When we found the perfect house for family in The Hamptons after years of searching, we knew exactly who we wanted to decorate it to make it a home, Chango & Co. We were thrilled when they replied to our request and agreed to take on the top to bottom project under a tight timeline in our budget. And even more thrilled and impressed when they exceeded expectations, within budget, within the timeline, in the middle of a pandemic. With so many options out there, we wouldn't have even known where to start furnishing a house, but Chango takes the work out of it and leaves you with the fun part! They take your ideas and inspiration photos and present you with a beautiful, perfectly curated set of options for each aspect of the home. Chango's confidence and organization will make you feel at ease through the process. While I would have trusted Susana and her team to just work their magic without our input, getting to choose from their carefully thought-out suggestions makes the house really feel like us! Walking into our home everyday just makes us feel so fortunate, and when we are away for a day or two, we miss it! It is comfortable and happy and exactly what we wanted. While the end result of our home would have impressed us regardless, the fact that they did most of the work during the March and April quarantine was remarkable. They recognized our new urgency to be in a safe, happy home and completed the project on time. For that, we will be forever grateful!

From start to finish, Chango exceeded our expectations in every way! Susana, Bonnie and the rest of the team made the project enjoyable and FUN. We purchased an old home and they immediately caught on to the overall feeling we were hoping to create with very minimal input from us. We are a busy family - 4 children under 4 years old, two of whom are twins born in the height of the pandemic and we both work full time. We had little time to devote to our project and Chango made it seamless. The design meeting was organized and efficient, having ~5 choices per item allowing us to give as little or as much input as we wanted. They understand what is important to young families and make suggestions of things we would never have thought of. Six months later, we still walk through our house in awe of Chango’s talent. We truly thank Chango for turning our house into our dream home!

After spending a year working with Chango & Co to build and furnish our home, we couldn’t be more excited about the finished product. There are countless decisions to make through the process, and having Susana and her team with their years of experience and artistic vision to guide us through the project was invaluable. They did a remarkable job of taking Chango’s trademark design aesthetic, which we love, and intertwining it with elements of our personal tastes to create an end product that is better than we could have ever imagined. When we think of chango, some words that come to mind include; thoughtful, attentive, efficient, playful, collaborative, creative, inventive. They are extremely organized and just sooo good at what they do, while having so much fun! When we purchased our home out east, we knew we wanted to soften the space to create a relaxing beach vibe which one could enjoy all year round. We of course had no idea where to begin... Outfitting a house in its entirety from a remote location can be stressful and time consuming. The team handled every bump in the road and made the process both easy and fun! The installation, top on the list for most exciting days yet! Chango continually listened to our needs and entertained our hesitancy (even when they knew they were right on point). The convinced us to hang a canoe in our house! Every decision was perfectly executed. We feel extremely grateful for their work and the joy that our home has brought us this past summer. They have provided us with an oasis, an escape out of the city to unwind and enjoy the company of our family and friends. We look forward to spending many summers, holidays, and weekends in our hamptons getaway.

Months later we still can't believe the transformation! How lucky we were to have the opportunity to work with such talented designers! It's basically impossible to describe the magic of Chango & Co in a simple online review. We still gasp when we walk into our home several months later, and I will forever be grateful to Susana and her team for delivering a space that our family loves day in and day out. This was our first time using a designer and the Chango team was so helpful and gracious as we learned the ropes of what goes on during a large(ish) design project. We hired Chango to help make our large, lofty, and somewhat industrial loft turn into a family-friendly, cozy home. We were originally focused primarily on our kitchen, living space, and bathrooms, but the project evolved (as projects do), and while I was hesitant at the beginning to allow the project to expand, I am SO, SO grateful that we did it because this home makes me so happy and was worth every penny. Susana had so many brilliant ideas on how to soften the space and bring use to the areas in our home where we didn't traditionally hang out. She is a pure genius when it comes to kid spaces, but the more sophisticated areas she designed for us are equally as stunning. She also does an incredible job accessorizing the house with art, books, and decorative objects - and in my opinion, those little details are what truly makes a home shine. Most importantly though, she listened to what we were asking for, understood our style, and delivered the home of our dreams. Thank you, thank you, thank you Chango team!!!

When my wife and I first met with Susana and the Chango team to initiate our project, my wife said she would like our home to feel like Zen oasis, and I said I wanted a farmhouse. At least I thought that was what we were building … hmm. That is a very difficult needle to thread to say the least, but that is exactly what Susana and her team were able to do. We are thrilled with results and recommend the team without reservation. It all started with the creative process where we sat down with the team and talked in more detail about how we would like the home to look and feel. They asked about inspirations, colors and accents as well as practical matters related to function and flow. How did we want to use the home? Would we be entertaining family and friends? Did we want common areas and more private spots? Would it be an all-season home or summers only? After the initial intake Susana and the team went to work creating the vision … which was particularly difficult from my perspective because there was nothing to look at but a hole in the ground. They considered each room independently and then within the broader flow of the home. How do we give each room personality, but not too much personality? Or should we just have fun with particular rooms and not worry about restraint? Restraint will be for someone else. The kids’ rooms are great examples of how the team can create the vision when given full autonomy. It is clear that Susana and the team were meticulous about each and every detail and made each room special, warm and inviting. Once the vision was created we spent an entire day with the team at their office in Brooklyn looking at furniture, rugs, headboards, lights, ottomans, etc. They had each room organized and a couple choices per room that would mess well with the overall vision. I thought we may never finish. But they never tired ... always encouraging and offering guidance and a glass of wine when we were late into the today. I could hardly remember what we selected but they took perfect notes and sent us a follow up folio with each piece and room design. Of course with project such as this, there is always changes and refinements ... we changed our mind on a particular piece or they found a certain wallpaper was not as durable as expected. This part of the process was an easy flow with honest give and take. They always brought the full knowledge of the team to our project. All parties shared ideas, made suggestions, and worked well together as a team. If my wife or I had a question and they did not have the answer (rare), they would were at ease working with vendors and technicians and were always ready to ask tough questions and push back as appropriate. They always had our interest at the forefront of every engagement. And then the big day!! The installation is done; the moving trucks are gone; 18-months of work is behind us; uncountable numbers of emails have been sent and received; dozens of conference calls are over. It all comes down to this ... Susana and the team meet us at the front door; they are calm and confident ... exhausted for sure, but that good tired when you know you’ve nailed it. We are ecstatic!! We walk each room with the team talking about the colors, the pieces, the accents, the personal photos, the framed pictures ... it’s perfect!! We love it!! As I said that day, it was due to their work that this house became our home. And yes, they threaded that needle ... we have a zen farmhouse. First of it’s kind.

When my husband and I decided to embark on the adventure that is a ground up build in the country, we had no idea how all-consuming the project would be. As the project manager, I knew very early on that I needed a designer who would be my partner and visionary throughout the process. After interviewing a handful of designers and firms, I met Susana & Josh. I knew immediately that Susana understood the vision for our home, and that they were the team to bring our dream home to life. From contracting and design, through installation, Susana and her team were responsive, professional, creative, and so much fun to work with. Chango & Co helped my husband and I decorate our new apartment. The way they work makes the often daunting and cumbersome process of decorating an apartment actually rather seamles. What's more, they were a pleasure to work with and they stuck to our budget! We are thrilled with how the apartment came out. It really looks phenomenal.

When we closed on our beach house last winter, I was faced with the disappointing reality that I wouldn't have the time I needed and wanted to dedicate to a big interior design project (previously a long-time dream of mine.) From our first "discovery" call to the big, brilliant reveal of our stunning new home (I literally wept with joy), and every step in between, Susana, Josh and their team exceeded our sky-high expectations. Chango & Co. redesigned and decorated the parlor floor of our brownstone in December 2014. As a general contractor, I am always a bit leery when having to work with new designers. Not so with Chango & Co. Susana and Joss run a well organized and efficient operation. You can tell they love there jobs by the light hearted and fun atmosphere they and there team create. They are thorough and on top of there game. Susana has a very unique and creative design style that is un-matched, creative, beautiful, comfortable, attractive space with a pretty impressive wow factor. Josh was a master at making the home come to life with music that was heard but never seen. We were so very fortunate to work with with Chango this year. They created the interior design for our entire main floor, which included the living room, dining room/kitchen, office, and bathroom. They also designed our master bedroom, including drapery and furnishings. They also spiffed up our main hallway landing and entryway. They also provided the designs for our fireplace mantel and built-ins. We adore what Chango has done with our home. Our home is an older home, and we've worked with quite a few contractors and other professionals in our renovation efforts. Chango was, simply, the best firm we've worked with. Everything you'll read here on Houzz about them being on time and on budget is true, but what we found even more valuable was the level of professionalism they brought to the job, and the high quality of the professionals they brought on board to work on our home. All of the professionals were honest, on time, kind, and excelled at what they did for us, from drapery to rugs to wallpapering. Such a relief, because many of the contractors and tradespeople I'd worked with in the past did prove to be unreliable at best and dishonest at worst. Such a relief to know I was in the best hands during our project (and didn't have to suffer through Angie's list reviews!). As for Susana and her design team? They make your house beautiful, but warm. Gorgeous and thoughtfully designed, but cozy, comfortable, delicious. A place that you can't wait to come home to every day, a place that all your friends and family want to be, without being afraid that they're going to break a lamp or stain the furniture. I adore coming home every day to my home, and I'm having a blast having friends and family over to enjoy it as well. Everyone that comes here is transported. I just can't believe that I live in such a beautiful place, but also one that feels so, so very cozy. I have three children 5 and under, and they just love it. And I love that they love it and enjoy it as we do. (The beautiful throws throughout the living room are especially popular on weekends.) Susana also loves to surprise, and this was perhaps the most touching part of working with her. FOr example, upon our "reveal," I noticed a group of four small framed art pieces. They were delicate and soft, like a whisper, and perfect in the spot she placed them. I asked, "Where are they from?" She said sweetly and quietly, "I had them made for you." And she smiled this soft, warm smile, and it all came together for me. I was instantly so grateful that we were on the receiving end of that love and care. Susana loves what she does, and she's incredible at it. At the end of the day, in the immortal words of Susana Simonpietri, our house is "*&^%ing beautiful." I have never hired a decorator before and interviewed several before I found Chango & co. Meeting Susana and Josh for the first time, I just knew that they were "the ones." They had such an amazing energy about them without every feeling the least bit pushy or overbearing. The experience was easy and a pleasure the entire way through. Susana was always incredibly thorough, responsive and eager to make sure that we were completely happy with each and every decision that was made along the way. I definitely had strong opinions about certain items and she continued to provide us with endless options until we were we're completely satisfied. She took the time to truly understand my style, likes, dislikes and provided us with a beautifully decorated home that reflects exactly that. Chango designed and decorated the first two floors of my 100 year old brownstone in Brooklyn. They did an unbelievable job - everything is beautiful, and I have received so many compliments on their work (even from friends who were sceptical about the whole idea of using an interior designer rather than DIY). They were so helpful and communicative, and the attention to detail was really remarkable. One of the things I liked the best was that they really listened to my needs and tastes, and the final product is a house that is both beautiful and very suited to my lifestyle. One indication of how in tune they were with my needs is that my own art and objects integrate seamlessly into the the things they chose. I also loved how stress-free and seamless the whole process was. I'm an extremely busy professional, and Susana and Josh were great about communicating with me by email, coordinating perfectly with the GC, and taking care of every last thing - from finding fireplace logs to setting up all my home electronics. I'm still amazed at how they were able to be so responsive to my needs, while taking so little of my time. Plus they were always just cheerful and great to deal with. Finally, a word about budget. People in New York City could easily spend 5 times what I did decorating a home. I was feeling "cash poor" after buying the house and doing some structural renovations. Chango's finished product looks luxurious, beautiful, curated, exquisite - but stayed within my budget parameters, of which they were always very respectful.

I've had the pleasure of working with this company and they did an amazing job under really tough time constraints. They were completely professional throughout the whole experience. Anyone who hires this firm should consider themselves in for a treat and extremely lucky. The work is breathtaking and will make you want to cry.

I was fortunate enough to hire Chango & Co. to do a renovation of my two bedroom apt. on Central Park West. I gave the owners of Chango, Susana and Josh, a ton of creative freedom to create something to fit my taste and budget. I was truly blown away with how they transformed my dark shell of an apartment into an amazing space with beautiful decor and amazing color schemes. The place feels larger and lighter now, and the built-ins were installed with incredible detail. The furniture choices were also perfect. The owners of Chango are the consummate professionals, and Susana's attention to detail and taste is second to none, in my opinion. The place has been re-wired with the latest technology, and Josh took a very hands on approach with the installation, which I really appreciated. I couldn't be any happier with the finished product. Susana Simonpietri is a talent. She and Chango & Co. have recently completed a clean, modern and functional redesign project on my challenging upper east side apartment and needs. Susana was pleasant, patient, and detailed to work with and my wife and I are thrilled with the result. Susana is capable of either working very closely with clients that desire more hands-on input (like me) throughout the design and renovation process and keeping them very involved in directions and choices or, alternatively, just taking a project over for clients that want minimal or no involvement. I have worked with Chango & Co. on three separate residential projects (so far!). Each and every project was completed within budget and exceeded my very high expections (no easy feat coming from a picky New Yorker). The staff at Chango & Co. are highly skilled, have exceptional taste,are extremely professional, are able to communicate effectively, capable of working within tight budgets and are able to meet strict deadlines. As a first time homebuyer, Chango & Co made my project as simple and easy as possible with their straightforward pricing and personalized attention in balancing my design requirements with my functional needs. They absolutely nailed my aesthetic vision of a modern yet minimalist bachelor pad without breaking my budget. Clean, subdued, elegant, functional. I worked with Susanna on two different projects and the creativity and intelligence she brought to both was impressive. She designed The Mermaid Oyster Bar for me and it was not without its challenges. The trick was to create a new look for an existing, established brand and she succeeded on all fronts. She created a clean, modern take on a New England seafood restaurant and her design helped make the restaurant an instant success.
