CDR Studio Architects, pc

We loved working with CDR Studio. We were looking to combine two apartments into one and do a full renovation that would allow our apartment to work in different ways: a place to work, a space for entertainment, and, as well, a space that would be practical for family life and raising our son. Additionally, we are both aesthetically conscious, and we wanted the space to reflect our passion for color, pattern, and detail. As avid art collectors we wanted the space to have storage and display areas that would allow for evolving display of our collection. The design provides both, with different kinds of display throughout and the material choices, though beautiful on their own, they also provide a perfect backdrop for our artwork as well. We gave CDR a long program and they worked closely with us to make sure they addressed every item. Jon and Lea were able to help us communicate and express our vision, creating a new home that is both functional and beautiful. They are good listeners and remained open and encouraging to our input, not to mention they brought the project in on time and on a budget. I would recommend them to anyone!

CDR's principals Victoria Rospond, Jon Dreyfous and Lea Cloud are each totally involved in their projects and work closely with contractor, subcontractors and artisans to ensure that their clients get the best possible results. Whether working with one of the principals or a member of their team, I have always encountered a positive attitude and respect for the client's budgetary and functional objectives, as well as the ongoing needs of the construction team.

I've had the pleasure of photographing many of CDR Studio Architect's projects in past few years. I've seen the firm grow and assemble a strong and talented team that is as comfortable solving problems with pen and paper as they are with 3D computer modeling. With their integration of traditional and innovative materials, CDR's projects are visually stunning to photograph and are thought provoking to experience. Everyone I've met at the CDR office or on a job site has been fun to work with.
