After 5 years of renting the business property, Hollie relocated her growing company to a larger location in Anchorage and has remained there ever since. Kasilia Pence, AKBD, a design associate with over eight years of kitchen design experience, joined Creative Kitchen Designs in July of 2017. Kasilia has found a suitable home at Creative Kitchen Designs, Inc, and looks forward to many years to come with the company. Rachel Broady, CKD, CBD, and current NKBA President, has over 20 years of kitchen and bath design experience and is the newest addition of Creative Kitchen Designs, Inc. She instinctively figured out my “style” and I pretty much told her, “pick your top 3 of x (cabinets, finishes, fixtures,etc) and she made it hard to choose between the 3 because they were all so fantastic! She made what could be a painful remodeling process efficient, cohesive, smooth and fun.

We started with an Architect a few years ago. That was not only costly but a totally uninspiring.mistake. Kitchen designers are the way to go, but not all kitchen designers are created equal. We tried 3 others before finally choosing Holly. She is top notch. She was the one who took the measurements so she knew the feel of the house AND she listened to us. She came up with three great ideas for us to work with. She also took into account the adjacent areas to the kitchen while helping us select cabinet color, counter top and wall paint. Our kitchen remodel became our "COVID" project and we wanted to take it at our own pace and do most of the work ourselves. She supported our decision and answered all our questions along the way. We are thrilled with our newly remodeled kitchen. Almost without fail, friends that knew our kitchen before, walk in and the first word out of their mouths is "WOW!". We feel lucky that we found Holly and that she was able to fit us into her schedule. We highly recommend Holly and Creative Kitchen Designs and will use them for any future remodel projects.

I found Creative Kitchens Design through the most reliable form of recommendation—word of mouth from numerous satisfied customers. When I first sat down with Kasilia, I knew less than nothing about remodeling an old house built in 1960. I didn’t even know what I didn’t know! Under the tutelage of Kasilia and Hollie, however, things fell into place and I ended up with a gorgeously designed remodel performed by the best contracting company anyone could ever ask for. Highest on my list of favorites are the cabinets that I purchased through Creative Kitchens. They are of amazing quality and simply make the kitchen!

I was so happy to work with Kasilia on our “Sea foam serenity” kitchen and living room remodel. I had a wish list that she fulfilled to a T. There were times I thought of all the decisions to be made would be overwhelming and Kasilia always said, “let me handle that.” Many times it was narrowing down choices, which made the process so helpful. We recently bought the perfect retirement house in the Wasilla area - great neighborhood, incredible views, and everything on one level. But the interior of the house looked blah and badly needed a makeover. Hollie and the staff at Creative Kitchen Designs took on the redesign of the kitchen, master bath, laundry room and guest bath. They improved the layout of those rooms, helped me select new cabinets, hardware and appliances and oversaw their installation. The results are amazing. The kitchen and master bath are shows stoppers and the guest bath and laundry room have been completely transformed. Would I recommend Creative Kitchen Designs? Absolutely!! They are very experienced, good at problem solving, quick to determine the customer’s likes, and easy to work with. On a scale of one to ten, they are way beyond a ten.

Danielle was our designer and she really put her heart into our kitchen remodel project. At first we were going to keep the same square footage in the house and so she came up with three designs. What I loved about that process was how she revealed the best one last! Then we decided to expand our house and so had to redo the design and incorporate all of the previous work and cabinets from the first order. Danielle was creative and super flexible about shifting designs. Hollie also helped me with certain questions by giving her professional advice from her years of experience. Kasila was always so prompt in returning calls and emails. When you walk into the showroom, you are treated like family! I love their showroom because they have all of the great features of Dura Supreme Cabinetry on display plus more for your to open and close.

CKD has done an excellent job for us. Hollie is a very good designer, she proposed several options, she understands well the desires of customers and she is able to adapt. The cabinets are beautiful. During the construction, Hollie has been helpful. For this project, CKD put us in touch with an excellent contractor (M&J Builders). As the pictures show, we had to deal with a small space.

My wife and I couldn't have chosen a better fit for our kitchen/bath/pantry remodel needs - Creative Kitchen Designs were absolutely awesome! Truth be told, we actually shopped around for awhile for an interior designer that we meshed with. Not a fun process. But after meeting Danielle, we were both so impressed that we knew the search was over. We primarily worked with Danielle, but Hollie also chimed in from time to time with thoughts/ideas based on her wide knowledge base. Danielle helped guide us from the concept stage to final touches of the project. She always listened to our crazy ideas and helped us create some custom features for our kitchen that worked out great. We found Danielle to be very easy to work with, prompt, fun, very knowledgeable, and always responded quickly to our requests, which were likely over the top at times. Holly has worked with me on one kitchen and Danielle on the next. They were both extremely helpful and knowledgable. The prices could not be beat anywhere in town (I tried). The quality of the materials are superb. The house cabinets were for new construction, and it was a huge job. No problem. With the condo remodel Danielle came up with a new kitchen design that made a small space functional, attractive and spacious. I would never have even thought there was an option. It turned out amazing. I will use them any and every time and recommend them without reservation.

Hollie Ruocco of Creative Kitchen Designs, Inc. was the first call we made when my husband and I made the decision to remodel our home in South Anchorage. I had worked with Hollie previously on two separate occasions as I remodeled kitchen and living/dining areas in my condo – phase I; and then two bathrooms and bedrooms in the same condo two years later – phase II. The design team of CKD – Hollie Ruocco and Danielle Bohn and their professional associates - M&J Contractors, Northern Technology Solutions, Jackie Gregory, Pat Tomlinson, Randy Steiner, Don Hutcheson, and et al. are without equal. Hollie took a daunting project – an entire house remodel, and with precise planning and timing, accomplished the project well beyond our expectations. Hollie is attuned to not only the industry itself, but her clients’ needs as well. She really listened to us on how we envisioned living in the house, and made suggestions on materials, placement, lighting, and more. Hollie also kept our timeline at the forefront, as she knew that we were planning a wedding at the same time we were remodeling. This attention to her clients’ needs was deeply appreciated as it took a lot of stress out of the process and made it an interesting and fun project. As with all projects of this magnitude, there can be bumps in the road. An example of this is when the fireplace mantle in the formal living room did not fit as expected. This mantle was customized at the same factory that supplied our beautiful cabinetry throughout the house. We were concerned, but Hollie and our contractor, Mike Peters immediately put our worries to rest. They had a solution and the mantle was completed and installed before we knew it. Hollie is meticulous about how she approaches and manages a project. Having her at the helm of this entire house remodel was the smartest decision we could have made. We are thoroughly happy with our home – Thank you Hollie and Team!!

We had a budget but it seemed like we might not be able to get the kitchen we wanted until we sat down with Danielle Bohn at Creative Kitchen Design. She came over to the house measured everything meticulously and came up with a beautiful design that we were able to tailor to our budget. My husband and I were very new to the Anchorage area and so we did not have a lot of contacts when it came to kitchen design and contracting work. I met with several other groups in town to discuss a full kitchen remodel. Danielle at Creative Kitchen Designs was the only designer I worked with who respected our budget and did what she could to work within it! She also recommended a general contractor here in town who was incredible. He was such a nice guy and was so meticulous with his work. In all honesty my husband and I could not have asked for the kitchen to turn out any better than it did. We love everything about it and would happily work with both Danielle and Holly again if the occasion ever arose. They were both professional, helpful and just a pleasure. I engaged Creative Kitchen Design and Danielle Bohn for assistance in remodeling my kitchen and contiguous powder room. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Danielle and found her knowledgeable, precise and very professional. Her advice and planning allowed the project to be completed in a relatively short time frame with no substantive issues or problems. We had one "panic Saturday" when our choice of backsplash tile clearly wasn't going to wor, and Danielle came to my home within a couple hours, assessed the issue and by Monday had a new tile selected and on order. Result - no delay in progress with the project. I highly recommend Danielle and CKD.

Danielle was the person in charge of my kitchen remodel and this was a rental unit. She worked with my contractor and absolutely developed a kitchen that I will eventually enjoy. A wall was brought down and Danielle replaced the two ovens with a single unit creating more kitchen cabinet space that was sorely needed in a 1976 design house. I love, love, love my new kitchen! We took out an entire wall and bedroom to make the dream kitchen we always wanted and Creative Kitchen Designs, Inc. helped to make it all come true. Hollie and Danielle were both honest and hard working with such an eye for perfection. Lay out and design is their strong point for sure, they know kitchens! Much of what we came up with had to be done sight unseen because we live in Cordova but that was no problem for these professionals! Recommend them to all our friends!

I cannot find enough wonderful things to say about Creative Kitchen Designs and especially Danielle Bohn. She helped us design a beautiful new kitchen within our economical price range. The quality and detailing on the cabinets and counter tops we selected far exceeded our high expectations. More than anything, I felt comfortable with Danielle's terrific advice. Ultimately, my husband and I made all of the decisions, but Danielle gave us suggestions along the way that shaped our choices. I love my kitchen! Holly came up with a creative design that maximized the counter space and storage in my townhouse remodel. Since I was downsizing from a larger home to a townhouse, I was concerned that the kitchen would feel "small," but it is more functional and spacious than the larger one in my former home. She suggested a corner sink that opened up a sunny workspace under the window and deep drawers for dishware, pans, etc., so there's no hunting in dark forgotten corners. Both Holly and Danielle are a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend them!

At the start of a major kitchen remodel, my decorator suggested we visit with Danielle Bohn at Creative Kitchens. The kitchen layout presented some challenges and she felt that Danielle and Creative Kitchens would be able to handle them best. Danielle was fantastic to work with. She was attentive to the details and enthusiastic from start to finish. She was mindful of budget and I did not feel pressured into a decision based on her preferences for materials. She never hesitated to come to the house to check (and recheck) cabinet fit details, or to review the lighting layout. When the decorator and I both were to be out of town during the project, she took on the task of checking on it during our absence. She had worked with the contractor before and they work well together. She reviewed the plans and rechecked measurements a number of times before she ordered. The cabinet order and installation went smoothly. For the laundry room, I wanted a less expensive option in cabinets than the cherry and she recommended a cream-colored Thermofoil cabinet that fits beautifully. The Dura Supreme cabinets throughout are gorgeous and I could not be more pleased with my new kitchen, powder room vanity and laundry room. I would be thrilled to work with Danielle and Creative Kitchens on a future project.

CKD helped us design the kitchen and bathrooms for our new home. Hollie and Danielle are both excellent to work with. They were very helpful with design ideas and making sure everything went smooth. The kitchen and bathrooms turned out beautiful. We have a beautiful home that we enjoy very much and they were a big part of making it happen. We would highly recommend them for new construction or a remodel.

We were very happy working with Danielle Bohn and everyone at Creative Kitchen Designs. The kitchen turned out beautiful and our living space is better for everything - cooking, daily living, and entertaining. We had several different layout ideas which Danielle took took the time time to design and discuss with us before we made our final decision. She was there from start to finish, checking on construction progress and making sure things were running according to plan. In addition, she referred us to excellent professionals for flooring, tile, and other work. The project required moving walls, doors, and windows, and even roof work. It stayed on time, despite winter weather. I strongly recommend this firm.

We are very happy with the work done for us by Hollie at Creative Kitchen Designs. Se was very helpful, professional and just a delight to work with. While she never tried to push her ideas or designs, she was willing to give us ideas and suggestions to improve on what we had in mind. The end result is one that I enjoy every time I am in the kitchen. Most of the time the remodel was taking place, my husband and I were out of town. Hollie was our advocate every step of the way, making sure that things were done on time and to her standards. As a matter of fact, she brought in a separate contractor to redo one of the finish items on the range hood which she was not completely happy with. She also worked with another contractor to get a piece of the counter top backsplash changed out that didn't fit properly. Those are the kind of things that are sometimes uncomfortable to deal with but Hollie made sure that the finished product was as it should be. Overall, we couldn't be happier with our experience with Hollie and have, in fact, aready recommended her and her company to friends.

She was on top of every single detail of our cabinet design and installation, even the ones we didn't know we didn't know. Hollie and Danielle are both excellent designers and wonderful people!! I would highly recommend them, from kitchens, bathrooms, to laundry rooms, they do amazing work. We worked with the designer Danielle. She was very comfortable to work with and very patient with our ideas and changes that came up. Danielle is organized efficient and has an easy going personality. I would definitely use her again for future remodels.

We really enjoyed working with Danielle. She listened to our needs and designed our bathrooms for us and our budget. She deigned our master bathroom and another full bathroom. She communicated well with the construction contracter (whom she recommended and we also verified references) to help manage the project and implement her design. We are so pleased. It's been 6 months since completion and I still pause on a regular basis to admire it.

I was skeptical about hiring another designer after having a negative first experience. A friend recommended I stop by Creative Kitchen Design and talk with them. I'm so glad I did. When I stopped by their office and explained to Holly my plans of bright, colorful and functional cabinets, she immediately paired with me with Danielle. It was a pure joy working with Danielle. She was extremely professional, organized, knowledgeable, creative, and fun! She was comfortable making decisions, and also supportive of decisions I wanted to make. She also paired me with great folks to do the installation and countertops. Danielle took care of all the details, so there was no stress involved for me. CKD redesigned first our kitchen and then our master bathroom. We are very pleased with both outcomes. They are pros. They work closely with an excellent contractor who also comes highly recommended and does top work without utilizing outside sub-contracting.
