customer satisfaction". Totally recommend that you meet with ConsciousBuild before making a selection!
