Ulloa Design provided excellent professional remodeling services from beginning to end. As an architect, Carlos Ulloa provided the plans necessary for our project. He consulted with us on several occasions to ensure that he had a complete understanding of our needs and vision for the project which included adding a master bath and updating our 1930’s home. Permits were obtained fairly quickly. Ulloa’s team of sub-contractors were also professional. They were respectful and provided excellent quality of work. Ulloa was very communicative throughout the entire process and transparent about all costs. Overall it was a positive experience and we would highly recommend Ulloa Design to any who are looking for a remodel or new build.

I cannot say enough good things about Ulloa Design Group. For some background information, our home was completely devastated by the water releases in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. We took in over four feet of water for two weeks and had to completely gut the downstairs of our home. We used Ulloa Design Group for a previous kitchen remodel and knew we wanted the expertise and professionalism of Carlos and his team to help put our lives back together. From design to execution, we couldn't be more pleased. Carlos is a professional in every sense of the word and worked with us to build the home of our dreams. I am still in awe of what Ulloa Design Group was able to create for us.

Carlos designed a beautiful patio for our backyard. It has plenty of space for entertaining, and practical space for outdoor appliances. The lighting and fans are beautiful accents. We love it!

Carlos is extremely creative! His education as an architect brings so much to the table. He thinks out of the box and has great vision! We have used him for multiple projects - total kitchen remodel and 2 separate additions!

Carlos Ulloa's modern architectural influence on our farmhouse inspired home exhibits his unique ability to introduce a sleek design while still capturing all of the nostalgic charm. We consulted with Carlos about a spilt floorpan with one side of the home being two story. Carlos ran with it and seamlessly transitioned the home to have a two story elevation all the way across. Thirty foot ceilings adorn the great room to help accomplish this effect and the shiplap style dual sided fireplace in the heart of the home is a true architectural centerpiece. High end finishes combined with vintage tiled floors, subway tile accents, and a mix of barn & dutch style doors throughout further creates that authentic farmhouse feel. We are grateful for and immensely impressed by Carlos's ability to adapt to the style of home we were seeking. He never once put his ego above the project which made for a great working relationship. As a Houston real estate Broker and in the business for 16 years, I would highly recommend Ulloa Design for any home remodel or new construction project.

Ulloa design is amazing. Carlos is efficient, oversees all his work and ensures you are happy with result. He has a way of getting your vision on paper to let you see, edit and then relaying that to his team who work in a timely manner. I never had to guess about anything with his work. We received prompt design details, budget and timeline for our project. The end result was much more then we expected or could even imagine from our photo. Ulloa design works with integrity and efficiency. I would highly recommend them and I will not be contacting anyone else in the future. This is the third time we have used them and we had one other awful experience in between trying to save a bit of money and we will not make that mistake again. Ulloa design will be receiving all future business of ours.

Carlos from Ulloa Design helped us remodel our West U house and we are completely overjoyed by the result. We just love our house and the experience was great as well thanks to Carlos. First, Carlos carefully and thoughtfully proposed designs for the additional/remodel to my house by taking into account the character of the original house and also utilizing space so there is a great flow throughout the house with lots of light streaming in and unique features that only Carlos cleverly could think of. Second, there is never a problem with Carlos. What I mean is that Carlos can find solutions for everything and approaches all parties involved in a very courteous and effective manner. As you know with a remodel, there are surprises but Carlos was able to effectively handle all obstacles thrown at him with wonderful agility. Third, Carlos is authentically a very honest and thoughtful person who treats all his employees and suppliers with respect and care. Lastly, the finished product is absolutely what we were hoping for – I AND MY FAMILY LOVE OUR HOUSE!

Carlos Ulloa designed and built our new house and we are absolutely delighted with it. I have only the highest of praise for Carlos who is great to work with! He is incredibly creative, knowledgeable, efficient and conscientious. He was available when we needed him and advocated for us when we hit a few of the inevitable snags along the way. The end result is a beautiful house of the highest quality!

Our house was broken into, and our large back doors (made almost entirely of glass) were smashed in. My first call was to the police. My second call was to Carlos at Ulloa Design. He replaced the door for us, and he was great--very responsive and helpful, and he gave us a fair price. He did a large remodel for us in the past, and we love this guy!

We wanted to add on extra space to the house that we had previously renovated. We met Carlos from Ulloa designs, and as he is an Architect and builder , we were soon into the addition of about 1000 sq ft. The permitting was handled efficiently, as was the execution of all the design requests. There were a few issues with the HOA in our sub-division but that was also managed well by the builder. The final result is an interesting living room space,and a bedroom and bathroom. We would, and have, recommended Carlos to many people. He is helpful, artistic, and efficient. What more could you ask for?!
