Paris-born interior designer Caroline Beaupère grew up in Provence and studied both in France & Germany. With a comprehensive background in industrial and interior design as well as an MBA in international management she moved to the US in 1997. Her extensive experience handling high-end commercial and residential projects all over North America for 8 years while working with the most exquisite French savoir-faire naturally led her to start her own design studio in New York in 2005. Since then she's been dedicated to her clients' interiors expressing her eclectic sensibility in a mix of modern and traditional furnishings. Her love of unusual color combinations and unexpected materials allows for a fresh creative palette to re-imagine a space to her clients' delight. Her approach to design pays homage to timeless notions of sophistication while introducing modern pieces that create a distinctive yet harmonious environment. Recent projects have taken Caroline in many different directions, both geographically and stylistically speaking. From historical brownstones in Brooklyn to modernist lofts in Tribeca, from glamorous apartments in Chelsea and Gramercy Park, to elegant mansions in Paris, as well as warm and welcoming estates in Provence, Caroline creates fabulous and unique spaces that always reflect each of her clients' own personality and lifestyle. She has been designing and rejuvenating spaces in iconic buildings throughout NYC, such as the Ansonia, the Apthorp, the Ritz Carlton and the Grand Hyatt, to name a few. Caroline's attention to detail reveals itself in her signature woodwork and furniture design which make a powerful statement in each of her projects. In addition, her talent extends to stunning product design: her Dune collection featuring dimensional bathtubs and washbasins won Interior Design Magazine Best of Year Awards and her tile collection is highly anticipated. Caroline's work has been featured in New York Spaces Magazine, Design Bureau Magazine, New York Magazine Design issue, House Beautiful, Luxury Listings NYC, Interior Design Magazine, Objekt International, Corriere Della Sera, CTC&G and on NBC's LXTV.

Caroline is fantastic! Not only is she a fantastic designer, but she acted as our project manager (for our gut renovation) taking care of everything and very detail oriented. Caroline also designed a number of pieces of furniture for us. Her taste is fabulous, and just as important, she listens to what we liked, what our budget was, and what our priorities were.

We were introduced to Carolyn when faced with the challenge of an odd-shaped guest bathroom. Gorgeous does not begin to describe her work! She next transformed our living/dining rooms into a stylish and comfortable space. After she understands your taste, she steers you in a direction that combines your style with her incredible feel for colors, design, scale and decor. She creates a room that fits your needs and wants with an intangible best described as the WOW factor.

I can recommend Caroline without hesitation. She is a master of her craft with an unparalleled eye for detail and incredible vision. Caroline worked with us to modernize the traditional colonial home we purchased. We were not looking for a massive renovation project so Caroline expertly used paint colors, wallpaper, light fixtures, hardware, window treatments, rugs/carpeting, furniture and artwork to achieve a stunning transformation. We remodeled one bathroom, which was done on a budget and within the constraints of existing plumbing and footprint. We installed recessed lighting throughout the house and replaced virtually all light fixtures. Caroline effectively acted as the project manager eliciting impeccable work out of the electrician, the marble/stone finisher, painters, wallpaper installers, carpet installers and window treatment experts. She sourced local labor as needed and relied on others with whom she has longstanding relationships. We were the beneficiaries of her exacting standards as she requested that any subpar work be redone to perfection. Caroline's creativity came across in two examples of where we had asked Caroline to achieve our desired effect while at the same time limiting the amount of work required: swapping a wood-topped island in the kitchen for a zinc top and relaquering brown bathroom cabinets in a glossy, pale gray. These "small fixes" changed the entire look of the rooms. There are high traffic places (like entryway, family room and breakfast table) where we required durability without compromising style. We have three young children so items needed to withstand significant wear and tear. Caroline came up with solutions that meet this criterion and look gorgeous too. Our home is a beautiful and functional place that friends and family love to congregate at and it is in large part thanks to Caroline's work.

We have worked with Caroline to create our new home on the Upper West Side. It was a complex project - both in scale (making one apartment out of 3 distinct units) and in scope. Our goal was to combine the old world elegance of the landmark building (tiger oak floors, moldings and chandeliers) with contemporary furniture and technology (HVAC, AV system, state of the art kitchen, etc). Caroline held our hand through the entire process - from the original architectural plans to final fabric selections. She was a pleasure to work with - friendly, creative, and organized with a great eye for sophisticated design. Her wall and floor mosaics are absolutely spectacular.

Having lived in my standard box-like 640 sq ft co-op apartment in a 1965 white brick building for over 30 years, I finally had time after retiring for a gut renovation. Caroline created the apartment of my dreams- a unique contemporary, elegant gem that reflects my personality. It also feels larger despite my extensive storage needs. This remarkable result came about because in addition to being a knowledgable and talented designer, Caroline really understood my wants and needs. Caroline personally designed a beautiful kitchen backsplash mosaic of colorful birds and vines, a floor-to-ceiling walnut and glass display cabinet for a dramatic entry, and a dazzling bathroom mural of marble and glass. These and other elements make my place truly exceptional and amaze everyone who enters. A major goal was to provide as much storage space as possible. Using every inch, Caroline found space within the walls to create niches to display sculptures and to add bathroom cabinets. She designed several floor-to-ceiling wall units that provide a tremendous amount of storage and display space without overwhelming the rooms. When friends visit, they say that my place shows the best use of space they have ever seen. Caroline has an amazing sense of style. She is also friendly, practical, organized, efficient, and keeps a close eye on all details of construction. I referred two friends to her who are also very pleased with their results, and will continue to recommend Caroline to others.

"Caroline is truly amazing to work with. She has an incredible sense of style and knowledge of all types of materials and products. She was very willing to work with us within our budget and never once did we feel that she was forcing anything upon us. One of the best services she provided us was her role as intermediary between the contractor and us. She saw problems we never would have noticed and worked with the contractor to see that they were addressed. In addition she was the person who had the vision for how to make the space functional, open and aesthetically pleasing. In fact, her ideas were much better than any of the architects we spoke to so we hired her to draw up the plans! We could not be happier with the finished product thanks to Caroline!"

"I started working with Caroline when I bought my apartment in the city few years ago. Caroline has an exquisite taste, she's very organized and has an unbelievable attention to detail- all of which made this project flow seamlessly. Whether she was choosing the wall colors, tiles for the bathrooms or was picking the chandeliers – she was able to tie everything together beautifully - and transformed the apartment into a gem! She has listened to what my daughter and I envisioned for the apartment and made it into everything we wanted and more. I loved working with Caroline so much that I actually looked for another project and two years later she help me with my office space. As seamlessly as she pulled together a residential project, she has designed a beautiful commercial space. She was able to capture the spirit of what I have envisioned and created a unique, timeless and elegant space while using the finishes for high traffic commercial area. Once again she was able to combine beauty and elegance with practicality and simplicity. I'm grateful that I had a chance to work with Caroline on both projects."
