Chris and his team was great to work with and one of the few contractors that followed through on their quote. We had about 5-6 contractors provide an estimate then never get back to us, or didn't seem to know quite how to take on our project which involved structural modifications to our home. When we began planning we knew exactly what we wanted we just needed a licensed and trustworthy partner to take on the project. The team was very communicative, personable, and explained everything when we had questions. They were meticulous about their work, which shows, and cleaned up our home very respectfully when the work was done. Hopefully down the road we can partner with the Captivating team again.

Overall a good company. Francesca is wonderful as a liaison, Mark and Thomas do nice work and are also very pleasant . These three make it a pleasure to deal with. Communication is very important, and the contractors need to make sure that happens.

From dreams to reality! Chris and the crew did an amazing job of collaborating with us and managing a $100k renovation. We gutted our older, heavy cherry bar and office to create more modern, open and functional space(s) to suite our lifestyle. The office now has four desks, is soundproof, and affords us the space for our new "normal" with work / homeschool. The bar is over-the-top fun with beautiful custom cabinetry (thanks Mark!) and the painting of our favorite blue color just knocked it out of the park. The team also gutted / renovated three bathrooms. Chris was extremely responsive and we worked together the entire project. Overall, highly recommend and will be using Captivating Construction in the future.

We hired Captivating Construction to build my dream beach house . I could not be happier . Chris and his team made the process seam so easy . I was told how difficult it would be to build down the shore, but not with Chris , he was an excellent liaison between myself and the township, he listened to me and was able to implement my vision perfectly. Finding a contractor to build your home is an incredibly nerve-wracking process; largely due to the fact that you have to rely on someone you barely know with something of such importance. To add to that, there are only a few people you will meet in life that can be trusted and who operate at the highest level of care for their craft - beyond just being a profession. I was lucky to find one of those people to build my dream home, with Chris at Captivating Construction. I interviewed over 10 contractors for my project. When I met Chris, he laid out his proposal in a detailed, diligent and professional manner. He walked me through each stage of the project so I understood how all portions will be tackled. Even before I gave him the job, Chris came to my house several times with his team to review the site and what needed to be done to ensure he captured everything. He was obviously extremely experienced by how he analyzed the plans but more importantly during the home’s construction, to the point where he even caught structural oversights made by my (experienced) architect and engineer, and rectified them so the project would not be delayed, but was built correctly. In addition, he found items to incorporate or adjust that made my home more in line with the theme I was looking for. Chris built my home with an operating mindset as if it was his own, and made the home's construction much stronger than was drafted, including aesthetic designs that made the house truly shine, all while keeping my budget in mind. He kept me updated on every stage of the process and was with me every step of the way. Knowing how important this project was to me and how particular I can be, Chris answered my calls when I had questions during anytime (and I had a lot of questions!). As a professional photographer, I get the opportunity to photograph many homes. However, every time I step in a Captivating Construction home, I am blown away by not only the extravagance but the attention to detail. Working with Captivating Construction was a pleasure. They were very professional and had great communication throughout the whole process. I live in a condo building so they had to work with the super and be cautious of the other people that live in the building. This was never an issue. They worked well with the super and made sure they cleaned up before they left each day. The work they did in the apartment was great. They understood what I was looking for and had great ideas and recommendations.

It was almost a decade ago I had the opportunity to work with Captivating Construction. Out of all the contractors that we interviewed they immediately stood out. Their professionalism and ability to make me comfortable during this process was invaluable. I heard constant horror stories about other builders who had hidden fees as the job finished, this was certainly not the case with them. They gave me a price at the beginning of the job with the work that was promised to be done and it was all done and actually was finished a couple of weeks ahead of schedule. You can tell they're a perfectionist in the work they do by the countless hours they were there with their workers and the outcome of the finished product. We would use them again for another project and strongly recommend them to a friend or family member.

Captivating Construction (CC) built our home in Little Silver. It is a corner lot and the existing house had to be knocked down. CC totally transformed what had been there into the most beautiful, grand, Virginia red brick, Victorian classic home that we LOVE!! Everything we wanted, Inside and outside of the home, CC made sure happened in the most elegant way. They were all not only professional, but incredibly helpful with a lot of the decision making as well. I would highly recommend, without reservation, Captivating Construction for building the home of your dreams!!!

I am a first time home buyer and I wanted to do a couple renovations in my house - specifically the kitchen and two bathrooms. I dealt with Matty who was very nice .... I felt like I was dealing with one of my family members. He was easy to reach and was a straight shooter. Very happy with the quality and I should have done more of his recommendations!
