con | form architects

I've been meaning to post this for a while but two things have prompted me to finally get typing. First at the weekend i went over to help my son look over some final snagging issues ( the little things you find after you have lived somewhere for a couple of months) that have been sorted in the Flat....... and I must say the flat is now looking better than ever. Secondly as I assisted my son with this project it will soon by time to help my daughter and I have consequently started to look round on Right Move...... adding the cost of the Wapping flat and the total cost of the renovation from soup to nuts there is nothing I can find ( for the money) that looks anywhere near so good as this refurbed flat . Thank's Ben and Eoin for coming up with the design and holding my son Jonny's hand throughout the process to make his basic vision a reality. This project has been a real pleasure to be involved with.

Having met a number of architects we were really impressed with Ben and Eoin’s can do attitude and creative ideas in converting what is a very unusual Edwardian house! They had some great ideas to maximise the space whilst creating a wow factor. They had an instinctive idea of what the planners would want to see in our specific case and the process was smooth even though our plans were unprecedented. Their project management and attention to detail during the build phase was very strong, they were very responsive and were motivated right until the end of the project. We deliberately gave them a great deal of freedom as we were keen that the end product would be something that they would be proud of rather than being overly compromised by our preconceived ideas. The result was a knock out and I was very pleased that the project won an Architects Journal award. We have no hesitation in recommending them and have done so already on two occasions.

We wanted the perfect makeover to create a calm bright home. We invited Con | Architects over and after several meetings and listening to their bold ideas, we gave them full carte blanche to create this space. Professional in their approach, attention to detail and in the friendly manner they dealt with us - the end result an elegant, bespoke and spacious home! We would highly recommend Con | Form architects.

Having previously worked with Eoin on the refurbishment of our Victorian terrace house, he and Ben were our first choice for asking for design ideas for converting the small loft into easily accessible storage space and a home office. Similar with the vicarious planning demands of a locally listed property, Eoin quickly produced quirky yet practical plan ( eg a hide away bed under the storage space) using a mix of still, glazing and London brick - sympathetic to the rest of house. In doing so we have now maximised the space, increased the head height and increased the natural light within the room as well as down the stair well to all levels of the house. Ben and Eoin compliment each other and ways provide helpful advice combining knowledge and passion for the latest design trends with a touch of commercial reality. We would no hesitation in recommending them.

We worked with Conform to completely renovate a one bed/studio flat in a Wapping warehouse. The warehouse was originally converted in the 1980's and the flat was not only tired but also converted in a style more appropriate to a 1980's provincial Semi-detached house than a London Warehouse conversion. We chose Conform as they appeared to have a good understanding of the mediums we wished to concentrate on ( Brick/Concrete/Wood) and this certainly proved to be the case. Ben and Eoin held our hand throughout the process and planned the complete transformation of the flat into an urban one bed apartment fit for the 21st Century. We very much appreciated their friendly approach and the assistance given all along the way ( including that of finding a quality builder who was able to deliver on 'the vision' at a reasonable price). We are extremely happy with the final result and would certainly recommend Conform on any urban projects.

I commissioned con|form to design a detached house in a rural conservation area. From my initial meeting with them they displayed their passion for original thinking and their enthusiasm for creating unique, honest and authentic architecture that was responsive to place. From my brief they designed something that was imaginative and distinctive and met completely my individual needs and requirements, and exceeded my expectations. In our discussions about refining the initial concept they were open and responsive. They completed a comprehensive design report for the pre-application advice, within which they set out the processes through which they had arrived at the final design. The clarity of thinking displayed in this process was impressive and gave the final design an extremely strong ‘story’. Working with Ben and Eoin over the course of almost a year was enjoyable and immensely stimulating. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending con|form.

These guys designed my own rear extension and refurb, and I've also worked with them professionally on other projects. They are great to deal with, have incredible attention to detail and are really passionate about creating brilliant spaces and buildings on everything they do, and they came up with some brilliant ideas for my flat which is wonderful. Great to work with on both large and small developments.
