I normally do not bother writing reviews but had to share my experience with this one.
I was sent a "sales guy" to provide me a quote. He gave me this huge sales pitch, he took a video, took measurements, sold me the garage of my dreams and I received a quote which I accepted.
The sales guy did not include the borders in my quote which was a necessity and discussed with him. You don't do new walls and leave ugly borders. I contacted someone to have them done on the side (extra $1000). The sales guy quoted me for small repairs on steps, when they actually had to be replaced. The owner never contacted me for quotes, so I contacted someone to have them done on the side (extra $325). The sales guy underestimated the number of panels that would be needed on the walls. After installing it, I get an extra $1,300 charge! I spoke to customer service and advised them that if something will go over the cost by a large amount, they should advise the client BEFORE installing it to see if it’s okay. She gave me a discount, so it ended up costing me an extra $930 (tax in). But the sales guy took measurements...not sure how that was missed?
But the cherry on the cake was this: I had paid for a POD to store my items. This whole garage process took about a good 20+ days to complete, and they started a few days after the POD was delivered. I have a small single garage. The garage was only finalized last Saturday.
The owner calls me on Wednesday afternoon at 4:15PM and asks me if my POD is empty. I said "no", so automatically he tells me I need to pay for an extra month at $250. No one called to tell me when it would be picked up and no one showed up at my door either. When I told him it was not fair - he said, "let me see if I can prorate the cost for you, you will only pay me $100". I honestly broke down and told him that I did not want to pay anything and that I was going to empty it right away and that his guys could come pick it up in an hour on that same day. My husband then called him and blasted him, and Andrew (owner) got very upset and said he never wanted to do business with us again.
Finally, Andrew agreed that he would not charge us for the extra month and told us the POD would be picked up before 9AM on Saturday (today). We woke up early, my husband got the heavy things out that I was not able to do on Wednesday afternoon and guess what, the POD is still sitting in my driveway!
I called the owner to advise him and all he said "well it’s a third company I cannot control what they do". But he was ready to charge me $250 on Wednesday only because I said it was not empty?!
The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because lucky for him he has a wonderful staff that understands customer service: Vanessa and the girls at customer service, Nick, Jamie - they all deserve 5 stars + for their work and service. They were honestly wonderful and if it wasn't for them, I would have given Andrew 1 star. Not impressed with the way this guy runs his business.
