By Design Style completed 3 projects in my home between 2004-2014. The first project required a transformation in all rooms, while preserving several pieces of furniture and art that I loved. Gina Stigi quickly and sensitively proposed a color scheme, layout, what to purchase, what to re-purpose, and what to keep for now. She would typically present several options, such as "good, better, best" so that I could easily make a selection knowing that any of the 3 would work well and importantly, understanding why they would work. Gina educated me in a very light-handed way. It is fun to watch Gina's high taste level in action: she needs very little time to transform a cabinet into a lovely service bar, accessorizing with items you already own, that never looked better. I know one of her clients well, who has super-modern taste. And there, in a very large duplex apartment, Gina created a perfectly understated yet glamorous home. Her adaptability to different styles, her innate good taste, and her lovely interpersonal style make By Design Style unique.

Gina is simply the best. We were rebuilding our house after a terrible fire, and she very quickly and intuitively grasped our design ethic (mid-century modern in a rebuilt 1950s split level) and adapted to it. Great color choices, terrific tile selections, and even came in and placed all of our artwork for us (and did a wonderful job). Cannot recommend her more highly.

Working with Gina wonderful. She was very easy to work with, understood exactly the look we wanted for our home décor and then proceeded to implement it. I was very impressed with her ability to select paint colors and coordinate fabrics. Gina's knowledge of placement of furniture and accessories to complement each room was exactly right. I found her to be extremely professional, but still warm and friendly. I was impressed with her knowledge and would not hesitate to recommend her to my friends and family.
