We had a walnut desktop made for a built-in office area in our kitchen. I can't say enough about Tim's work! The wood is beautiful. Tim is such a pleasure to work with, very professional and friendly. My husband and I are already planning out future projects, we will definitely be using Brun again without question.

We decided that our dream kitchen island in our new construction home would be walnut and so began our search. We received quotes from several companies around the USA but decided instead we wanted a LOCAL mill in our home state of NC to create our masterpiece. Our search ended with Tim Brun of Brun Millworks. We visited his mill and determined immediately that Tim was definitely the right person for the job. His job site was impeccable, the quality of his work was outstanding, his price was fair, and he and his team hand delivered and installed the top exactly on schedule. In fact, the island was ready ahead of schedule. It was such an exciting day to watch its arrival and installation. We chose a 2" thick edge grain USA walnut with a double roman ogee edge and permanent finish in satin. The finish is amazing! It is not affected by ammonia, bleach, vinegar, oil and most importantly RED WINE. We do not baby this island at all and it cleans up easily with a bit of soap and water only and when needed a plain microfiber cloth alone to remove any dust. Everyone who visits says WOW! The BEST part of our kitchen remodel is our new walnut countertop covering the cook island and surrounding bartop. I was unsure what to do to give our kitchen a unique yet rich look. After a short conversation with Tim Brun, I knew he could do this. Our dark wood floors and white shaker cabinets are merely backdrops for the island. Tim's experience, skill and knowledge made this project easy to complete. I highly recommend him! Very few things are easy and carefree with a remodel. Tim brought my vision into our home flawlessly. We hired Tim to craft three different pieces for our new house. He built an outdoor fireplace mantle, indoor wet bar counter top and two interior barn doors. Each piece was different and Tim worked closely with us to create the exact right look that we were trying to achieve. The interior barn doors were heavily distressed and came out looking like they were 100 years old. We couldn't be more pleased with the quality of Tim's work and the professionalism he displayed throughout the entire building process.

Tim was SO wonderful to work with when building and installing my black walnut kitchen island counter top. I visually knew what I wanted from browsing pictures online, but I knew nothing about wood counter tops and all the various options and finishes. Tim was very knowledgeable and helped steer me in the right direction for my family.
