John did two renovations for me where the previous contractor had really made a mess of things. One of these turned out to be doubly difficult as the previous contractor had done everything in the wrong order, and hadn't even got the required permits- a very nasty situation which John and his team turned around- both by using his excellent relationships with the relevant authorities, and by getting the highest quality craftsmen on the job in a completely organised and controlled manner. You will not find a better (or a more straightforward) builder in Atlanta.

We hired JRR for a complete bathroom renovation and a wall insulation/window replacement project. They were on the expensive side but absolutely worth it. JRR provides design advice and is a partner in the planning process and then delivers on all the details. I heartily recommend and will use them in the future.

Their methodical approach to a project’s lifecycle, coupled with the strength of a knowledgeable and personable team was key to the project’s success. The design phase of the project was particularly helpful for me, as it helped me to visualize the final product. Niki and Angela made what seemed a daunting task incredibly easy. The design phase served as an important expectation-setting step in the transformation of a dated, well-used bathroom.

John Rogers Renovations delivered in producing a high quality outcome that exceeded our expectations. When we initially contacted John Rogers Renovations , we had purchased a house and wanted to renovate and update it. John said that he was booked for several months, and we decided to use a different contractor who was immediately available. That turned out to be a bad decision. Skip forward four months, and the project was way behind schedule, the work was substandard and the site was in shambles. After obtaining expert advice, we discharged that contractor at a loss, and again contacted John Rogers. John tried to work us into his schedule expeditiously and accepted the uncomfortable position of tackling a mismanaged job site. Our project with John began with a design phase. John's team proceeded to define the scope of work. Particular effort went into a redesign of the kitchen. They presented us with varied options for a kitchen remodel. The one we selected makes optimum use of the space for our needs, and is a vast improvement over the plan developed by the previous contractor. The plans were detailed, and Angela produced 3D renderings. Once the construction phase began, John Rogers' organizational skills were stellar. We received a schedule showing graphically when each of the subcontractors would be on site. The job kept on schedule, with the major exception of delays by our cabinet maker, with whom we had contracted while working with the previous remodeling contractor. In all of our dealings with JRR, the work performed and the costs involved were discussed with us. John's process insures total transparency, which in turn engenders trust. All costs were defined prior to execution. We mainly worked with John's construction supervisor Joshua, who was reliable and responsive, and a genuinely nice fellow. Together John and Joshua insist on high quality work and dependable scheduling from their subcontractors. John has a keen eye for construction details, and makes regular visits to observe progress. In several instances John suggested trim options that make a stylistic difference. If he decides any facet of the work is imperfect, he will have it redone, at minimal imposition and no cost to the client. For example, near the end of the kitchen remodel he thought the stove backsplash tiles might be off level by less than an eighth inch over several feet, and he contemplated retiling. To my critical eye they looked fine, and I asked him to leave them. We did have areas of dissatisfaction in the process for selection of hardware. I was asked to procure many items without adequate knowledge or guidance: hinges, vents, etc. It was exasperating for me to spend hours trying to identify and select these items, and then be told they were the wrong type. The fact that the team did not have control from the start, but instead adopted a mess, certainly contributed to a more rushed selection process, as compared to their usual remodeling job. When I spoke to Josh several months after completion, he told me JRR changed procedures to improve selections -- by Josh specifying hardware items, and the addition of an interior designer on staff to assist in stylistic decisions. My best advice, regardless of the contractor, is to take the time to specify in detail the work to be done and the materials to be used in advance. All difficulties aside, ultimately the most important remaining and enduring fact is the beauty of our remodel. After confronting a disastrous mess, John had the skills to provide us exactly what we had wanted, and he insured the work was done correctly. He fixed the items botched by the original contractor. We at all times felt we knew what work was being done and the costs involved. The end result is lovely, and John actually achieved the outcome of which we had dreamed. If you want a high quality remodel with transparency in the process, I can recommend John Rogers Renovations.

John Rogers Renovations and his entire team far exceeded all of our expectations for our full kitchen renovation! From the moment planning began, John was responsive, respectful, and transparent. He guided us through making good budget decisions and selecting items that met our family's needs. During construction, John, Josh, Niki, and all of the contractors were prompt, respectful, accessible, and responsive. We had a master plan and a schedule each week that ran like clockwork. He and his outstanding project manager, Josh, stayed on target and made accommodations when our family had needs or requests that required adjustment. My experience with John Rogers was an outlier... in a fantastic way! Having been through a number of renovations with other contractors, John stands out. First, he is a wonderful communicator and I find that communication and expectation setting are key to a good working relationship. He provided almost daily updates via email, had a complete schedule online that was continually updated and, most importantly, he called me when the project or question required a conversation. He was also available via text if needed. Second, the cleanliness of the worksite was impeccable. While any renovation is disruptive (in this case our kitchen), John and his team kept the work site and our house very clean. Everyone that we came in contact with from project manager to subcontractor was extremely professional and courteous. John and team are also patient. He deals with inevitable scope creep in a patient and "let's find a solution" manner. In fact, it became a joke on our project that "when you give a mouse a cookie"... I cannot say enough good things about John Rogers. I will use him for every renovation going forward without hesitation. We've recommended him a number of times already.

John Rogers Renovations, Inc. was hired for an extensive renovation of a home we recently purchased. John's design knowledge, trustworthy subcontractors and keen eye for design, along with the finished product, are reasons we chose his company. My wife and I hired JRR to complete a major kitchen and family room renovation. Because of the proposed structural changes and the price, I was extremely hesitant to move forward with the project.
