I had a small extremely outdated kitchen and had the feeling nothing could ever improve it. While visiting a friend and viewing her new counters from colonial I decided to pay them a visit. The service from my first visit right to the very end of the job was absolutely impeccable. They offered so much great advice and knowledge in the kindest way. The results in my kitchen are nothing short of spectacular and we are thrilled. Thank you so much!

Installers would be the only ones i’d call “pro”. One fella at counter as well. Delivery date given and time-slot (2-1/2 hr window) for delivery was tolerable, but installers were late due to issues with production. Office told me it could be vehicle trouble or traffic, when actually lied to us and reason was one of the “key”production workers walked out. Countertops showed up in 4 trips over 6 days, the second day of install, the apprentice went back to shop to pick up remaining 3 tops but returned after 3 hours with only 2, one of which still had bar clamps on it to hold material in place while the glue was drying. The 3rd piece was still not built (it showed up several days later). We had to get the installers out again to file down sharp edges and overhangs left from production to prevent skin scrapes and chipping. Then, a week later, the entire island top had to be removed and taken back to shop to cut and repair crooked and out of plumb backsplash. The only correspondence from the mfg after was an email saying i was 16 days late on my final payment. There was no follow-up, or inspection, so i guess im the bad guy for raising a stink about this. When i emailed Dave about this, his reply was simply “i understand your concern about having us come out to fix a couple issues”, we at colonial try hard to please our customers, heres your final bill. We still have issues with sharp and patchy surfaces on a couple of the tops, but it wont be dealt with by them. Being a tradesman in greater Victoria for over 32 years and working on residential, commercial, industrial jobsites, i’ve seen my customers on and off experience similar problems whether it be kitchen, bath, carpentry, plumbing and electrical. This experience with Colonial countertop leads me to believe they (and their staff) are sliding down that slope of self implosion that seems to resonate with so many businesses today. I’d wish them luck, but with the attitude expressed to me by their mgmt, maybe its better that they’re gone and make room for some one that cares more about their customers. Paul K.

Colonial Countertops installed our kitchen countertop this winter. Our Caesarstone Cloudburst cement-look quartz is a new product, and we are very pleased with it. The installers explained how to clean any stains, and even installed the soap dispenser and would have installed the faucet too, but I said we thought our plumber could do it. Excellent product and service.

Provided excellent advice, and its employees were exceptionally proficient and polite when installing the countertops. I would recommend them to anyone planning to change their countertops.

Very knowledgeable and helpful staff, not pushy and didn't try to sell me something I didn't want. They allow take home samples and always respond promptly to emails. Turn around time is good and install is included in the price, which is the best price in town.

Colonial Countertops came highly recommended and we weren't disappointed when we chose them to re-do our kitchen countertops. Even though we were only installing two kinds of laminate tops, they treated us as if we were high-end customers - so if we ever are, we will know who to call! Colonial did exactly what they said they would do and exactly when. They had patience for any questions or changes we had. They had good ideas and suggestions for changes we might make, and their installers were excellent. We couldn't be happier with the job.
