Carefree Pools, Inc

Carefree Pools has existed since 1952 and has been under the ownership of Gloria and John Bently since 1973. Since then, we have included spas and water features with our pool projects to make the pools more beautiful and desirable for our clientele. In this time period, we have won more National and International Design Awards than all of our Midwest competitors combined. John Bently is a "Certified Building Professional," and a "Certified Service Professional", both designations having been received after taking six hour comprehensive examinations about all aspects of running a pool business, both for construction and service. The exams cover business administration and the actual design, construction and service of all generic types of pools, spas, and fountains. These exams were given by the "Association of Pool and Spa Professionals", our national trade association, located in Alexandria, VA. The association was formerly the NSPI, or National Spa & Pool Institute, and has been renamed. John is also a graduate of the Genesis 3 Design School, a member of the Swimming Pool Subcommittee of the American Concrete Institute, a consultant to the CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Committee, US Government) in Bethesda, MD, and a consultant to ANSI (American National Standards Institute). He is also a member of the "Association of Professional Waterscape Designers".
