Cabinet by Design is a design driven cabinet, millwork and furniture manufacturer founded primarily on the principle of building high quality furniture, cabinetry, doors and other wood products. We are focused on the quality of our finished goods exceeding industry standards and client expectations. Cabinet by Design is a division of Archwood Manufacturing Group, Inc. established in 1985 and conveniently located in Van Nuys, California. Given the demand for high quality kitchens and built in closets, Archwood Manufacturing Group, Inc. has expanded to create a separate Kitchen and Closet division managed by our dedicated designers and craftsmen.

WOW! Cabinet by Design did a great job for me and I highly recommend them. I stopped by their workshop on my way home from Costco on a whim and one of the workers took my number. The owner called me back and we booked my relatively small job. I had a custom made desk that I needed cut dow to fit in a different room. The guys came, did an excellent job, cleaned up, helped me move some other stuff (not their responsibility but they cheerfully helped me). The owner stopped by during the job to check on the progress. He really cared about doing an excellent job. They even harvested a piece of trim from what was cut off and finished an edge for me, they didn't need to, I didn't ask, they just wanted it to look really good. Do not hesitate. Cabinets by Design is a great outfit.

Cabinet by Design is a husband and wife team with a standout wood craftsmen crew who are as nice as they are talented. Charlie is the chief designer and Sharon handles the administrative side. What a team. They really compliment each other. The wood fabrication crew is headed by Mario, who is a 5th generation master carpenter. They make pretty much everything in house. The talent level here is exceptional from top to bottom. Charlie is stuffed to the brim with creativity. He has remarkable problem solving ability. He is an artist who is up on all the latest trends of design. Their prices are very reasonable. You would expect to pay more for what you get. He took my older home and contemporized it and brought it into the modern age, but in a tasteful way that did not detract from the old world charm my home has. Charlie is a tour de force.

They were easy to work with and very creative. Their measurements were spot on and my kitchen turned out great. Charlie also remodeled the beams in my family room and the kitchen and we are very happy with the results. They have also been very kind and open to help with any other small home repair jobs that I have needed done.

I had space limitations both overall exterior and interior. Charlie spent as much time as necessary and as many iterations as needed to get a final design that was exactly what we needed. When I suggested an element he was not shy to politely tell me it would look bad or good, yet he made what I wanted so long as it would be structurally sound. The workmanship of the finished product is impeccable. The finish is exactly what we selected from the 6 samples he made up for us to choose from. Final cost was about what he estimated early in the design process (before a lot of details were specified).

It was a full kitchen remodel, and Charley and Sharon did the cabinets, and the design. You won't get better cabinets, or designs. Period. Not only did Charley and Sharon deliver on time, they did it for the price they said it would be. And, charley saved my butt a few times when other workers doing other things besides cabinets, didn't do what they said they would do, and Charley sent me guys to fix it. . Had I met Charley before we had hired other people to do things other than the cabinets, i would have given Charley the keys to my house and went on vacation. It is rare in life when you go through a remodel and you end up with more than you expected, and happier than you expected. Truly a great job!

Excellent quality and craftsmenship. Wonderful design elements. The best in the business by far!!! They made a small side table, an end table, laundry room, and two built ins. One of the build ins for for a bedroom with closet, drawers, and one built in was for my office with drawers, center lighted cabinets, etc.

This company is amazing! Don’t even waste your time looking for another cabinet company. Hire Cabinets By Design and your problems go away, period! This company from top to bottom is incredible. Charlie is a Cabinet Expert! Lucky for us, we found his shop near the Van Nuys Costco. I had interviewed 3 different companies for our custom kitchen cabinet design, and he was the one that we chose. His detail, passion, expertise and interior design advice all came together so well. We have a kitchen of our dreams- he surpassed our expectations and is still helping us with design elements of our kitchen. He worked with our budget, and produced an unbelievable masterpiece. He is so easy to work with, reliable, honest and pleasant. You would be a fool to not let him design your kitchen for you. He also does other wood work as well- like doors. We have an amazing Honduran Mahogany Front Door that even our inspector loved- all thanks to Charlie and Cabinet by Design.

Cabinet by Design is an amazing full service company that I can't wait to use again. We are a design and build team and have worked with Cabinet by Design closely on a few projects. One of them was an extensive remodel in Beverly Hills that included a lot of carpentry work with many details. Charlie, Karla, Sharon and the rest of the crew are extremely professional and pleasant people to work with. They accommodated our needs, listen and were there whenever needed. They stand behind their word and their work. They always aim for the highest level of work and performance. We will definitely keep working with Cabinet by Design.
