We just completed the painting of our 1928 Tudor house. I saw Debra's work on instagram and loved her projects. I reached out via phone and have to say the process working with her was so easy and wonderful. We are absolutely thrilled with the colors of our house. Absolutely in love with the new look. I have never painted an exterior of a house before and so glad that we worked with Debra on the process. I highly recommend working with her!

Debra started helping us with our exterior house painting project the moment she arrived for her first visit. She asked important questions we never considered such as whether we were painting the house for ourselves or for resale as this would inform the colors selected. She listened carefully to our color preferences, made honest and creative recommendations, and provided color samples for us to observe over time. She is professional, knowledgeable and skilled in simply describing how a given color may look in different lighting and how colors should match the house style. Debra diligently guided us throughout the painting process, quickly responded to our frequent (and urgent!) questions, and often visited the house to see how the colors looked once painted. She often provided a number of different choices for us to consider such as different colors or just a varnish for a wood floor. She also has a large network of contacts and referred many different people and design websites to us including lighting, windows, and address numbers. It was a pleasure working with Debra and we’re thrilled with the results of our newly painted home. Debra was instrumental in helping our house live up to its full potential and we’re looking forward to working with Debra on additional home projects. We did a remote/virtual consultancy with Debra Kling to help us choose exterior paint colors for our house and garage in Washington, DC. The entire process was very smooth, with efficient communication, mailed samples, photos and lots of discussion about what we were looking for. We had previously worked with Debra on an in-person project and found the remote consultancy to be just as effective. We were thrilled with the outcome! Debra is fantastic-- she is patient but persistent, following up with us to ask how things were going and offering terrific suggestions about colors we might not have considered. I hired Debra to consult on the exterior of my house as well as my deck. I am thrilled with the result. Debra is amazing in every respect. We worked virtually, and she guided me every step of the way. My house is not easy since it is half brick with orange undertones and is either in direct sunlight or a wooded shaded area. Debra took the time to understand my taste as well as the layout and lighting of the house from all angles. She provided color options for the roof, body, and trim as well as the deck. She guided me as samples went up and answered every question I had along the journey. The result is amazing. I have worked with Debra as my only interior designer for over 8 years! In any home that I live in, I save some money just to be able to use her design consultation. What I love most about working with Debra is that she takes my ideas and brings them up to the next level. She's organized, is a great communicator and pushes me out of my comfort zone. There isn't one thing in any of my homes that she has picked that I don't absolutely LOVE! She finds unique pieces and her team is wonderful! Anyone that comes to my home remarks on how beautiful it is! I love working with her so much that I have also referred her to my best friend and to my mom for bathroom, bedroom and kitchen projects. In my current home I used her services for my kitchen, living room, master bedroom and now we are working on my main powder room. She also is a delightful person who gives her all to her clients. I highly recommend her! She is top notch in every way! It is hard to find a person who is creative and great with design but also organized and who keeps you updated on your orders, expected delivery times, etc. Debra is the BEST!

We found Debra on Instagram when we were looking for designers to help us remodel our very dated kitchen in the spring of 2019. We loved some previous kitchens she had worked on and it was a great fit with what we were looking for. The remodel was done November 2019 through January 2020 and we were so pleased with the results! Our new kitchen feels very clean, new, tasteful, and functional. COVID-19 accelerated our timetable to move to a larger house in the area and now we are working with Debra on designing for that new house. She is great to work with and we would highly recommend her to someone looking for a designer!

We hired Debra to help us paint exterior of our mostly stone house. Though my wife appears happy with her suggestions that were followed upon to large extent, it is a complete disaster in my opinion, with gross mismatch between windows and the natural stone color of the house. I am very disappointed with her ideas, that seemed to build on standard catch phrases of "contrast" or "accentuation" without taking into account the specific stone (they are not all just grey), or mortar color, and other backdrops.
