“Bespoke: Custom by Definition.” In 2012 Catherine Hersacher opened her own firm with this concept of truly custom work in mind. A project completed by Bespoke Fine Interiors should reflect the clients as much as their clothing and personal accessories do. Catherine believes it would be easier to be a designer known for a specific design “look”. However, her interest is in discovering the unique tastes each client has to find a style that makes them feel the most comfortable and happy in their own spaces. She brings this philosophy to all of her projects; Residential, Commercial and Hospitality. Originally from Dartmouth, MA, Catherine Hersacher, has lived and worked in several states and abroad. After completing a Masters degree from Savannah College of Art and Design, Catherine arrived in Aiken, SC in 2007. She was planning to spend one month training and competing on her horse, however the magic of Aiken somehow hit her in this process; she fell in love with the town and decided to stay! In 2012, after nearly 15 years of working in the design industry, Catherine opened Bespoke Fine Interiors. Her previous residential experience in Palm Beach, FL gave her an eye for detail and exposed her to exquisite design. Her years in Providence, RI were with a top Hospitality Design firm that afforded her the luxury of working on international projects for several elite hotel brands. In Savannah, while in grad school, she gained experience in flipping homes, which has been invaluable to learning how to make a project fit in a budget. And while living in Aiken, she learned the realm of design from a retail perspective, which taught her a new level of customer service. Another unique quality of Catherine, and therefore Bespoke, is she holds an undergraduate degree in Architecture and has extensive construction experience. This allows her to offer services at Bespoke, above and beyond the scope of decorating the interior of a project. “I am not a personal shopper; I am a partner with my clients in a process of finding the right pieces to their unique puzzle.” Catherine Hersacher

Catherine Hersacher of Bespoke Fine Interiors was truly instrumental in the design of our custom home in Beech Island, SC. My husband and I struggled with finding a design that suited all our needs and desires. We finally found a base design and through Catherine’s architectural knowledge, patience and skill we came up with a perfect design and layout for our forever home! I chose Catherine because an acquaintance of mine visited one of her project homes and described it as beautiful and tasteful yet a comfortable and welcoming space. I am so glad I chose her because we couldn’t be happier with the results! Our home is beautiful and functional, yet remains a home rather than just a showpiece. Catherine was also instrumental in working with our builder to achieve our goals. Her advice and dedication to our project began months prior to building and she met with our builder, ourselves & subcontractors on several occasions to reach design decisions as part of our team. I can’t imagine undertaking this project without her advice, knowledge and communication/management skills to reach our goals. And that statement applies not only to the professionals involved but to my husband and myself! Building a custom home can be overwhelming and Catherine simplified the whole process for us. To top it off she also has a wonderful wry sense of humor that kept us grounded through the process! Earlier this year, Catherine of Bespoke Design toured my recently purchased 1950s ranch to lend her design expertise. I was envisioning a complete remodel but was concerned that I may ruin the 1950s charm in the process. Catherine was extremely helpful! She encouraged me to take my time. Live in the home before jumping to massive renovations. She pointed out some extremely helpful tips and ideas. Six months later, I am happily enjoying my fabulous 1950s ranch which is sporting a new roof, gutters, beautiful handmade shutters, a gorgeous front door and new duct work. I have found a kitchen design that I like and am planning to begin the kitchen remodel in a few months. Catherine's consultation shared her views, ideas and advice which were extremely helpful to me!

Her thorough advance planning allowed me to be on vacation while all of the work was completed, allowing for a TV show-like experience!

We worked with Catherine on two major projects - a complete kitchen and master bath remodel in a dated and sometimes structurally quirky 1950's rancher. It was the largest project I'd ever taken on and was more than a little daunted by the magnitude of the effort. Catherine is one of those rare designers that brings not just a wonderful style and design sense to a project, but also a strong practical focus in terms of best use of budget, space and how a design and build come together ensuring the end result is not just pretty...but it's yours....and it works ! She's an endless source of quality resources and ideas. Truly a talented professional and just plain fun to work with ! I couldn't recommend her more highly ! (Some before and after pics attached - though they really don't do justice to the extent of the transformation !).
