Citrus Pest & Disease Prevention Program

The Citrus Pest & Disease Prevention Program is an initiative funded by California citrus growers who cultivate and harvest fresh oranges, lemons, mandarins, limes and other citrus fruit for the world's enjoyment. The program was established to combat serious pests and diseases that could threaten the beloved citrus trees in California's orchards and backyards. Right now, the major threat to California citrus is an incurable plant disease called Huanglongbing (HLB) and the Asian citrus psyllid, the insect that can spread the disease.
