Our home was built in 1997 with a very small cement front porch with 3 very steep steps which were constantly a challenge for the older family members to get up, especially carrying groceries, etc. Vic at Custom Home Elements gave us a great quote to install a handicap ramp to make the entrance more accessible for all. Vic worked with us to provide a clear diagram and Scope of Work for the HOA Architectural Application which was approved without any hitches. We went from a small, cramped entry way to an ADA compliant/style wide walking ramp and entrance made of pressure treated lumber, handrails, and virtually no step up into the actual house so a wheelchair or walker would not catch upon entrance. His design eliminated the steps entirely and is also a great looking front addition to the outside of our home. All Vic's workers performed admirably and stopped to review any questions or problems they encountered before the next step so there was no confusion on our part. They came to work on time and provided an organized clean work area. They cleaned up after themselves at the end of each workday and were friendly and hardworking. I am so tickled every time I go out the front door or come home carrying things, knowing I will no longer fear I will tip off into the bushes trying to get into the house. Custom Home Elements just completed a bathroom renovation in my home. The project focused on the replacement of a bathtub with a curbless shower. There was a time constraint and, most significantly, a health and safety constraint due to covid-19. Vic and his workers completed the job on time and the safety precautions they took were top notch. Even though his crews were in my home 8-10 hours a day during construction the temporary barriers they installed effectively isolated their work area. I had almost decided to delay my project - I am so glad I didn’t. Fernando, the project manager, was exceptional. He touched base with me almost every day with an update on work progress. Our mutual concerns about virus exposure demonstrated just how important a professional project manager is to the success of a project. Fernando was my eyes on the daily work activity and he made sure the work was done properly and to my satisfaction. The work area was left clean each workday and county inspections passed on the first try. In many ways the mark of a good contractor is how they handle the occasional “hiccup” in a project. My project had one. It wasn’t a big deal, but a few tiles needed to be replaced. Vic and Fernando evaluated the problem, agreed that a fix was needed, and fixed the problem. There was no conflict or disagreement - just a straightforward discussion and the problem was fixed. And now I have a beautifully finished, functional bathroom that meets my specific needs.

We had the good fortune to have Vic Paez, and members of his company, remove two small garage doors, a concrete and brick pillar, and did the modification for one large garage door. Vic, and every employee with whom we contacted, were very professional, did excellent work, and finished the job as scheduled. Vic and his team completed a 200+ square foot addition and kitchen/dining room renovation on our Alexandria home in July 2018. To start, we utilized 203k financing to get the project off the ground - this type of loan is paperwork heavy, bank-involved, and requires significant upfront contributions on behalf of the contractor. Vic was the only contractor we met with who showed the utmost attention to detail during the bank application process and willing to take the plunge with this type of financing. While his quote was not the lowest (it was also not the highest), his bid showed the most attention to detail and truly reflected the project we had in mind. From ground-breaking to ribbon-cutting, him and his team kept in close contact with us while my partner and I both worked 50+ hour weeks and managed a large dog in the home. All details, such as timelines, home-access, materials, changes -- even hiccups such as the tree removal delay due to weather -- were meticulously documented by email or over phone. We were always in the know and involved in every step of the way. This made for a seamless, mind-easing transition from the 1956 galley kitchen we had a before to beautiful chef-inspired kitchen that we have today. We also appreciated the fact that when we wanted something un-realistic or outside of budget, Vic was truthful and honest with us about what is actually possible and worked tirelessly to find alternatives to achieve our dream kitchen -- all within the parameters of the project budget and scope. Furthermore, his crew - especially his project manager Fernando - were always gracious and respective around the portions of our home that were not being renovated. Fernando even texted us about the daily, in-the-moment details such as faucet and cabinet-hardware placement to ensure we got exactly what we wanted. We finished the project entirely on-time and within the budget permitted by our financing. We couldn't be more happy with the results! It is absolutely beautiful. We saw the demolition briefly and occasionally viewed our property. It was an amazing experience to see the development of the walls, the extensive plumbing and electrical work being done and the beautiful painting of the walls. Custom Home Elements did an excellent job for us by enclosing our patio into a sun room. We're very pleased with the results. They were very professional in their work ethics. They had the inspectors here on time and all the work they did passed inspections. The cost was a little more than expected but then we changed the work orders which raised the cost. We got almost everything we wanted except for one flood light out back which would have cost another approx. $600.00. We would have done that but we already well exceeded our limit. I would highly recommend Custom Home Elements for any of your remodeling needs.

Vic at; homeelement.com and crew were very professional and did a great job. They actually completed the job in 4 weeks instead of 6 weeks.. My husband is on a ventilator and they installed a floor to ceiling room divider, This protected him from any dust made during the renovations. They were very neat and considerate.

The project was a master bath and hall bath remodel. Custom Home Elements was a pleasure to work with from the beginning. Always responded promptly and in a timely fashion. Custom Home Elements completed a large project entailing upgrading an existing deck and sunroom encompassing approximately twelve hundred square feet. This project entailed removal of the old deck material and an existing hot tub. It also entailed raising the sun room deck to match the level of the kitchen as well as upgrades to bring the whole area within code. Finally, the deteriorated T111` board on the sun room exterior walls was replaced with a PVC material nicely picture framed to match the rest of the rear house walls. Electrical wiring was removed where necessary, relocated, and deck lighting installed. Where sections of the original deck or home exterior had deteriorated over time, these were replaced with modern materials. Finally, the newly installed house elements were professionally painted and the sight thoroughly cleaned. The attention to detail, plain hard work, and ability to work with the homeowner to address any issues that arose as the old deck was dismantled and the new material installed were exceptional. The entire team was courteous and respectful of the property throughout the five week process. We selected this Custom Home Elements after a lengthy marketplace search and about five competitive estimates. Victor Paez had a very competitive price but, more importantly, was responsive and responsible throughout the process. He listened to our requirements and desires and worked closely to achieve them. His project management and oversight were very much hands-on without interfering with the ideas and skills of his work team. We would strongly recommend Custom Home Elements and Fernando Salido (the on sight master craftsman and team leader) for any work around the home. In summary, we are very pleased with and proud of our new deck and sun room.

Vic and his contractors bent over backwards to make sure my elderly uncle (the client) was happy with the work they did creating a new bathroom and renovating an existing one to be ADA compliant. They were on time and on budget. They created a custom grab bar for my uncles specific disability. I highly recommend them. Unfortunately no before and after pictures are available..

Custom Home Elements did a great, great job in remodeling my Bathrooms and Front Wheelchair Ram as well as building a Ramp in the rear of my home to accommodate my new Wheelchair Lift. Vic the boss did an excellent job with his drawing and watchful eyes an the entire job. I can't say enough for the crews working for Custom Home Elements as the were tireless and professional through the entire job. Although there were days when the weather did not cooperate, the crews still did what they could inside my home when they could not work outside.
